  1. John, you’ve got to try the roasted chicken. Moist, flavorful and I don’t know what kind of crack they sprinkle on it but I could eat until I explode! It is just delicious.
  2. But regular restaurants aren’t serving thousands of people per meal. Your dinner isn’t prepared when you order it. Much is done in advance including I would think plating the sides with the main component added as plates are picked up. So that baked potato you don’t want is already on the plate and removing it becomes an extra step. As for unwanted ingredients, I think we have to wait for reports. Personally I am hoping I can still order a larger portion or more than one serving of an appetizer as my entree with a couple of sides thrown in. But not holding out a lot of hope for the same reason described above.
  3. Better view until the sun sets right in your eyes. Poor staff, lower the shades so we aren’t blinded, raise them because they block someone else’s view. Up down up down up down.
  4. I think it was meant as a joke. Or perhaps a commentary on a post that is negative negative negative though, when prompted, OP had many positive experiences. Personally I give more credence to posts that show the good and the bad.
  5. We are in JSs on Harmony in May. I will probably try to get reservations for short rib night cuz hubby loves them & they aren’t served in the MDR anymore but that would be the only night.
  6. We found it not appreciably better than MDR. And our waiter was kinda snooty. Much friendlier staff in MDR.
  7. I agree with you when it is a component of the dish such as a sauce but the post you are quoting was in response to an unwanted side dish to save room for dessert. In THAT case, I think just moving it to the side is easier than requesting they remove it from already plated meals.
  8. I was never successful getting either Coastal Kitchen OR the suites concierge on the phone. Finally gave up & walked up there with my requests.
  9. Ok so one person’s experience. No more or less valid than any other. I don’t personally agree with it. I’ve always found something delicious in WJ, maybe not everything but something. I do try not to go during prime dining hours so I can always find a table. Solarium on Explorer was very popular (also small) so I was up there by 8 with my coffee and a book. Harmony on the other hand was relatively easy to find a couple chairs together even later in the day. YMMV
  10. I don’t. We have the same time scheduled every night (in these cases it was 6:45). I book MTD because 5:30 is too early and 8:00 is too late.
  11. And I have done that with MTD both of my cruises last year. We walk up to the second podium bypassing the line and the hostess smiles & waved us through. Same table/staff every night. Maybe the Royal dining gods just like me?🤷‍♀️
  12. Nope, not how it works. If you are just selecting arrival times, it’s pretty quick.
  13. Oh thank God! That muscle man was creepy!!!
  14. I’m on a cruise in May and the new menus are in my app already. Have you looked at yours?
  15. Yes, it has to be done individually but one person can do it all. I can report with total confidence that one person can get arrival times for everyone in linked reservations AND ON THE APP ONLY, no other information need be entered. You can click right on arrival time and do the rest at another time or everyone can enter their own information later.
  16. Presidents Day is the 20th this year so a week after the SB. Somebody needs to fix that!!
  17. Thanks, that one is sold out in our cruise planner. Appreciate the help though.
  18. Brother nephew & son wanna go fishing. Cozumel, Costa Maya, Roatan. Any recommendations?
  19. Yeah Canadian lobsters are just Maine lobsters that migrated 😄😄
  20. Yes but they took away one preseason game to compensate for it. Not sure why it keeps getting later & later. My husband listens to ME when I talk about football…. Or baseball…. Or basketball (NCAA or NBA) Or hockey I’m a way bigger fan than him!
  21. Waiting for reports from current cruisers. Certainly a Maine lobster tail should be larger than its warm water poor relations.
  22. Don’t know why. It’s a bar like any other on board. Fewer patrons & IMO better service.
  23. $16.99. Serving cold water Maine lobster tails now.
