Are they stopping at other ports as well as two days on Mystery Island?

I can't comment because I haven't been to the new port whereas my girlfriend has. Both the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast are tourist cities and would dearly love to have a port if they were suitable. Mooloolaba has been unreliable.

Yes it was built for the large cruise ships. My friend said the weather has to be quite flat before the ship can come into the new port. They cruised an extra two days. She is concerned about the cyclone season for her next cruise. The major reason a cruise ship terminal is not recommended on the GC by the experts is because there is no protection from the rough ocean seas.

Wow did you type all that? Looks as hard to master for a multitude of breeds for BIS, as a Law Degree. I was talking to a GC Whippet Breeder, with the cutest whippet, who said whippets can be no higher than a certain height. Our big male whippet wouldn't stand a chance but the girl is smaller.

Can you imagine how expensive this is for Australians unless it is off peak or no ships are in port. Any wonder I usually stay at nearby Potts Point!

Trying to plan a long weekend's activities in Parramatta is not easy. Friday 90% rain Saturday 5% rain Sunday 90% rain Then rain all week. I can't follow the state government thinking at present. Are they no longer worried because the state hospitals aren't being swamped? Where are the statistics and health advice from the health experts? How many people in nursing homes still have covid or long covid? There are more questions than answers when the people are saying "hang on a bit"!

They are less expensive out of peak season and have special offers. In addition I get a discount. I think they are good value. They also have no single supplement offers. I like the Norwegian food which doesn't appeal to everyone. If you do the Norwegian Coastal Voyage there is beautiful scenery most of the way so no excursions necessary unless you go on Expedition Cruisers. Have a read of their website which is appealing!

That would be wonderful as Brisbane River is scenic. I do a small boat cruise from gold coast to brisbane.

Can you see Nudgee Beach and Redcliffe lights before the Sunshine Coast lights?

I'd rather get a small ship to Bangkok than Laem Chabang, on the ocean, and Hanoi,140 klm inland from the South China Sea. I'd rather get a small ship to Portside, Hamilton, with all its facilities than the new port. Do you know why they are discontinuing with Portside for small ships. All those high rise buildings are only there because of the port.

Cruise ships dock Wharf Street Cairns in centre of Cairns, walking distance to restaurants, CBD and the Esplanade.

I think it is common sense unless you are outside in the fresh air. I've been attending the theatre and there is always someone nearby coughing. The type of coughing that starts with a tickle and won't stop. I reach in my purse for a cough lolly and they stop.

Thank you That is good to know, esp if you are short of time on a cruise. Manly and Watson's Bay are musts on all my visits I love Sydney Harbour and its harbourside walks.

Me too. Only a fortnight to go. Not travelling as much as I usually do, but weather is not great. If all else fails, I have an adult card, as we used to have to buy an adult card to get from the airport to central station to buy our Seniors OPAL cards. I've always lost money because Seniors OPAL cards used to expire.

No not my Queensland Senior Card I thought it might have been my Commonwealth Low Income Card which had expired, but it wasn't The Govt is getting the surcharge now.
