I don't see why so many people think this is a credit limit issue. I'd say it's 99% likely just to get the charge on the next billing statement to delay the payment by a month.
My cruise charges tend to go through two days after they are made, so if the payment date is the day before the statement closes, you're probably good. If it works, that's great, but I wouldn't push it.
We have an Asia cruise in 2025 that's significantly more expensive than other locations. In my experience, Caribbean tends to be the cheapest (other than transatlantic) because of the glut of ships.
No need to wait. I put in my request on Saturday for a June cruise. Confirmed yesterday.
Note that I will not allow a third party to access my brokerage account directly, so I used the manual process of sending in a redacted portion of my December statement. That part took about a week to be approved, but now I'm set for as long as they deem the statement to be sufficient.
As noted in my signature, we currently have cruises booked on MSC, AmaWaterways, Princess, Cunard, and P&O in addition to a couple on Celebrity. In my mind, Celebrity has priced itself out of the market. They now charge like a high-end line, but deliver like a mid-range line.
A phone call is a waste of time - chances are nobody at Corporate will even admit there ever was a double point promo, but the points will post (usually about a week after the cruise).
You won't actually be E+ until the points post. But as stated above for b2b cruises, the Captain's Club host will advance your status for the second cruise.
"Some included" (wording corrected) is a drink package and WiFi paid for as part of the cruise fare. It used to be a much better value when it included gratuities, but really no longer is a value. If you buy the drink package and WiFi separately, it's generally cheaper than the bait-and-switch.
Drink packages only make sense if you are a reasonably heavy drinker. Less than that and it's cheaper to pay for drinks individually.
The misconception comes from the "sales" which only apply to the second person in the cabin. They word the offer as 75% the second person and not 37.5% off cruise fares specifically to exclude singles from the "discount".
My strategy has always been to make a speculative booking at the end of schedule to lock in the OBC and then rebook with my TA when I find a cruise I like. I don't know if even that works any more.
