  1. You can cancel excursions up to 48 hrs before the start. If you book online you can go online and cancel prior to the cruise and your OBC or credit card will be refunded. Once onboard it will be refunded to OBC on your seapass acount.
  2. I believe this is the issue. Once a reservation is non-refundable deposit there is no way to move it back to refundable. I had this experience once when a Celebrity rep mistakenly applied the wrong rate during a reprice and immediately corrected it. They tried, escalated etc and couldn't make it refundable. They eventually just sent me an email saying if I cancelled the deposit would be refunded and noted it on the reservation. Note for the future. If you know you are moving to a group at a different fare anyway, the fare you book is really not important so just do a refundable deposit. I really don't see any reason why you couldn't cancel the existing reservation and rebook (I know you said they said no but this is what a good TA is for). I would ask the TA to cover the $200 penalty.
  3. I would talk to the Matre'd and have them adjust the tip amount. This isn't the first time this has happened.
  4. Probably wonderful news for Celebrity. Travel loyalty programs are being gutted lately
  5. Sharing is not allowed. If her drinking habits don't justify a package then her drink will just be charged to her seapass card.
  6. If you are getting off the ship it's a bit different. You can leave any time during disembarkation process. You will be given a "transit pass" to use to get back on the ship for the second sailing. You bypass the checkin process in the terminal but you can't get back onboard until they start the general boarding.
  7. You don't really need to do online checkin for the second sailing but it does make things go slightly smoother if you do. If you supply photos and your credit card information then they will have that for the second sailing. They don't carry anything over from the first sailing to the second so if you don't do it then you need to get photo's taken when getting onboard the second sailing and you will have to go to guest relations to register your credit card. As far as the B2B procedure. They give you a letter onboard describing the details but basically if you are staying onboard you meet somewhere around 9 am then when everyone's off the ship they walk you out through immigration and back on the ship. Generally takes around an hour mostly waiting time.
  8. Just off the Summit yesterday. If the cruise line expects you to use the app maybe they should make it somewhat accurate. The times/locations in the app were consistently wrong. The lunch menus weren't listed for Luminae for the last 2 days. The paper equivalents were provided to everyone and were accurate. Bottom line using a cell phone onboard to day to day ship life in not a requirement and Celebrity has a long way to go if they want to make it one.
  9. On Equinox in September it was a hard no when we asked if we could order something from Blu menu in Luminae even if asking the day before.
  10. I believe that it states that after final payment if you book then find a lower price within 48 hrs they will give you the difference in OBC. Before final payment they will adjust the final payment price
  11. I believe the service charge for the onboard ATM is $6 but it might be more now. The casino will charge 5% although there are some people for which the fee is waived.
  12. If you are in a Royal Suite or above with included specialty dining the gratuity is included as well.
  13. The promo code for this offer is WELCOME100. You can always try adding it to any new booking.
  14. Since you live in Raleigh the answer is yes. Angus Barn has their dress code posted on the door. Prohibits most of the same things a Celebrity.
  15. In Tampa the sheriff was preventing access to the terminal until about 11:15. They made everyone wait in the parking lot a few hundred feet away. Yes even suite passengers.
  16. https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-deals/sms-welcome-offer Only applicable to NRD deposits veranda or above.
  17. If they are going to have the rules then enforce them. If not then remove the rules and the confusion it causes.
  18. Maybe keep the original reservation and go straight to Tuscan after boarding and try to change to the desired time. I guess the only way shoreside has to change time is to cancel/rebook causing the price adjustment.
  19. You can use any FDA approved home kit so yes the ones you got from the government will work. Just check the expiry date although I doubt Celebrity does.
  20. Not a one off. Cost savings for sure.
  21. Yes it's final payment date for the sailing, not whether or not you have made final payment. No transfer to the agent after final. It has always been that way. I would just call your TA tomorrow and give them the reservation number of the held reservation and let him/her figure it out. Worst that will happen is you have to get on a 3 way call to release your hold and let the TA make the booking. I do find it a bit shady that they always seem to have the bonus discount on the weekends when lots of TAs are unavailable.
  22. I have also stopped doing post cruise surveys since 10 seems to be the only acceptable response. I do fill out the attention to detail forms to highlight crew who have enhanced my experience and quietly address any rare situation with service with the person in charge. Why doesn't Celebrity just modify the scale on their survey to Awful() Excellent() N/A() as that seems to be the only correct answers. I have to admit it starts to annoy me when a waiter who knows I'm a frequent Celebrity cruiser starts in with the 10 is important on the survey speech midway through the cruise. In my very successful 40 year career in IT I can say I never had a perfect sore on my performance appraisal.
  23. You need to read the country requirements for Italy on Celebrity's Healthy at Sea pages. In particular see if a Certificate of Recovery is accepted for your particular sailing.
