  1. Time to go back to Celebrity and tell them what Anon said. Your payment was processed by Celebrity so I would hold them responsible to resolve. If you can't get anywhere get to Resolutions department.
  2. It's interesting that both the 30% for all passengers and the 60% BOGO promotions are showing on the promo calendar until 8/10. Yes this promo calendar is for TA's but it's on a publicly visible website.
  3. Some TA's seem to be able to transfer outside the 30 day posted rule, not sure how, that's why I leave it to them.
  4. It will be interesting to see if they just remove the solo discount or if it will be a reprice
  5. My point was it would make sense for Celebrity to take the AI upgrade at the prevailing rates providing it was more $$ than their original fare. I'm surprised they won't do this.
  6. In the past you were able to upgrade stateroom category after final payment at the prevailing rate without having to cancel and rebook and eat the penalty.
  7. Yes. Take test any time on Thursday for Saturday sailing.
  8. Yes as long as you have the Xpress pass, negative test results and vaccine proof along with passport or other travel documents. You don't need anything in the Edocs.
  9. You can request baggage tags from the porter at the port.
  10. No. This is one rule strictly enforced by Celebrity. There is no ability to invite others for a fee like there is at Luminae. You as AQ can dine in the MDR select dining with others. Just speak to the Blu Hostess and they will arrange.
  11. As usual the current promo will be extended through 8/10 per their flyer. https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/General_Info/Special_Offers/CEL_07_01_July_14_30-OFF_Sale.pdf
  12. @jg51 Not Jim here but the policy is different between Europe sailings and US sailings. On US sailings the ability to stay onboard to finish quarantine terminated on June 30 where in Europe it terminates on Nov 30. I believe the policy to allow passengers to stay onboard to finish quarantine was introduced after Jim's TA. I can't find any policy which is effective for current sailings from the US dealing with quarantine. https://www.celebritycruises.com/content/dam/celebrity/pdf/cel-covid-19-cancellations-and-refunds-policy.pdf
  13. In the current CDC guidelines I was reading today there was a note about disembarking in the next 36 hrs being able to stay in your original cabin. Not sure of the science behind that number. https://www.cdc.gov/quarantine/cruise/covid-19-cruise-ship-guidance.html Cruise ship operators should consider the following elements when isolating cases or quarantining close contacts: Isolating or quarantining travelers in single-occupancy cabins, with private bathrooms, with the door closed. Designating isolation and quarantine cabins in areas separate from other cabins. If a traveler is identified as a case or a close contact is disembarking the ship within 36 hours, it may be more practical for the cruise ship operator to keep the traveler in their original cabin if the traveler will be the only person in that cabin. Ensuring isolated travelers (except if the traveler is a child or other dependent person who needs a caregiver) do not have direct contact with other travelers except for designated medical staff. Asymptomatic travelers with confirmed COVID-19 may share a cabin. Ensuring designated medical staff or other personnel wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) per CDC guidance when in proximity to isolated or quarantined travelers. Delivering meals to individual cabins with no face-to-face interaction during this service. Ensuring cabins housing isolated or quarantined travelers are not cleaned by crew members. Supplies such as paper towels, cleaners, disinfectants, and extra linens should be provided to isolated or quarantined persons so they can clean their cabin by themselves as necessary. Food waste and other trash should be collected and bagged by the isolated or quarantined traveler and placed outside the cabin during designated times for transport to the waste management center for incineration or offloading. Soiled linens and towels should be bagged in a manner that limits exposure to crew members (e.g., water-soluble bags, biohazard double-bags) by the isolated or quarantined traveler and placed outside the cabin during designated times for transport to the laundry room. Use of surveillance cameras or security personnel to ensure compliance with isolation or quarantine protocols wherever possible. Potential criteria when selecting cabins for isolation or quarantine: Proximity to the medical facility and gangways for ease of patient transport Location in dead-end corridors or low-traffic areas to minimize potential exposures Spacing between other occupied cabins to reduce transmission risk Absence of interconnecting doors to reduce accidental exposures Positioning within view of security cameras for enforcement of isolation or quarantine Presence of balconies for psychological morale
  14. I know the full covid policy expires the end of November but Celebrity has historically provided compensation for any days where you were forced to isolate. When presenting to medical with noro they will also put you in isolation, pre-covid it was always in your own stateroom. I believe the compensation was always FCC. I would hope they would at least this part of the policy for any forced isolation for whatever reason. I do think people should really examine their travel insurance strategy as these protection policies expire. (No) Self insurance might sting in some of these situations.
  15. You can't used saved photos on the app. I fill out what I can on the app then go to the web checkin and upload the photos. It allows you from there.
  16. There are such policies in the US, just cost way more than you are quoting.
  17. Poster is in the UK. I think insurance there is much different.
  18. It's best if before calling you know what you are entitled to. Cruise With Confidence applies to bookings made on or before March 31, 2022 for sailings up to September 30, 2022. Bookings made after March 31, 2022, will be covered with our existing Best Price Guarantee policy. https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-with-confidence If your booking and sailing dates qualify for Cruise With Confidence then any price difference after final payment is given as OBC. Unfortunately if your dates don't qualify for CwC there will be no adjustment as the Best Price Guarantee won't apply either. You can find the booking date in the upper right corner of the pdf Guest Invoice.
  19. I think they meant would a test be available at the port since they do them for any unvaccinated children.
  20. I agree. Call the engagement center at the number @jelayne provided. If you run that to a dead end then escalate to Jennifer Morales - Director JenniferMorales@celebrity.com
  21. If you get the runaround make sure you ask to be forwarded to the resolutions department. You have the date and time of the call so they should be able to listen to the phone conversation as well. Also if the sailings were made before March 31, 2022 and assuming the first one departs before Sept 30 they are eligible for Cruise with Confidence and any difference of fare on the first sailing (after final payment) should be given in OBC. This is going to be a mess to straighten out. Situations like this is where a good TA can be a blessing.
  22. I think we were on the same sailings with you in Sept and yes didn't get the written results until the next morning.
  23. I believe it's only the test which must be dated 11 days prior to embarkation. I don't see anywhere that the COR must also be dated any specific time prior to embarkation. In our case DW tested positive exactly 11 days prior to embarkation. DR issued CoR 6-7 days later after confirming isolation for 5 days was complete and no symptoms for 3 days. If the CoR had to be dated 11 days prior to embarkation it would have been impossible for DW to get one given the CoR asserts that isolation period has been completed. Full disclosure she tested negative the day before departure so we used that test instead of the CoR. Having to do the B2B test is just stupid if they just take the CoR if you happen to test positive. Just stupid!
  24. We have been on B2B where tests were done early in the day 8-9. We were asked to go to our room and stay until results were available. We were notified we were negative within 30 minutes. 50-60 B2B'ers. There were 3 techs I think. The tests have a 15 minute "soak" time but many can be done in parallel.
  25. I have an Aug 29/Sept 8 B2B. Both cruise planners show Murano $60 with 10% off $53.99 (really? 10% off %60 is $54!). Then they add the 18% gratuity at checkout. I hope they aren't really raising the price again as the increase is already 30% if you add the $10 + $10.80 gratuity.
