  1. Economy varies from ~$1100 to $1300. You didn’t post your exact dates/cities, so I just looked at DFW-SCL.
  2. Agree, if your first flight is on time, you should be fine. Check your reservation frequently to watch for schedule changes!
  3. There are no discounted international business class fares. This company does not have a secret source for cheap business fare flights. Most of these ticket brokers purchase frequent flyer miles (which is against the terms of every airline's frequent flyer program) and use them to sell tickets. Their address shows several other businesses in the same suite number; Delaware Corporate Services, Inkit, RBC DE2, LLC, SABBIA PD PROPERTIES, BRK Holdings, etc. Airlines have become very good at canceling this tickets booked with stolen or purchased miles. You could arrive at the airport and find your ticket canceled.
  4. No, never heard of it. Is there some reason you wouldn't use Uber? You can track your rides on that, and see who the driver and car is.
  5. No one here could possibly answer that question, especially with the paucity of information provided. Check with the requirements of the countries they are planning to visit.
  6. Codeshares are often a pain. Was it significantly less expensive to book with the cruiseline?
  7. You don't need to call, just go online and select a seat. I know my airline would not consider this a "disability." This is a very long flight from the east coast. Personally, no savings would be worth this discomfort and I would have booked directly with the airline, so I could choose the seat I needed asap, even if I had to pay for it. Note, with your problem, you cannot sit in the exit row. Good luck.
  8. Sad to hear that. I first sailed on the Wind Star in 1988 and have never seen this.
  9. Assume they would have tested you, and if you had a positive result, you would have been quarantined.
  10. Can take a billing cycle for it to show up.
  11. Absolutely not true. We deal with checked bags and all the carry ons.
  12. No, it’s the gate agents who are checking out your bags. I have gate checked many bags that were too large for the bins, or when the overhead bin space is full. OP’s bag is too large; wheels are included in the bag’s measurements. It will need to be checked. And, we just had a flight take a ten minute delay because of the FAs failure to notify us of the bin situation. All the bin doors were closed, but eight pax had their bags taken out to the jetbridge to be checked,
  13. Maybe years ago this was true. Not anymore. I am a gate agent for a major airline and there are upgrade protocols we have to follow that have absolutely no relationship to how you are dressed or if you bring candy. For domestic flights, premier status fliers get free upgrades and there are usually plenty of them in line for any empty seats. For international flights, upgrades have to be paid for with miles/money/upgrade instruments.
  14. There is not enough alcohol in the world to plan a group cruise. But, both will leave you with a massive headache.
  15. UA still shows RT, SFO-PPT departure 23 Jan, return 01 Feb for $5371 in Polaris. I just chose random dates. I see many other date combinations for the same price. They don't show this routing on Mondays, at least not right now. But, Jan 2024 is a long time away.
  16. I though you were asking about a "person of color."
  17. My renewal took over four months. A relative who renewed at the same time got their renewal two weeks later. There usually is no interview for a renewal.
  18. Impossible to do. Suggest for your sanity, you take yourself out this, and turn it over to a travel agent,
  19. Massive flight cancellations? What would those be? The Southwest fiasco? The only other “massive cancellations” I’ve noticed are for weather. Airlines have always had schedule changes; this is nothing new.
  20. Probably because upgrades at the lower rate are gone.
  21. I work in the baggage office of a major US carrier. Most damage claims are from hard shells. Spinners break off easily and often take the bottom piece of the bag with them. I stick to soft sided. I’d just add, please put a sturdy name tag on your bag with your correct contact information, and add this someplace inside the bag.
