  1. No, Pacific Rim has black cod, and always had it. Compass Rose used to have sea bass, but now changed to black cod.
  2. Whenever we have used the Regent hotel, they put the luggage on a separate truck and sent it to the port. It was not on the passenger bus, and we didn’t see it until we got to the cabin.
  3. Currently on Splendor, but not in the Med yet. They have Euros, but at the unfavorable exchange rate noted above.
  4. We won’t be able to report on brunch this Sunday as it is now a port day.
  5. We are on the Splendor right now, leaving the Baltic. Pool was open and people swimming in 58 degrees F.
  6. Also, on some nights they have Italian drinks (wine, Aperol, etc) and canapés from 6-11 pm.
  7. You generally do not have to advise them about birthdays because they have the data from your passports. But if you have an anniversary, have your TA notify Regent. We never have a butler, and have always had our cabins decorated with balloons etc.
  8. Frankly, I am not exactly sure what problem you see with these flights. One connection that gets you into Barcelona at a reasonable time. A 2+ hour connection time also sounds doable. I don’t think there are nonstops, so that looks like the best option.
  9. Just flew Finnair BC a couple of days ago. We had 2 appetizers served separately from the main entree. However, we flew from LAX to Stockholm, so a longer flight than from JFK, and that may have been the difference. Overall a very pleasant experience.
  10. Our flight coming up at the end of this week was ticketed exactly 30 days before.
  11. What is ‘it’? Spanish government website, another cruise line? To my knowledge, Regent has never made a distinction based on length of cruise.
  12. Yes, these cabins have been permanently removed from inventory. Being used for entertainers/ lecturers etc.
  13. Dave, thanks for that very helpful information. We have a B2B with two booking numbers coming up in September, and thought we had to use our very large OBC in the first 12 days.
  14. There is a very comfortable bus from Narita that will take you right to the Hilton (and many other Tokyo hotels), cost about $30 per person. You can buy tickets after you leave baggage claim and they will tell you the number of the bus that goes to Hilton. They run frequently and always on time.
  15. We deviated and have a flight coming up on September 1 (with Finnair) and it is not ticketed yet.
  16. Flights are generally not ticketed until 30 days out - that is the limitation in booking cruise air. We have an AA flight booked through Regent and they assigned seats at booking.
  17. No security check if coming from the US as it is considered a safe country.
  18. Security only, assuming you are on one ticket with bags checked through. Immigration/customs will be in Rome.
  19. I don’t know if they deliberately restrict capacities or just have not enough people willing to go on the cruises (due to itinerary changes etc.), but I agree if they do, it is most likely due to staffing issues.
  20. Looks like they will refund your fees: If your plans change and you no longer wish to travel, you can cancel your trip anytime on aa.com. We’ll reinstate your miles and refund eligible taxes and fees up to 1 year after the ticket issue date, but you have to cancel your trip before the first flight departs. If you cancel your trip on aa.com, your miles will be reinstated and your refund will be requested automatically in most cases. There is no fee to reinstate your miles.
  21. The itineraries/brochures will be available on July 6, as well as pre-registration. Actual bookings will not start until July 20, I believe.
  22. I have seen it done on bus tours where people literally walked from one bus to the next, but that was for included excursions. It seems that the type of excursion you signed up for are extra cost excursions, and you are likely to lose your money if you miss the later one. Sounds too risky to me.
