  1. 2 bottles (750 ml size) wine per person at embarkation are allowed.
  2. Exactly! A 30 day turnaround before they would even investigate is the issue. Airlines change schedules but you need to be nimble in order to get the best solution, not pokey and apologetic.
  3. I could believe that some bars are closed, but to claim that they were unable to get paid-for drinks on sea days? Nope. I don’t believe it.
  4. I have been a satisfied user of “flights by celebrity” in the past but on receiving this email today, I am reconsidering some upcoming options
  5. I know at least one cruise line tried it some time ago and it really didn’t work very well. But I am guessing that part of the reason they don’t simply increase wages (and prices) is that then the taxable wage increases.
  6. I just picture passengers going to Aqua spa café for breakfast and handing the server a dollar, then going to lunch at the Mast Grill and giving the guy who flips the burger another dollar, and that night tucking a few bucks under their plate in the MDR. The next day a woman in Oceanview makes them a waffle, so she gets a tip, too and so on throughout the cruise……… What a nightmare😵‍💫😳😵‍💫😳😵‍💫
  7. We have repeatedly heard that when you take off the auto gratuity, it goes as a black mark against your room steward and waiter. Not recommended.
  8. In Fort Lauderdale last week, suite/zenith guests were sent to the retreat lounge when they got to the terminal and they boarded the ship first from there. Wheelchair guests were all parked in the general waiting area and they were boarded after the suite/zenith guests to the extent that staff came off the ship to move them. Other guests were also boarding then in the order they arrived at the terminal. So I would predict that a person in a wheelchair would be among the next on the ship after the Retreat guests assuming that there were enough people available to push all the wheelchair passengers. If you have to wait for someone to come, you’ll board as quickly as they send someone for you. There was no priority for elite or concierge or Aqua or any other group other than the suites/zeniths
  9. Maybe. More likely on a longer cruise.
  10. You could be in for a long wait or they could let you right in. A lot will depend on your fellow passengers. How many of them come on time, how many of them try to go in early? How busy will the terminal be? How smoothly. did the previous cruise’s disembarkation go? Too many variables to tell you what will happen in your case.
  11. Because this gets asked so often I've compiled a list of things to spend OBC on. The only thing I know of now that you CAN'T buy with OBC is a deposit on a Future Cruise. You need a credit card for that. Also, there may be some card game in the casino with a cash only buy-in. If they do a fundraiser, like selling t-shirts to “save the reefs” and the like, expect to need cash for that. Otherwise, here you go: *Acupuncture *Airport transfers *Alcove Rental (some ships) *Apple products etc. and Ilounge classes *Art Auction Purchases *Babysitting *Barber Shop services *Behind the Scenes Tours *Beverages -- Alcoholic, carbonated soft drinks, specialty coffees and teas, bottled water — if not in your package, also beverages above your package limits *Bingo and Deal or No Deal *Bottles of wine *Casino *Chef’s Table *Corkage charged if you bring your own bottles of wine to the MDR *Duty free liquor and cigarettes *Extra cost entrees and other items in Main Dining Room and specialty restaurants *Extend Your Stay program *Fitness classes *Flowers *Gelato *Gift shop souvenirs, purses, watches, cosmetics, clothing, jewelry, etc. *Gratuities, and extra gratuities *Guests dining with you in Luminae (applies to Suite Passengers only) *Guest entertainers' CD's and DVD's *Hair and nail salon *Hollywood hot glass experiences (some ships) *Internet if not in your package, also Internet upcharges *Laundry/pressing/drycleaning *Liquor Tasting events *Luggage Valet *Martini Flights *Medical Center purchases *Mini bar *Portrait photo sessions *Pay-per-view movies *Persian Gardens passes *Personal Training Sessions *Photos & cameras *Room service up charge items, and late night delivery fee *Ryde spinning classes *Shore Excursions *Shuttle to town (some ports) *Spa -- massages and treatments *Specialty restaurants *Teeth Whitening *Telephone calls using ship's system *Transfer to another passenger's account *Voyage in Review DVD *Wine and liquor tastings *Zumba
  12. I wish I could mark them as junk but I need other emails from Celebrity so I don’t dare do that.😵‍
  13. Today I got an email urging me to book a hotel or a cruise in 2025. Hotels are not bookable that far out. Why does Celebrity waste time creating and distributing these useless emails, when they are already shortstaffed in so many departments, like the loyalty division for one? Emails like this do nothing but annoy me. Is that their intention? Surely not. 😵
  14. As one who gets notifications when new post come into this thread, I hope the “thread drift” can go float away to other, more targeted threads. to answer the question from post #6230, I made two flights by celebrity bookings during the offer period. I received the power up points from one of them and have submitted documentation showing that I made two different bookings but I am still waiting for power of points for the second one. Of course I don’t know which one the points were granted for. It’s been about six weeks now and still waiting for results. I have communicated with Captains Club several times about this and they tell me that the request has been submitted to the royalty desk, which is severely understaffed.

  16. I think you may have misunderstood something or there is an error somewhere. If you book Aqua class you are not assigned a table in the main dining room. If you received an assignment like this it was definitely a mistake. Aqua class passengers are assigned to BLU for their evening meal. If you saw some reference to a time, that is an artifact of the Celebrity IT system and it should be ignored because blue is always open seating with no reservations needed or taken.
  17. My experience is from a few years ago. I had a special bottle of alcohol I was bringing on a transatlantic to Europe to give to a friend there, something that wasn’t easy to find in his country. I wrapped it carefully in bubble wrap, made a label with my name and stateroom number on it, and when I got to the terminal I found an officer and explained what I wanted to do and put it in his care. He took care of it for me and I received it at my state room on the last night of the cruise.
  18. You might need to provide proof. An old invoice, a sea pass card, even a welcome aboard photo of you as you entered the ship as long as it has the ship name and date on it
  19. Spa discounts hair salon discounts specialty dining discounts no room service fee laundry wi-fi upgraded toiletries MDR concierge lunch on embarkation day premiun beverage package
