  1. Not permitted, except for the specific exclusion for wine. Alcohol purchased at ports of call is subject to a hold by Princess. The bottles are returned to your cabin on the final evening of your cruise.
  2. There are laundry tickets in your cabin. Fill out the ticket and place it in the laundry bag(s). Leave the laundry bag(s) on your bed or somewhere else that is obvious to the cabin steward. Your cabin steward will pick up and have your clothing cleaned. I am not certain of the turn around time. You can ask your cabin steward. If it is just pressing that you want you can easily do this yourself in the self laundry rooms. There are laundry rooms on each passenger deck except deck 15. No charge for ironing. https://www.princess.com/content/dam/princess/onboard-experience/pdfs/Princess Suite eFlyer.pdf.coredownload.inline.pdf
  3. Where? What airport, what port? You would have to stay overnight and then return to the airport to catch the transfer if you can do this at all. At most ports it's easier to take a cab or uber. If you book a hotel package with Princess it included the transfer to the ship. Princess needs to know the flight so they are aware of how many are arriving on what flights at what times.
  4. "We like the "Anytime Dining" concept because passengers can select a regular "Traditional Dining" experience or go to any dining room and at anytime they choose." No more signing up for traditional dining on Princess. It's all Dine My Way. You may be able to arrange to have the same table and waiters each evening once on board. Anytime is still available. Just show up and they will try to seat you.
  5. Believe you will be charged the stated price + 18%.
  6. My opinion is days only, no more cruises. Counting by cruises was ok when most ships and most passengers sailed one week cruises.
  7. From what I have read here the posted price, ie $39, no longer included the service charge. An 18% service charge is added. A $39 dinner now becomes $45.02. No more additional cash tips for me.
  8. To add. The coffee package is no longer. Can't even purchase it.
  9. Options: Princess shuttle if there is one. Port Everglades intra-port garage shuttle from the mid port to the north port garage. Taxi - min fare Uber - If you can find someone willing to do this short route.
  10. If your purpose is to visit NYC then you should book a hotel in Manhattan. The area around Red Hook is not a tourist area.
  11. The company I used went out of business during covid.
  12. Unlimited internet is $20/day for one device. It is $15/day if the entire cruise is purchased. One device means that only one device can be connected at a time. You can log off one device and then log on with a different device. Same price pre-cruise or on board. If purchased on board the cost will net against any OBC you may have. Pre-cruise has to be paid by credit card. There are 4 device packages. I don't know the cost. If you are on back to back cruises then you will receive one medallion on initial boarding which will be active until you disembark. Likewise on a back to back your on board account will roll over and there will be one final billing when you disembark. If you are on separate cruises then each cruise will have a different medallion.
  13. You have to go directly to the sanctuary on boarding. The line forms quickly. You choose from whatever seating is available. There isn't much shade. On most ships, maybe all of them, the covering is a netting which really does not provide shade or sun protection. I believe some of the latest ships do have some real shade areas. You wanted to know if it's worth it. I do not like to sit around in a lounge for hours at a time. So to me the sanctuary isn't my thing. But if you do enjoy sitting around then yes, it's luxury sitting on your cushioned reserved lounge. Think of it this way. If you reserve a lounge for an entire 10 day cruise the cost is $300. The lounge is always there. Come and go as you wish. If you reserve for a few a few afternoons then it's a nice experience, something special for those days.
  14. I see a total of 14 Wheelchair Accessible balcony cabins on the Grand Princess. You may hear at anytime what cabin you have been assigned. It could be the week of your sailing. Internet can be pre-purchased or purchased on board. If purchased on board it will be applied to any OBC you may have. The cost is $20/day for one device or $15/day if you purchase for the entire cruise. One device means that only one device can be logged on at a time. You can log off one device and then log onto a different device. If both of you want to be connected to the internet throughout the cruise then each of you will have to purchase an internet plan. There is no charge to use the on board intranet. Ocean Now, which is the ability to order room service and delivery to anywhere on the ship via your smart device has a one time fee of $15. Room service breakfast using the door hanging tag is no charge. Room service using the telephone cost $5 for each call.
  15. Access around the ship. The Sky Princess has a concierge lounge on deck 14. This is for full suite passengers. The Sanctuary on deck 18 forward is an upcharge relaxation area open to any passenger that books it. The area has reserved lounges that you select and on the Sky I believe there is a hot tub. The Sanctuary area is popular on tropical cruises. It may not be as popular on your itinerary. If you wish to use The Sanctuary go there directly on boarding to reserve your days and lounges. It's $20/half day, $40/full day, $30/day if you reserve the entire cruise, all sea and port days. When I sailed from Southampton I booked a hotel there. I arrived a few days before the cruise at Heathrow early in the morning like your flight. I arranged for a private transfer to pick me up at Heathrow and transfer us directly to the Southampton hotel. The drive is around 90 minutes. The cost was very reasonable and the private transfer was comfortable. You will be very tired the day of arrival. If your plan is to tour around London you might not see very much. Princess transfers are not that cost efficient. They are included if you purchase a Princess pre-cruise hotel package. Note that pricing for pre-cruise hotel packages are quoted per person. The cost turns out to be high. Princess transfers are also quoted per person. The cost tends to be close to a private transfer. I would not arrive the day of the cruise. I like to know I'm there. Why take the risk? You will be very tired when you arrive. Fall asleep at any time. It takes a day to kind of adjust. Really a few days. Southampton is a nice small city to walk around. You can also purchase any supplies you require for the cruise at the local stores.
  16. It's usually better and more efficient to place restaurants near the galley areas.
  17. I don't believe this is high on Princess' to do list. But, I have often thought for a long time that the loyalty levels should be solely by days at sea and not cruises. The cruise system was established long ago when most cruises and most passengers booked weekly voyages. Princess added the 50 & 150 day thresholds sometime in the mid 2000's as passengers started to take longer cruises. One item that would not cost very much, if anything at all, is priority luggage delivery on embarkation. Those collecting luggage at the pier would just have to place all luggage tagged priority on a special loading container. I do like the shorter laundry turn around mentioned in post no. 4.
  18. On the Princess site select "find a cruise". Go through the process to select the cruise that you want. Select the cabin category you wish to book. Search deck by deck and you will be able to find which cabins are available. Available cabins change all the time as people book and the ship fills up. There are options that identify connecting cabins, cabins that have 3rd and 4th berths. If you are looking for a deluxe balcony cabin on a Royal Class ship indicate that you have a 3rd person in your cabin.
  19. Beverage Package, wifi and gratuities are part of the plus or premier fares. They are not part of full suite benefits. https://www.princess.com/en-us/cruise-deals-promotions/plus-premier-cruise-packages
  20. Self service Laundry. $3 wash, $3 dry. Tokens available in the laundry. Use your medallion to purchase the tokens. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets also available. Many people bring their own. Irons available at no charge. Sanctuary is $20/half day, $40/full day, $30 a full day if you purchase the entire cruise. You need to go there quickly and directly on boarding. It's on a 1st come basis. Passengers on b2bs usually can reserve for the next leg on the last day of the previous voyage. No difference port or sea day. There are some special days with special pricing like the day going through the Panama Canal.
  21. First you have to book the cruise. Then you have to request and receive approval from Princess to depart at Lisbon. Princess has to check it out, determine what and if immigration and customs officials will be able to process you in Lisbon. If you do receive written approval you will still be charged for the entire voyage. No refund for days missed. You will also require any immigration visas that may be required to enter Portugal.
  22. Our mail is delivered to a central mailbox locations within our gated community. Those that deliver change frequently. Some are USPS employees, some are temporary. There are a number of people here that house watch. I pay to have my house watched and to pick up the mail. It's a small charge.
  23. Plus fare is $60 per person per day. 1st two passengers in cabin are required to purchase (have the same package). Non alcoholic beverage package is roughly $35 per day. The package is individual. One person can have it and the other not have it. Plus package includes unlimited wifi, $15 per day if purchased separately and daily gratuity which is $16 $17 or $18 per person per day. Basically, if you add the non alcoholic package, wifi and gratuity together the amount is higher than the $60 plus fare.
  24. Simple answer. No guests. Meet them on shore.
  25. I have a person watch my home and collect the mail. Almost all my Bill's are on auto pay. The few that are not I pre pay. I over pay credit cards to cover expected expenses. The post office will stop your mail, max 30 days. Parking. I would call the Crown Plaza and the Double Tree to determine their parking fees with a pre cruise stay and just accept as a cost of the vacation. I have been on these extended cruises. It takes lots of planning.
