  1. You should try a Quantum class sometime, CK is much better than the Oasis class ships. CK is a standalone restaurant, so a much more intimate venue without the craziness of the SL attached to it. We have found the food to be better too.
  2. I was responding to your first post, not the edited post that changed as I was quoting or the third iteration of your post. Game is over now. Vikings won.
  3. Meals are not included unless specifically listed, like a box lunch was included on our Tundra Wilderness Tour while in Denali and even that was packaged snacks. Tipping of the tour guide and bus driver was not told to us in advanced but we received something on our tour that told us what the standard tip was for each. We handed each an envelope as we got off the bus to board the ship. I don't remember what the amounts were though, was 2018, so I am sure they have increased. I found this website helpful as it detailed the cruise tour and also gave me a list of what the additional excursions are that can be purchased from the tour guide when you meet them. Probably a good idea to review with your group if you are trying to all do stuff together. I know some of them didn't even take 18 people though. We did the ATV's and the river float in Denali. Loved both of them. We did a side by side ATV that was a two seater, like a dune buggy. The river float ended up being class 2 and 3 rapids since the river was running high from the snow runoff. Still was awesome but a little more adventurous than expected. We did the Salmon Bake in Fairbanks. I would do the Salmon Bake with the Revue if I did it again as there was nothing else to do that night otherwise. Here is the website I mentioned, look under resources then excursions for the additional excursions you can purchase. https://www.royalcaribbeancruisetours.com/
  4. To add to what has been said, if you status matched to Diamond, you also will get four drink vouchers per day that are automatically on your sea pass card. These can be used for any drink on the ship except at the Bionic Bar and Starbucks, up to $14/drink. Not sure if Allure has either of those venues though, but good to know for other ships. Your drinks in the suite lounge do not count against the vouchers but drinks in the diamond lounge do count against the vouchers.
  5. What ship are you sailing? Sky class is a little different between Oasis class ships and Quantum class ships because of the location of the suite lounge.
  6. What terminal did you sail from? There is a suites/pinnacle entrance but have never seen any status lines outside any terminal, at any port we have sailed from. At terminal 1 in Port Canaveral, you go upstairs and there is a suites/pinnacle area and then other chair areas. I have seen them go section to section, letting people enter, I have never seen them call boarding times and check at the door. That seems very inefficient.
  7. I was confused too but the avatars are similar and I went with what @Coralc was saying. I looked at both accounts as I thought he was from Canada but the Lucas account says he is living in Florida. I just hope he is okay and was just having a "day" like we all do at times. 🙂
  8. Thanks for sharing your review of the Oasis. Just a couple of comments. Ice and snow do not piled up under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge in the winter, the port of New York is open all winter to ships. Oasis does not sail from Bayonne in the winter because of the cold weather. Oasis is built to sail in warmer temperatures with lots of outside activities. Plus, all the plants in Central Park would die with the cold temperatures and snow and ice. Oasis also clears the bridge by more than 6 inches! I know it changes based on the tides but it is more like 6 to 8 feet. They retract the funnels on Oasis and then they put them up after clearing the bridge.
  9. I will give you the cliff notes version. Dani tagged Lucas because she was checking in on people. A screen name that doesn't post here responded and it looks like Lucas has two accounts. There are a whole bunch of posts from that account that are not what we usually see Lucas post and it looks like he was having a tough night, so there was concern that his Mom might have passed away.
  10. There is a poster whose screen name is Coral that he is likely referring to. She posts a lot in the Alaska forum and is very Princess loyal and very anti Royal Caribbean in Alaska.
  11. I do the banana trick with my avocados, so was going to add a banana until I went through the bags today. I weeded out all the ripe stuff and all the mushy stuff and also replaced the bags since they felt damp. I ended up with a decent bowl full of ripe stuff, so don't want to accelerate the others just yet. I think my Mom has a Foodsaver, I will check that out when I go to NH next week to see her. I read that I should keep the bags at room temperature, so that is what we have been doing. I didn't get to ask my neighbor any questions as they were literally running down my driveway to try to catch a bus to the airport.
  12. One of our Alaska cruises was on Radiance in a corner aft junior suite (1100). Cabin has a very large balcony that was great for glacier viewing. Cabin has a sofabed for two, though it is kind of snug. There is also a large walk-in closet and bathroom with a tub. Was plenty of room for two and wouldn't be bad for 4.
  13. My neighbors have a large raised bed garden and also picked everything before the first freeze. They had been ripening things in paper bags and have frozen a bunch of tomatoes. They left Wednesday night for a month long trip out of the country and gave us all the tomatoes before they left. There is no way we will eat all of what they gave us, so I am going to try making sauce with them. They also left 10 pounds of red onions. Thinking we might make salsa too.
  14. If you look at the deck plans, the cabins that are connected with an internal door have a double-sided arrow between them. 10544 and 10546 are a connecting pair with 10546 having a sofabed that sleeps two. The sofabed can be setup at two different levels as part of it is like a trundle that gets pulled out.
  15. We have seen kids many times because it is a less chaotic place for parents to take kids. Some DL are much better at having some kind of food present all day long, whether it is continental breakfast in the morning, cookies and small sandwiches at lunch, and hot/cold appetizers at happy hour along with some small desserts.
  16. No, they do not allow you to bring someone onboard as a visitor. There are some exceptions, like guests of an onboard wedding who aren't actually sailing, travel agents doing a ship visit, and likely a few others.
  17. I am not arguing at all, I have provided actual facts from actual cruises that we have taken. I am not posting blocks of text that is grabbed from who knows where. Many have tried to explain things to you and you don't want to see it. Carry on... Maybe someone else can get you to understand.
  18. Not playing word games with you tonight as you will not see what many are telling you. Not even reading what you posted as you manipulated my post and I am not going back to see what is actually my words and what are yours.
  19. Nice dodge. I still stand by my statement, you need to read the policy as you are confusing yourself. As far as your latest "challenge" for someone to find you a different policy than some policy you posted who knows where, the website is outdated and the letters left in cabins listing benefits are what passengers are receiving.
  20. If one spouse cruises more than another, both spouses get the status of the spouse with the higher points total no matter what level. It is not unique to Pinnacle.
  21. It is not unique to Pinnacle. You should go back and read some of the links that you post.
