Yes, and have done so . Always pre pay gratuities. On Med port intensive cruises we're off ship most days , all day. On board happy with included free drinks, iced water, tea etc We'll have a couple of drinks during Elite happy hour and pay as we go if we have a drink later in the evening. Our UK based WiFi works in most European countries, so we'll just check text etc in port.

But what Royal Caribbean giveth, so Royal Caribbean can take away. Why try to bend/break the rules ?

I retired at 65 during the pandemic, so that has put paid to long haul international travelling until very recently. Also a dog and now much loved grandchildren have come along, so all our long held plans for extensive travelling when retired have gone out of the window

Just retread your post and you say the low numbers are because of low staffing, presumably they are ramping up the staff over the next few weeks.
