  1. I know that we were able to order room service through our stateroom television during our Reflection cruise in 2019. Is this feature disabled for the suites because of the butler service?
  2. We also had a Halloween magnet on our door last October on board Constellation. We also used magnetic hooks to hang a bag used to collect RSVPs for a Cruise Critic luncheon.
  3. I guess you don't understand the attraction?
  4. Magnets will stick to Celebrity's cabin doors.
  5. You are a candidate for a sunrise alarm clock. https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-sunrise-alarm-clock/
  6. You are correct. I just tried to purchase a drink package for our cruise-only sailing and it's either everyone gets a package or nobody gets one. I did recall someone a month ago posting that they were able to buy one package because their spouse did not drink via the phone. It took some convincing.
  7. Technically, you are not supposed to share the drink package between the two of you although if you're discrete (e.g. order one drink at a time) you can probably get away with it. Having said that, we are very light drinkers and as such it is not worth even buying one drink package. Perhaps someone will post drink prices so you can do the math. Weather and crossing conditions are highly variable. Generally the closer your cruise gets to Fort Lauderdale, the warmer it will be.
  8. My understanding is that you will not lose your NRD because of repricing.
  9. You can reprice as many times as you want before final payment is due, so I would go ahead and do it. The only reason I can think of for not doing it is if you have a nonrefundable deposit booking. Under those circumstances you have to decide whether it is worth saving another $369 by putting an additional $500 deposit at risk of possible forfeiture in the event of cancelling. Maybe your TA can get the repricing done without the additional deposit.
  10. The water also needs to be mineral free. Boiling and cooling doesn't accomplish that.
  11. I agree with your premise, it's just that the fact sheet doesn't prove it since it doesn't show any size variation within a category.
  12. The fact sheet has the four FVs listed as the same size. They are not. There are other similar examples where there is variation in cabin size that is not reflected in the sheet. Remember, I am the nerd with the tape measure......
  13. Sorry to be so cryptic. I didn't think that you worked to cruise in an oceanview cabin--it's not a cat you typically book, that's all. Or maybe I am cryptic and wrong!
  14. Not surprisingly, this promotion does not help me out with my next 4 sailings: 1. Galapagos 2023--much more expensive (XS) 2. Christmas 2023 Solstice--price is very cheap because it was 3x lift and shift (V1) 3. Panama Canal Summit 2024--UVs are sold out, so I cannot re-price 4. Transpacific Solstice 2025--more expensive (C1)
  15. We book FVs which sell out quickly. Having said that, we have not had any luck in getting a price check done when they are sold out. However I have read of a few people on this board that have gotten their sold out cabin re-priced.
  16. I do not believe that the size difference that you see on the deck plan is real--just like the cabins on the slant are not shaped like a parallelogram.
  17. You were spoiled by the food and service on your last cruise, 1998 Century. We all were.
  18. Here is the Back to Back Offer flyer: link
  19. Taking a break from the vaping threads! Everyone knows that Celebrity will run different variants of the same underlying promotion. However sometimes a particular variant will be more favorable for a certain set of passengers. In this case Celebrity's "new" promotion favors people booking a cabin for one, three, or four people. If you are booking a cabin for two people, I believe the cost and benefits not much different from the previous incarnation (I think the OBC is less with this new promotion). Here is the link to the flyer which includes the fine print.
  20. Nice posts so far. Happy Anniversary, by the way.
  21. Earlier this week, I came across this article in the New York Times: A Culinary Roman Empire's Next Conquest? Manhattan. It's an article about a restaurant in Rome named Salumeria Con Cucina Roscioli. It's a delicatessen that is also is a full service restaurant. Apparently they are opening up a restaurant in New York City's Soho area. During our pre-cruise time in Rome last October, my wife and I had a very late lunch there. Here are some photos and a couple of comments. We ate there on Oct 19th and our reservations were for 2:45 pm. I made the online reservation 26 days in advance and all the decent dining times for lunch and dinner were already gone. Salumeria means delicatessen in Italian. And it definitely had its delicatessen roots on full display when you first walk in. There is makeshift seating at the deli area and there is a more proper dining room (aka Wine Cellar) elsewhere. Our reservations were for the Wine Cellar, but when we showed up at our appointed time, our reservation was not in their system. So they seated us in the deli area near the front door. The above photo was our appetizers. The above photo was the carbonara which I had. There was a woman seated behind us that we had a brief conversation with. She was leaving Rome to go back to the USA and she wanted to eat her last meal here. It was her favorite restaurant and she ate there often during her annual trip to Rome. Here is their menu. The evening before, we had our dinner at Da Enzo al 29, their bread came from Roscioli which I found interesting
  22. Thanks for posting, GP. So far we have demonstrated our ability to get signs removed.
  23. Correction, we stayed in 605. If you can get the superior double, I think it is worth the price. To me, getting assigned one at check-in with a balcony was a bonus, but apparently that meant you were likely to get a much smaller room. @-Lew- very much disliked this smaller room and preferred being assigned one without a balcony in order to get a a larger room (link)--so that tells you something. The superior doubles without a balcony have a window that opens. If you look at Tripadvisor (link), you will see a lot of positive reviews about the view rooms with windows. However, I also mentioned that I would be fine with a room without a view--if that is all I could get--because it is awesome to step out of the hotel and be a step away from the Pantheon. To be able to do this in the mid to late evening after the crowds leave was awesome. Pantheon view from Room 605 (Albergo del Senato), Oct 17 2022, 10:05 am View of balcony for Room 603 (furthest way) and 604 (center). Oct 19, 2022 at 12:10am. Albergo del Senato is partly visible all the way to the left in the photo.
