  1. My girlfriend was impressed also. They even got stuff sent to her.
  2. Thank you. I had a feeling our ship berthed on starboard side in Canada. I go to the biannual annual wooden boat Festival in Hobart and holidayed on the NQ islands, so you'd think I'd know.
  3. thank you Port and left have four letters, therefore starboard can only be right. Is port side alwayst on the wharf? I like watching all the rope being used to tie the ship up etc. On my last cruise, after a long time between cruises due to Covid, the guys on the wharf at Darwin were getting impatient re how long it was taking. One said to the other, they are probably letting someone practice.
  4. I dont think a lot of people realise just how severe the symptons can be, especially for seniors or those with pre-existing health issues. . My girlfriend was nursed in place in a convent, with medical people monitoring her condition on line. She said she'd never been so sick.
  5. That is a good memory to have, especially under current circumstances.
  6. Recommendations for best side of ship and best middle deck for a balcony cabin, when cruising north to GBR?
  7. They love their sport. So sad when they are killing themselves.
  8. Kiriwina is the largest of Trobriand islands in Milne Bay Province Most of the people who live in the Trobriand islands live here. Anyone visited here on a ship?
  9. I don't think $21 return shuttle is expensive for the convenience. However there is public transport
  10. That is so sad, Where are the church leaders to provide guidance and assistance?
  11. Most of the accommodation close to Portside are good quality.
  12. Congratulations on being first on the roll call. I tried to book and it didn't go through. Have now sent an email request. How nice to be visiting your son in Brisbane, as well as doing a cruise to GBR. My daughters love Canada and lived there as long as they were eligible (before 31) They lived in Mont Trembland in the East and Calgary in the West.
  13. That is what I thought, as I think talk of a cough is misleading.
  14. Leura is the most beautiful part of the Blue Mountains in my opinion. We've stayed there several times in a house. One was in walking distance to a lookout - so beautiful - plus the chorus of birds. We are going up to the Mountains by train if the weather is good tomorrow. If you want to know anything let me know today.
  15. Am I right in assuming bigger ships are higher risk once Covid gets on the ship?
  16. Yes I know, but I suspect you can catch covid from a positive person with no cough. In the theatre there is 100% occupancy crowded together yet heads swing around when anyone coughs. I give out cough lollies for coughers who can't stop a tickle!
  17. I hope the wine drinkers are going to put in a complaint to management. I was on a ship once where there was a near riot because they didn't have the favourite brand of soda water ? I had never heard of it, but see it everywhere now.
  18. Do they know where all the Covid cases came from, eg passengers or crew?
  19. My first balcony was an upgrade from an inside (guarantee). Got my cabin no on the wharf and it was a beautiful big balcony.
