  1. Also procedures change. What a passenger may have experienced on their last cruise, say in 2021 might be quite different in 2023. With specific regards to blue and the dining room menus. There are ships where blue and the main dining room share a kitchen or have adjacent kitchens. Then there are ships were blue and the main dining room are far apart from each other. There are various health laws which prohibit moving food between those kitchens. And you can imagine that if there is a waiter who worked on one of those ships and then moved to a different ship, they may say “no I can’t get you something from the main dining room”. But maybe on that ship they can. And finally, when the ships were sailing at 50% capacity, it was easier to accommodate different requests. Now that the ships are sailing nearly full, not so easy.
  2. The OP said Constellatiin
  3. Actually the sea pass card is not required at the assembly station as long as you have your “set sale” boarding pass so they can scan that barcode. On my last cruise I hadn’t even been to the state room yet to get my card but it was convenient to stop by the mustard station on the way there so that’s what I did and they just asked to see that boarding pass and all was well.
  4. Even easier would be to just go to the assembly station and they will demonstrate how to put on a life jacket and what to do in case of an emergency. The staff can handle a person who has no phone and they are all set up to make the correct arrangements and get her signed off on the safety drill
  5. Same itinerary? Same cost per day? If they are roughly equivalent I would say silhouette because of the forward facing sky lounge which you won’t find on Apex.
  6. Some hand sanitizers do. He was oversimplifying. Look for ones that have benzalkomium chloride. Their labels usually say 99.99 % effective, not 99% effective, which alcohol-based sanitizers are. If you see alcohol as the only active ingredient, that’s not the stuff you want. here’s a good one to look for
  7. I am on Ovation now. A Photographer was taking pictures of people standing in front of a large backdrop of the ship, in one of the lobbies on embarkation day (yesterday). So Royal has not eliminated photographers.
  8. The app is frustrating and unreliable and not worth your time and energy to fight with.
  9. You have to ask yourself if you would be satisfied with the least desirable stateroom in that category, obstructed view, less desirable location, etc. if yes, then it’s a good deal.
  10. This advice is spot on. here’s what happened to me on the last cruise. I signed up on line. On boarding day I went to Guest. services to confirm and the young lady I spoke to said that they hadn’t received the list from shoreside yet and to check back later. I went back two days later and was told “your name isn’t on the list and unfortunately you can only sign up on day one so it’s too late now”!!!! I protested that I had, in fact, been there on day 1 and had been rebuffed. It took discussions with two different supervisors to fix it.
  11. Fewer chemicals used, for one thing
  12. The Guest Services desk will do it but try to find any other option before you are in need of their exchange. You will pay a lot for the convenience.
  13. Perhaps chose a later boarding time and eat in town might be an option. Otherwise it’s the buffet or Mast Grill.
  14. You will get the package you purchased, which as you noted is not being sold any more.
  15. The OP is not sailing on an E class ship so there is no Le Grand Bistro
  16. As it’s a BOA problem, you will need to call BOA. Do you have a customer service number for them? It should be on your statement.
  17. I was told, and this explanation is a little odd to me, that because the non-alcoholic beers are distributed and sold by their alcohol sources, it is classified as alcohol by Celebrity and is not part of the non-alcoholic packages. Also this means that you cannot bring it on board the way you can bring soft drinks and sodas.
  18. Agreed, they probably won’t let them accompany you since their names aren’t on the Retreat list.
  19. It has been an option as recently as January — one check for $200 (US)
  20. It’s very hard to get advice when we don’t know anything about your likes and dislikes and what you need. Do you have any mobility issues ? are you interested in history or art or scenery or shopping or a Beach Day?
  21. I have seen ship time not match local time on the western edge of the Caribbean and in Portugal, but never seen that phenomenon in St. Maarten. Doesn’t mean it will never happen……
