  1. As a back to backer on a ship last week, we (all 360 of us) booed the two a-holes that kept us standing in the terminal for an extended length of time because they wanted to hang out. Old folks were ending up sitting on the floor. Don’t get booed-get gone!
  2. Got 2 on our Nieuw Amsterdam cruise this week
  3. We are currently on board (second week). Steaks in Pinnacle were unusually tough and good luck finding anyone who can cook a rare steak—except Tamarind! Overall a wonderful experience-but we’re always happy to have sea days. Those who would have enjoyed beach time at Bonaire (canceled stop due to limping azipod) were no doubt disappointed to get to the substitute Aruba too late for beach visits. Really, today in Curaçao is the only stop on this cruise that was meaningful. $50 compensation for missing Half Moon is all you’re gonna get for your one useful stop cruise. Dining room is fine but s l o w. You can get almost the same menu in the Lido. And (TMI here)—- why no toilet brush in the bathroom?
  4. I’d take a walking stick to help a little with slanted beaches. Double replacement here—doing great! Hope it all goes swimmingly for you1
  5. Thank you so much! I just wasn’t going far enough to get to that gift card option. You made my day!
  6. Is it possible to turn my gift card into onboard credit before the cruise? Could I do it online somehow? I've searched the website but couldn't find anything. I'd like to pre-book a couple things using my gift card $ but can't figure it out. Thanks for any tips!
  7. Does the Pinnacle Grill turn into a pop-up Rudi’s Sel de Mer once during a 7 day cruise? If so, what night or how do you make reservations?
  8. Should our boarding passes have a P on it for priority boarding for Neptune Suites or is the S indicating Neptune/Pinnacle good enough? Thanks!
  9. Do they still have the tiered display of dates outside the dining room for your enjoyment?
  10. Do not lean up against an underwater rock to adjust your flippers. Tiny stationary jellyfish living on the rock shot their tiny barbs all over my calf. It was a mess! Took a long time to heal because I scratched my leg and burst all the poison sacs.
  11. Sincerest condolences. We will miss the informative posts
  12. When I go to the link provided and look at the schedule for the NA stops in HMC on Feb 11th and Feb 13th, it shows the NA twice….as if there were 2 ships named NA???
  13. We were in 12100 in 2022–you’re gonna love it BUT—beware of the very slippery shower floor and the slippery hot tub steps
  14. I’ve tried all day on safari, chrome, and Firefox and the website won’t load— I get an error message. Anyone else?
  15. Does anyone have a phone # to call to try and wheedle our way into an upgrade/upsell? Maybe they're feeling generous at Christmas! ha ha ha
  16. Just be aware that the heated loungers on the Apex are exposed to the walkway to the different areas of the spa. You can hear all the chatter from the people deciding what to experience next. It’s not the quiet, peaceful spot I’ve experienced on S class ships where the loungers are more separate. It was nice but occasionally, I had to “sssshusss” some folks—-or I wanted to anyway! Ha!
  17. I tried also--I looked up "zero proof" in search and saw the package for coffees and soft drinks for $19/day but when you click "book it", it sent you to your cruise planner where it isn't available
  18. I thought the Celebrity Suite on an S class ship was great for us. I need a separate place to go when the snoring gets too bothersome and on the S class, the bedroom has walls and the sectional sofa makes into a bed. It also had a lovely walk-in closet with a chest of drawers. On the Edge class, the door is a sliding opaque panel so if the living room TV is on, you'll have that light coming in. And I think maybe the walls didn't go up to the ceiling...and smaller closet than S class. And no L shaped sofa..just the usual hard one. And some god awful tree stump tables and a rocker with rungs to trip over. And 400 million throw pillows! Wish Celebrity could ditch those danged throw pillows! But, you're on the Equinox so go for the CS if you're looking to save $$
  19. Thanks for the great review. Had me re-living our Apex cruise last Feb. That Branzino in Eden...OMG!
  20. OK--here's a good one. We were completely floored that for our first B2B on the APEX last year, our weenie bid to move from a sky suite to a Celebrity Suite landed us in the Iconic suite for week one! WHAT? Quick, get inside and lock the door and don't answer if anyone knocks! The second week, we were in the Celebrity suite from our move up bid...and from our balcony, we could see who replaced us in the Iconic suite! bahahaha! We wanted to yell--"hey--get outta our room!" It was a once in a lifetime dream week! (not that week 2 wasn't delightful) My advice--always do a move up....you just never know where you might land!
  21. We're on a 14 day cruise but could only purchase a 7 day TS pass for the first week. I'd like it for the second week but when I called and asked, the response was that I could only book the first week? Weird?
  22. I've found some non-alcohol wines that are acceptable. If I bring a couple bottles, I wonder if I still have to pay the $20 corkage fee? My hubby likes Clausthaler NA beer--can he bring some onboard?
  23. February--but I saw some folks posting they'd put in move up bids for their Feb sailings. I also saw some folks had the same twirl trouble and got a work around by calling Celebrity. Just looking for hints from anyone that got through. But no worries--I can wait
