  1. We emailed our info this morning for our next 4 cruises (3 in '23 and 1 in early '24) and got email approval this afternoon. We also folded out unnecessary info and blacked out account without any issue.
  2. Room stewards are also now in charge of the cabin minibars.
  3. I'm much happier having the cabins available as soon as boarding is allowed which probably isn't possible if room service is available on disembarkation day!
  4. We saw it take about a week after but today it's all reset to 0- another IT issue?
  5. Have you ever been able to get an upgraded cabin if its current price is LESS than you paid for your lower level cabin? Is it worth contacting our NCL cruise consultant to ask?
  6. We have always had to disconnect our VPN when on HAL but maybe that will change with the StarLink updates when available.
  7. The prices have gone up- the pre board premium cost for 31 days is now $352.99
  8. We have sailed almost 300 days on HAL since 2018 and have never eaten in the MDR- unless we use Club Orange or the specialty restaurants we eat dinners in the Lido and always are satisfied. The quality is definitely better than NCL as well as the variety.
  9. We have upgraded to aft balconies and aft Neptune suites in the past which are definitely desirable cabins!
  10. We always do dummy bookings to see exactly which cabins are open and keep the website open when calling. We used AARP gift cards to pay for the majority of our cruise (saving 10%) and when we got the upsell offer it ended up only costing a few hundred dollars more than it would have been for the original cabin- this was for a 28 day cruise verandah to signature suite. Well worth it!
  11. We always ask for cold water wash and low heat dry on each list and haven't had problems other than sometimes trying to get the iron-on tabs off without ripping out seams on lightweight shirts!
  12. Cost is $25pp/day on 7 day cruises and $15pp/day for longer cruises. The menu is the same as MDR with one extra dinner entree. There is a separate dining room located near the MDR- all indoor seating. One of the best benefits is the cabin upgrade within the same category if availability exists. There is a limit on CO members since all Neptune suites automatically are able to eat there.
  13. Before the cruise, use the gift cards to buy OBC online at your reservation. If you don't spend it all, you will be refunded any leftover on the credit card on file.
  14. The CO upgrade benefit is optimal in the verandah category because of the many price differences- not so much in other category cabins.
  15. We have been told to just buy a $100 FCD each and then if we book a longer cruise they will just charge the additional cost (max $200 each if not world cruise) at the time of booking. Each person needs a FCD.
  16. On the fall TA on the Oosterdam there was piped in ballroom dance music in the Rolling Stone Lounge from 5-6pm I believe. Would see a few couples in there when walking by.
  17. Enter the amount of the gift card and then under the orange bar that tells you the session will expire in 15 minutes it says pay with gift card- check the box and then enter the number and Pin. I enter each card separately because one time the session ended and I lost a card- thank goodness it was only a $25 card. Can you use a VPN in the US? this might not be working since you are in Canada.
  18. We have been on the NS several times including the maiden voyage. There are many things to enjoy but we always book cruises on the ITINERARY. Are you hoping to enjoy the fresh air and nature of Norway? If you're expecting the evening production shows of RCI, you will be disappointed. Only you can decide if this is the cruise for you. A 7 day cruise is also not the best determining factor- stay on for the 14 day British Isles extension and get a true European experience!
  19. Check on your itinerary and see if they appear on Day One
  20. We've been on 6 HAL cruises since the restart and every one had an Orange party.
  21. Just got another one today- got off the Oosterdam in November and this makes the fourth one we've received. We did already use the original one.
  22. We email a statement every July (after the shareholder credit is approved for another year) and list all our cruises for the next 12 months to get it all done in one shot. We keep the email as well for proof.
