  1. There is no lounge to return. Celebrity has never had a dedicated Captains Club lounge. Mods, can you just shut this down?
  2. Have a wonderful trip! Looking forward to hearing all about it and seeing your pictures.
  3. To those of you who have had butlers who don't seem to want to do their jobs: the person to complain to is NOT the Retreat Concierge(s). Those folks are on the same level as the butlers. The person to have a discussion with is the Retreat Manager.
  4. I've stayed in the PH on Summit and experienced no problems with vibration. Also other cabins in the vicinity. No problems.
  5. I had the worst boarding experience of my life in Vancouver. Stood in line for four hours. You had better hope that there is only one ship in port the day you leave and that US Customs is functioning well.
  6. There is a boatload of misinformation on FB. Never have I seen so much drivel posted.
  7. Book a rear-facing slant, either port or starboard. The first and third balconies on the slant have the largest balconies.
  8. I believe the website shows some sort of limit on laundry and dry cleaning. They had to put that in there because people were abusing the unlimited laundry and sending all their friends' laundry. As long as you're only sending out your own laundry and dry cleaning, you will not have a problem getting unlimited laundry.
  9. In a royal suite, you are not limited to your Elite status bags of laundry. You may send out laundry and dry cleaning as often as you wish. It has nothing to do with your Elite status. It has to do with your being in a royal suite. That's a benefit of the suite. Get your butler and cabin attendant to bring you several laundry bags and laundry slips. Then you don't have to risk sending darks out with lights, etc. Just write royal suite on the slip. Your laundry will come back pressed and on hangers.
  10. Call the Captains' Club. Did your wife leave the funds she had paid on the account? If so, you should get sailing solo double points credit. They should also subtract one set of taxes and fees.
  11. On the Connie in January, we had a solo meetup in one of the bars. Met some fun people and we had dinner together most nights.
  12. Thanks for your review. For future reference, if you require more hangers, your room steward will be happy to provide them.
  13. I know y'all mean well, but please don't do this. Iain needs to want to quit for this to work for him. I speak as a person who battled this addiction for a long time. I can't count the number of times I quit only to start up again. Finally the switch flipped for me and I've now been a nonsmoker for twenty years. But I do not attempt to get others to quit, although I know very few people who smoke.
  14. You son may board with you, no problem with that. Best solution to dining would be to arrange with the Luminae maitre d'. There is a fee for each meal.
  15. I enjoy the suite life, but it no longer makes financial sense for me. And, as someone who sails solo, it makes even less sense, as I will be charged for two sets of drink packages, two wi-fi packages if I go AI. I really don't need to pay for that stuff twice since it's a loyalty benefit. I don't mind paying two sets of gratuities.
  16. I've had good luck with the shoreside concierges. All my requests were transmitted to the ships. Also, the butlers and the Retreat concierges have been very helpful with anything needed on board.
  17. Congratulations to Jeremy for finally kicking the habit. A cruise as a reward is definitely a good thing.
  18. Your butler is there to take care of you and make your cruise more enjoyable. The good ones will recognize that if you have a drink package, there is no reason not to keep your refrigerator stocked, even though that is not official "policy" in the lower suites. They make a living by earning good tips, so it is in their best interest to do a good job taking care of you.
  19. I posted all the MDR menus on Host Andy's site on that page we can't mention here. From my 10-night cruise on the Constellation in January.
  20. Kathy, that ship has sailed, so to speak. YC prices have drastically increased. I haven't sailed with them since the pandemic, but I'm not liking the pricing I'm seeing. And their food and service in the YC was never as good as Celebrity's used to be. And I agree with your comment re farmed seafood--yuck! I never order that stuff on the ship.
