  1. If I may jump in here and address your question. I was also on the 2023 WC and previously on two world cruises (2018 and 2022) where the Town Halls were hosted by Jason Montague so I have a point of comparison. I will say that there was a lack of courtesy eventually, but it did not start out that way. It was a result of ADM’s failure to address the issues people were concerned about. She did not come prepared, had no knowledge about concerns people had shared with the corporate office, and offered evasive answers to questions posed to her. So I think the frustration boiled over. IMO, her performance was a stark contrast to what we experienced with Jason. He had his share of critical comments (after all, when do you ever get a chance to air your grievances with the CEO), but he knew about the issues, and even if not able to immediately rectify them, he gave the impression that he cared.
  2. I agree. Since it is Barcelona, it would be easiest to just get a taxi.
  3. Just book the extra night yourself in the same hotel (much cheaper as you noted), and then email the hotel and ask them to give you the same room for the duration of the stay. I have done this in Tokyo and they were more than happy to oblige.
  4. No, the US is considered a safe country. I have not connected through CPH but have certainly gone through AMS from the US without the need for security.
  5. I think the poster is looking for a picture of the large glass bottle in the room.
  6. In Europe, definitely tip in Euros. Euros would be welcomed in Turkey, too. Europeans would probably give a couple of Euros tip, so €5 would be more than adequate. As noted, some countries do not take any tips at all.
  7. We got a letter, but I think it was from our TA and not Regent. Your TA should get on it since it is getting close to the 30 days for you. As Pcardad noted, it was $100 per person, I am not sure if it is more for the higher end suites.
  8. Regent has a ‘Welcome Home’ offer that is good for 30 days after disembarking but it is a smaller discount.
  9. There is no way seats would cost that much unless you priced it a 2 one way tickets. Here are some sample fares for random dates next May.
  10. Munich is usually very efficient but remember you will have to go through immigration before your flight to Rome since you will enter the Schengen area.
  11. But that is what Regent calls it - The Regent Signature Orchestra
  12. The whole orchestra plays after the show in the Horizon Lounge which has a large dance floor. They start at 10:30 pm because they usually accompany the show. A subset (usually one) plays in the Mariner Lounge before dinner.
  13. Actually, not the first time for dinner ever. There were several (about 6 or 7) on the 2022 WC, also organized by Emiliano. We went to every single one of them and managed to make a good dent in our >$3,000 OBC.
  14. They only have Euros when sailing in Europe.
  15. It will be on Mariner prior to the 2024 WC according to Andrea D. Priority for Regent because of the length of the cruise.
  16. Deposit for Grand Voyages is 5%- just booked one on board a month ago.
  17. I have no definitive information whatsoever. The only reason I think that this particular cruise may actually leave from Trieste instead of Venice is that it is the inaugural cruise and the shipyard is in Trieste.
  18. My impression was not so much that she would not commit, but she did not know (after stating earlier that dry docks are scheduled years in advance). In fact, I got the impression that she didn’t know anything about Mariner as she is completely absorbed by Grandeur. I don’t know if it was you or someone else who asked what she considered the three most pressing problems on Mariner, and the answer she provided did not address the question at all. As I recall, at that time someone shouted’ baloney’.
  19. Luckily, no - it’s a regular hairdryer.
  20. Unfortunately, that is all the current President seems concerned about. She spent five minutes of her presentation on that darn egg.
  21. I don’t think we even disagree that much. I and most others lay the blame squarely on Miami and not onboard management. They can’t redo our suites, and they were probably just as frustrated as the guests with being given these untrained crew members. I can tell management is working hard to improve things, and service is slowly getting better. I definitely feel for the remaining experienced crew members because they had to pick up all the slack. From my own experience and talking to others, mid cruise comments are being addressed immediately. It is the ones sent to Miami that don’t get a response.
  22. Well, we have over 700 days, and most have been very good or we would not have come back so often. But this one is just “off”.
