  1. No omelets at Johnny Rockets anymore, they now have scrambles.
  2. The cranberry bread just came out of the oven, so letting it cool a little bit. We will see if all of it makes it til dinnertime though lol. We are headed to my sister's tomorrow. I am bringing the apple pie, squash, cheese & fruit platter for appetizer, two dozen pecan rolls that I have to make in the morning and some of the cranberry breads for everyone to bring home. At least I don't have to go to NH to get my Mom. One of my brother's is visiting from Texas with his daughter, so they are bringing my Mom down to my sister's house. My Mom actually made a mince pie to bring. Granted it is dump a jar into a premade pie crust, but she was able to do it! I hope you guys have a great Thanksgiving! 🦃🙂
  3. On our cruise last month, they asked passengers to be out of their cabins by 8am. The last numbers were supposed to be called at 9am. Our number was called just after 7am and we left our cabin around 7:15am. We grabbed our luggage in the debarkation area and got a porter. He told us to follow him (he took down one of the ropes lol) and bypassed the crowded area. We did facial recognition, got our green light and off to the parking lot we went. Porter went all the way to the lot with us and loaded the car. Well worth the tip! We were on the road before 7:45. I know you are a new cruiser and are just trying to figure things out. I am sure you can now see that the last morning is just grab something to eat and hit the road. Make sure you check your onboard account on the app throughout the week so you don't find any surprises on the last morning. If you do see charges that are wrong, take care of them when you find them as the last morning at guest services is crazy! You don't want to get stuck in that line. The photo area is closed debarkation morning, so make sure you have purchased and picked up all your pictures the night before at the latest. Make sure you leave clothes to sleep in the last night and clothes and shoes to get home before you put your luggage out the night before. Just tell your late risers that they can sleep in the car home! 🙂
  4. The additional excursions you can book are on a space available basis, so I was happy we were able to read up on them before and could just check the boxes and hand in our paper first to the tour guide. Our river float was supposed to be a very calm float down the river but we went in May and the river was running high because of snow melt. We ended up in class 2 and 3 rapids! The people who went on the white water rafting excursion ended up in class 3 and 4 rapids. It was a blast but I am glad we chose the float. The ATV excursion we did was on a side by side. I am too old to ride a regular ATV. My DH let me drive the whole time, that was really fun too. https://www.royalcaribbeancruisetours.com/content/uploads/2016/06/22003043_Alaska_CruiseTours_Land_Excursions_Brochure_HR_compressed.pdf
  5. When you book your cruise, you choose the land tour you want to take. We booked a southbound Radiance sailing with a 4B cruisetour. The tour comes with some included tours but there are also additional excursions that you can book for additional cost once you meet your tour guide the first day of the land tour. Those excursions are listed under the resources tab of the link above. You can see a list of the cruisetours that an excursion can be added to directly under the excursion description. Meals are not included in the cruisetour unless it is specifically listed. You are given enough time to get a meal while at a stop while touring by bus or you are given an opportunity to dine on the train rides. The cruisetour has really long days. Luggage pickup at the hotel when touring is usually at 6am or 6:30am. You tour all day and get to your next stop near dinner time. We then did additional excursions at night since it is still light out. We did an ATV excursion one night in Denali and a river float the next night. We didn't get back to the hotel until almost 10pm. One thing that worked well for us was we packed on large suitcase with everything for the cruise and that never came off the bus. It had a different tag on it marked for the ship. We had another suitcase that had everything we needed for our cruisetour. We had a good backpack that was our daypack for while we were on the bus as all luggage was under the bus during the day. We had waterproof jackets in a compression bag in our daypack at all times, bug spray, snacks, water, camera and binoculars.
  6. Yes, you can bring on both soda and wine. Here is a link to the policy. They are particular about size of bottles. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/food-drink-onboard-policy
  7. LOL Okay, good luck checking in upstairs.
  8. You check in at street level at Cape Liberty and sit in chairs at the same level until it is time to board.
  9. You should check the insurance policy to see if the family emergency is covered. Depending on the insurance you purchased, some have cancel for any reason coverage that would get your friend a future cruise credit for their portion of the cruise fare. Another option would be to find someone else to take your friend's place. That person could pay your friend.
  10. Our departure letter for our recent Oasis sailing shows Park Cafe was only open until 8:15am. Cafe Promenade, which is also on Voyager which is the ship the OP is sailing, was open until 8:30.
  11. Most venues are either closed that morning or only open limited hours. Looking at our departure letter from our recent cruise, all breakfast locations closed at either 8am or 8:30am, with Starbucks being the last thing open until 9am. You would be able to sit someplace on the Royal Promenade or up on the pool deck but you will end up being encouraged to leave the ship. I have never actually seen anyone in a pool the last morning, but we are only up on the pool deck really, really early to see the ship come into port.
  12. What ship? Your late starters are going to need to get their act together because by 10 o'clock, they will be calling the stragglers names over the PA as they try to get to zero passenger count.
  13. SL/CL is all the way aft on deck 12. Sign had not changed the last time we sailed Anthem. No 11-11 drinks, just drinks during happy hour. It is a beautiful lounge though that spans the aft of the ship. We grab a glass of wine as we are leaving and take that with us to Coastal Kitchen, which is on deck 14 right outside the WJ. We prefer this setup as CK is quieter than those on Oasis class ships and has a more intimate atmosphere to it. Reservations for dinner have always been no issue, whether we were sailing Sea or Sky class. Sea class doesn't get shutout like it can on Oasis class.
  14. Diet Coke was available in at least one of the two machines outside Sorrentos and diet root beer seemed to be available too, which made my DH happy. We have been getting refreshment packages since they started offering them and have never encountered machines this empty in the past. Hopefully, it was just a supply chain issue that has corrected itself now that the ship is sailing from Florida.
  15. Oasis has the majority of what was included in that link, but not all. Just hope that they actually have what they typically have listed because the machines were very empty the majority of our cruise in October. The machine by El Loco Fresh had only powerade most of the time, all other drinks were greyed out.
  16. I am Loyal to my family and pocketbook. I would have no issues trying something new and saving a lot of money.
  17. If one person in a cabin tests positive, they will be required to quarantine. Whether it is in their own cabin or a different cabin depends on the ship and availability of other cabins. Positive passengers were being moved to oceanview cabins in an area reserved for those with covid but with ships sailing at full capacity, they might let you stay in your cabin. I know when I tested positive earlier this year, I stayed in our suite and they moved my DH to a balcony cabin but that was a almost six months ago and protocols are pretty fluid. Australian sailings also have different protocols, like masking, so hard to know what will actually happen if someone was positive. This is what the cruise line's website currently says. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/sick-onboard-health-services
