  1. Welcome home Robin @Live4cruises! Bruce @aliaschief, congrats on your negative tests and enjoy your cruise! I’m looking forward to seeing your pictures. Bon Voyage! Rich @richwmn, Happiest of Birthdays to you today, our fearless leader. Carol @mamaofami, I’m so sorry about your double loss. What a sad story about your DDIL. Gerry! Oh no!! Hopefully your DH’s case will be mild and that it hasn’t spread to you. Joy @Seasick Sailor, what a great picture of you, Allen and your sister!
  2. I just read @Rowsby’s post about Little Shadow. OMG! Jacqui @kazu must be devastated and overwhelmed. She does not deserve this. Jacqui, please know that you are in our hearts ♥️
  3. Thanks to Sandi @StLouisCruisers, Lenda @Quartzsite Cruiser, and Vanessa @JazzyV for helping me out with an easier way to search for previous port of the day pictures!! This will help me so much because a lot of our pictures are on our old hard drive. So…. Back to yesterday’s port—Sydney, NS. And to my fellow Dailyite friends on the October cruise, no, I will not be wearing my “jacket of many colors “! My previous post from March 24, 2021: Craig found our Sydney, NS August 2009 Eurodam pictures on our old hard drive for me. This is Cossit House: We have a lot of pictures of the inside but I'll post just one, kitchens always fascinate me: This is Jost House, which was much smaller than Cossit House: One of the inside: The church, we must not have gone inside: Me with the Eurodam as background, you can even make out the fiddle. It must have been a breezy day with my hair flying all around. BTW, this is another jacket Craig asked me to never wear again, said it looked like carpet. I liked it because of all the colors, it went with anything. Craig and I have a "thing" we do upon arriving back at the ship in each port, I go ahead to our cabin and get out on the balcony and wave while he takes pictures. It's always fun to see where our cabin is: You can hardly see me now: That was a formal "dress up" night for us, now called Gala Night. We were in the Ocean Bar: I believe this is the last time Craig ever wore a tux on a cruise.
  4. Sandi, thank you so much! I like the tip to search under Rich’s screen name and to open it in a separate tab. I’ll let you know how I get along.
  5. Thank you both so much! Hopefully Sandi will see this and tell us how she searches.
  6. Good evening! We both checked our weather forecast for tonight and rain wasn’t expected until 1:00am so Craig got in the pool. About 5:45 what do I hear? Thunder! Knowing that he wears his iPods, I rushed out to tell him but the sky looked fine. Thinking maybe I heard our neighbor move his trash bin, I waited a minute and it happened again, so out of the pool Mr Craig! Tucson is in a valley with 4 mountain ranges surrounding so sometimes the lightening and thunder happens quickly. Thank you for your explanation Sandi! You have a great system. So, second question, if the port was on a previous Daily do you search CC for that date and just cut and paste? If so, how do you search on CC for that particular date? I just emailed you.
  7. Good afternoon everyone! Craig & I went out to lunch after my hair appointment at Craig’s favorite brunch place and then I went to pick up my 4th round of reordered glasses, which took forever because they still weren’t correct. They were able to fix most of the issues, but I’ll have to wear them a while to know for sure. It sucks having such a strong prescription and thick lenses. Hi Rich! Has your email changed? I emailed you last week about the contact onboard, it came back undeliverable, and I wondered if you had another one. This is for the Dailyite get together on the first evening. We are using our HIA specialty dining for the Pinnacle Grill dinner but we have changed cabins if that matters. I emailed you the new cabin number. Also, are you aware that @AncientWanderer Maxine & her DH have canceled? Sandi @StLouisCruisers — I’ve tried to figure out an easy way to search for the port of the day when you post the date it was on previously without success. How do you do it so quickly? Have a great day everyone!
  8. I agree that they are probably the first sea day and probably Kotor. In June we actually missed Kotor due to wind and iirc it was Gala that evening. I’m not near my daily programs to double check though.
  9. Well I guess I fit into lazy day since I’m behind today, but I did get my laundry done and enjoyed some pool time and we had excellent grilled lamb chops. Costco has excellent thick lamb chops. I hope everyone had a great day. I still need to read the Daily but do thank everyone for sharing. I probably will be late tomorrow due to my regular hair appointment. See you all later!
  10. We were on the Oosterdam in June and the Neptune Lounge was doing this also. And it was during lunchtime too, not just cocktail hour. Not a huge selection of wines and beer but IIRC a red, two whites, and sparkling. I didn’t check out the beer selection. Even though we had the beverage package, it was nice having it so close by.
  11. Good morning everyone! Thank you for today’s Daily Rich and thanks to all for sharing. We’ve had an active monsoon season so far. Last night we had a huge storm and my weather app says we got 1.85”. The water in the pool is at the top of the tile. Rain is forecasted for the next 10 days. I don’t read much except for magazines and cookbooks. I just purchased two of Joanna Gaines cookbooks. Craig is always reading and carries a book everywhere. @Heartgrove So sorry about Sam. I’m sure you will do everything possible to better his life and pain. Have a great day everyone!
  12. Have to share the best picture of a cat that I have. In Corfu, such a beautiful cat. I love the tile too.
  13. Good morning! Thank you for the Daily Rich and thanks to all for sharing. We have been grilling a lot and I love grilling zucchini. In fact, it’s on today’s menu along with grilled eggplant, mini peppers, onions and yogurt marinated chicken. I usually blitz up the leftover veggies and make a dip. We have dental appointments today so I need to get busy. See you all later. Have a great day!
  14. Two different Lasagne on the Rotterdam in Club Orange early January 2022. I liked it so much that I ordered it 3 times. And, yes, it’s made with a béchamel sauce, which I feel is better than lasagna with ricotta. The burger in the Pinnacle Grill is much better than the MDR, however, it’s still really good. Below is the MDR burger.
  15. Happy Anniversary!! ❤️🍾🥂 Thank you all for your Birthday wishes! Roy @rafinmd — I noticed your new picture right away! Looking spiffy! @Tbay Happy Birthday!
  16. It’s on the Nieuw Statendam in April sailing from Ft Lauderdale to Rome. We booked it while on board and the consultant suggested adding on the following 7 day cruise, which sounded really nice and included all the ports Craig missed. Not sure if we will go but we have until January to decide.
  17. Good evening! Thanks to everyone for sharing today and to Rich @richwmn for the Daily. Today is our favorite Granddaughter’s Birthday (well, yes, she’s also our only granddaughter). She’s grown up so much. Tomorrow we are going out for family dinner to celebrate. It’ll be fun. Hugs to you Jacqui @kazu. ❤️❤️❤️ So sorry about your fridge, what a mess. Little Shadow has come a long way. Sandi @StLouisCruisers — safe travels tomorrow. Also, for some odd reason, I couldn’t like your first post, I kept getting an error message. I was able to like others, just not that one. Weird. I watched Seth on FB this morning previewing his Sail with Seth cruises. It’s long so I’m not suggesting everyone watch it but it’s interesting that he will be on different cruise lines and even HAL. He even has a Cunard and a Carnival. What a spectrum. I would love to do one but it’ll have to wait a while since we have other cruise plans for now. Have a great evening!
  18. Thanks Maxine! I think I’d prefer a spring crossing also. Chasing Springtime sounds like a wonderful way to explain it, I love your description! Wish we could tag along on your Zuiderdam cruise but Craig has informed me that he only wants to sail on Pinnacle Class ships from now on. He’s in love with Club Orange. Personally, I think he just will always equate the Oosterdam with being in quarantine. Poor thing. 😉
  19. We woke up this morning to rain and more rain with thunder mixed in. It’s weird to wake up to a storm system, it’s usually in the afternoon or early evening. The sun is shining now so we will probably have a nice afternoon. This video came up on my FB memories and it cracked me up how much Summer was talking in the background. It was five years ago. She sounds so little, I can’t believe that she will be 15 tomorrow. IMG_0477.MOV Right now Craig is making crepes and will make the filling tomorrow. It’s nice having him cook more. He didn’t like my crepe filling the last time I made them because they had ricotta. He hates ricotta (among other things). Thank you, Lenda @Quartzsite Cruiser for input on the transatlantic. I’m sure either way would be nice to avoid jet lag. The April cruise would be nice because it’s going to the ports Craig missed on our last cruise because of covid. Have a great day everyone!
  20. Good morning! Thank you for today’s Fleet and Daily Rich. Thanks to everyone for sharing. I haven’t read the entire Daily yet but wanted to ask this question before it got too late. Yesterday’s port of call had me thinking about transatlantic cruises. It’s on my cruise list and we even have one scheduled for April next year. For all of you who have done a transatlantic, which direction is your preference and why?
