  1. As one who gets notifications when new post come into this thread, I hope the “thread drift” can go float away to other, more targeted threads. to answer the question from post #6230, I made two flights by celebrity bookings during the offer period. I received the power up points from one of them and have submitted documentation showing that I made two different bookings but I am still waiting for power of points for the second one. Of course I don’t know which one the points were granted for. It’s been about six weeks now and still waiting for results. I have communicated with Captains Club several times about this and they tell me that the request has been submitted to the royalty desk, which is severely understaffed.
  2. Because this gets asked so often I've compiled a list of things to spend OBC on. The only thing I know of now that you CAN'T buy with OBC is a deposit on a Future Cruise. You need a credit card for that. Also, there may be some card game in the casino with a cash only buy-in. If they do a fundraiser, like selling t-shirts to “save the reefs” and the like, expect to need cash for that. Otherwise, here you go: *Acupuncture *Airport transfers *Alcove Rental (some ships) *Apple products etc. and Ilounge classes *Art Auction Purchases *Babysitting *Barber Shop services *Behind the Scenes Tours *Beverages -- Alcoholic, carbonated soft drinks, specialty coffees and teas, bottled water — if not in your package, also beverages above your package limits *Bingo and Deal or No Deal *Bottles of wine *Casino *Chef’s Table *Corkage charged if you bring your own bottles of wine to the MDR *Duty free liquor and cigarettes *Extra cost entrees and other items in Main Dining Room and specialty restaurants *Extend Your Stay program *Fitness classes *Flowers *Gelato *Gift shop souvenirs, purses, watches, cosmetics, clothing, jewelry, etc. *Gratuities, and extra gratuities *Guests dining with you in Luminae (applies to Suite Passengers only) *Guest entertainers' CD's and DVD's *Hair and nail salon *Hollywood hot glass experiences (some ships) *Internet if not in your package, also Internet upcharges *Laundry/pressing/drycleaning *Liquor Tasting events *Luggage Valet *Martini Flights *Medical Center purchases *Mini bar *Portrait photo sessions *Pay-per-view movies *Persian Gardens passes *Personal Training Sessions *Photos & cameras *Room service up charge items, and late night delivery fee *Ryde spinning classes *Shore Excursions *Shuttle to town (some ports) *Spa -- massages and treatments *Specialty restaurants *Teeth Whitening *Telephone calls using ship's system *Transfer to another passenger's account *Voyage in Review DVD *Wine and liquor tastings *Zumba
  3. I think you may have misunderstood something or there is an error somewhere. If you book Aqua class you are not assigned a table in the main dining room. If you received an assignment like this it was definitely a mistake. Aqua class passengers are assigned to BLU for their evening meal. If you saw some reference to a time, that is an artifact of the Celebrity IT system and it should be ignored because blue is always open seating with no reservations needed or taken.
  4. My experience is from a few years ago. I had a special bottle of alcohol I was bringing on a transatlantic to Europe to give to a friend there, something that wasn’t easy to find in his country. I wrapped it carefully in bubble wrap, made a label with my name and stateroom number on it, and when I got to the terminal I found an officer and explained what I wanted to do and put it in his care. He took care of it for me and I received it at my state room on the last night of the cruise.
  5. You might need to provide proof. An old invoice, a sea pass card, even a welcome aboard photo of you as you entered the ship as long as it has the ship name and date on it
  6. Spa discounts hair salon discounts specialty dining discounts no room service fee laundry wi-fi upgraded toiletries MDR concierge lunch on embarkation day premiun beverage package
  7. I agree, but I couldn’t figure out if it would be necessary for the ship to relocate. What I wish I could find is a short excursions that went from Athinios and returned to same, rather than ending in Fira. I had such a bad experience with that cable car that I am trying to avoid it if it is at all possible, can’t walk down the hill, and won’t ride a donkey. Appreciate the help learning about the tender situation there.
  8. Ok, that helps! They must be close enough to each place not to have to move. Thanks
  9. Probably pretty similar to this from Fort Lauderdale
  10. That in the morning, they are in two at Athinios to start tours from there. There are tours listed that start at 7:30 and eight and nine a.m. But at some time the ship moves to the Fira Old Port area, from what I can gather, since all the tours that began at Athinios end in the town of Fira. When does the ship make that move, typically? If I were to look for a boat tour that starts from the old Port area, when would that start, if you can recall. thanks
  11. I have not heard of this being on celebrity
  12. Same country, different pet, different procedures. In October 2022 in Boston, we did not leave the ship, and the immigration officer came on board to clear us. In January 2023, in Fort Lauderdale, we did have to leave this ***** to clear immigration.
  13. So to be specific. I am looking for any option that does not end in Fira at the top, necessitating either cable car or donkey or walk. That’s what we want to avoid So it looks like I’m trying to find some thing that goes in and out of Athinios OR in and out of the port of Fira, OR ???? I have looked at all of the options that Celebrity offers for my cruise. Only one says it ends in Athinios but the details also say that the price includes a cable car tickets so that doesn’t make sense. hoping to find a private tour that will not require the cable car, donkey or walk down that hill.
  14. Maybe start a new thread b/c others might be interested in MSC reciprocity and this thread is (mostly) about Power Up Points
  15. It depends on where you are. Different rules for different countries and ports. If you tell us where you are sailing, we can give you more specific information.
  16. FWIW, area code 316 is Wichita That is not the location of the corporate/executive offices. It is the location of one of the Celebrity call centers and many of the Captain’s Club concierges & Retreat Concierges are in that location.
  17. There’s no way to do an excursion in Santorini without using the cable car, is there? Don’t want to do cable car or donkeys, but there’s no way of avoiding them, is there?
  18. Spa cafe MIGHT be open….sometimes it is, sometimes not
  19. I just checked my iPad and it is looking fine, no format errors. Thanks, Cruise Critic admins for fixing the display.
  20. Solve the issue by buying Robitussin cough capsules to take with you

  22. Afternoon tea at the buffet is no more. I really don’t see why they don’t put a few savory sandwiches out in the afternoon at Caffe al Bacio like they once did. Perhaps if enough of us suggest it, they will
