  1. Forget that, I want to know why you keep changing avatars. I was just getting used to the penguin and now it's a soup can? Are we talking about multiple personalities here?
  2. She is sailing away now (link).
  3. When we purchased our two Future Cruises (choose later) bookings on board Constellation last November, our TA of record was automatically put on that booking by Celebrity. The Future Cruises consultant is very clear about that because if you want to change the TA, you have to sign a form attesting to that (which we did once many years ago). We selected our sailings a few weeks later when the new cruise season was released. If you do not have a TA identified on your Future Cruises booking, I think you have 30 days or else Celebrity ends up owning your booking.
  4. That is a very good point especially if the practice becomes widespread. I remember one Cruise Critic member who chooses the least attractive cabin in their category of interest for their placeholder booking exactly for that reason.
  5. I know some members on this forum have been doing exactly that for a while now.--which makes this whole 6 months, 12 months, 18 months discussion boring to them.
  6. I don't want a private island. Besides all the shady and nice spots will be in the Retreat area
  7. For those that may be interested in seeing a graph showing the deployment schedule for each ship in Celebrity's fleet. Among the 7 ships that just headed across the Atlantic to Europe there are two that are not doing a return transatlantic this coming fall. Celebrity Fleet Deployment Chart
  8. You are most welcome and you are right, it takes time to post a good live thread which is why it is not for everybody although the Starlink wifi connection is making it easier. I will probably post a live thread during our upcoming Solstice sailing. We are doing the Singapore to Hong Kong itinerary.
  9. I presume you know this, but just in case you do not: there is a Captains Club discount of 10-20% on "any bottle of wine" depending on your loyalty tier. There is some debate (in my mind) on whether this discount is for one bottle or more because in the past it used to be limited to one. However there has been at least one Cruise Critic member who recently reported that they were able to use the discount for multiple bottles during their sailing.
  10. Although I was not on the sailing, I do remember reading about the delay in her inaugural voyage in this forum. Of course there were more problems in store later for Millennium and her next two sisters with the Azipod thrust bearings. You probably remember when Millennium first came out, her hull was painted blue with gold highlights and the words GAS TURBINE painted in red near the stern (like she was a sports car). To me the blue hull was ok but I didn't care for the garish GAS TURBINE words. But I guess Celebrity decided it didn't either one, so Millennium and her sisters were soon repainted in the classic blue and white livery like Century class and Horizon class. And now we are back to blue. Infinity in her original blue livery, Feb 2002, St. Croix USVI
  11. Have a nice time, Ken. My wife and I very much like the Big Island. Akaka Falls is pretty.
  12. I also forgot to thank you for posting your live review. It was well written and the photos were beautiful. We've been on Solstice before and it was interesting to me to see photos of her in her blue livery. We will be back on Solstice in Dec when she does her Asian itineraries.
  13. Here are photos from the wine list in the Main Dining Room aboard Constellation during our Oct-Nov transatlantic cruise. Sorry about the pink-purple cast of the photos.
  14. It expired in the minds of many a while ago. I'm sorry that you guys got sick but at least you got to enjoy the majority of the cruise.
  15. Thanks for posting. I remember reading your post on another Cruise Critic forum yesterday. It's a little reminiscent of being able to check into the MGM Grand Casino and Hotel at the airport in Las Vegas many years ago.
  16. Specialty restaurants are more expensive, too—especially on Christmas Eve and NYE although for those two holidays it usually includes a special menu.
  17. Yes, with the MoveUp you will then get access to all that comes with the AquaClass cabin--dine at Blu and access to the thermal suite. You will not get the 5 club points per night that normally comes from booking an AquaClass cabin. You will get the 3 club points per night from having booked a balcony cabin.
  18. I think that this could happen with any airline. The real problem is trying to get it changed through Celebrity.
  19. Yes, but one of the names on the original booking has to remain if you want to preserve pricing.
