  1. "It was always freezing and had fresh water not salt." All Princess pools are all fresh water.
  2. 1. You will get the fare your booked. If the fare goes down you can change up to 45 days before the flight ( or maybe it is before the sailing date). 2. Not really. Most airlines will require full payment before you can use miles to upgrade. EZ Air is a consolidator. They will pay the airline inside the 45 day window. Once booked you will be able to find the airline's reference number in the EZ Air details. You can then call the airline and see what your options are. 3. EZ Air could change your flights or connections. Can't think of anything else.
  3. Yes you can charge casino play to your on board account. If you have a credit balance (OBC) the charge will net against this balance and will have a casino account. Be aware that you actually have to play. If you only take a few pulls and then try to cash out your casino account will be frozen. You can also charge table game play to purchase chips. Most table games have better odds than slots.
  4. The plus fare is the same for adults and minors. There is no difference in cost.
  5. It's Christmas Day. The excursion providers probably want to be home with their families. The beach should still be open. Just walk across the bridge. The beach bar could also be closed.
  6. I always noticed the quick sunset at sea. It's there - it's gone.
  7. The program for payment excursions is passenger specific. The only way I know, I'm not sure it still works or if the person you speak with will understand, is to call Princess to book the excursion. Princess used to have a method to cross over the OBC. Good luck. You can not do this on line.
  8. You have to ask your airline or review the fine print of your credit card. EZ Air is a consolidator. Airlines have different rules regarding application of credit card benefits when booked through a consolidator. An example is United. To receive the credit card benefits you have to book direct with the airline and charge to your United credit card.
  9. Coffee, teas, juices in the morning, hot chocolate. These are available in the DR's and the buffet. If you have the plus or premier package then look at the site below. The costs shown are for a stand alone package. It is not for the add on fares. https://www.princess.com/en-us/ships-and-experience/onboard-experience/food-and-dining/beverages
  10. The cabin steward fills a bucket of ice each day or more if you use it all.
  11. I don't smoke either, never have. But, the International Cafe is there on the Coral. To just stop by for a doughnut, sandwich, cookie, coffee or something to carry away I don't think would offend very many, especially in the morning when the casino is not very busy and on port days when it is closed.
  12. Not exactly. The Coral has a small International Cafe by the casino. It also has the Universe Lounge which was removed from the Island.
  13. Pizza by the slice on the Lido deck.
  14. Just a desk chair. All balcony category cabins have the same interiors. The word 'premium' only refers to location.
  15. For information for the original poster: That is because it was a longer cruise, 14 days, plus schools are in session. Longer cruises that are not b2bs tend to have an older demographic of retired people that have the extra time.
  16. As far back as I can remember, from the early 90's, Princess has never sailed from Baltimore. Princess' focus was the west coast, Mexico in the winter and Alaska in the summer. As the line expanded they moved into the Caribbean for a winter season, sailing from Ft. Lauderdale where you are in warm shorts and pool weather from the time you board the ship. The most profitable winter itineraries are the weekly Caribbean sailings. You just can't get past the Bahamas in a week when you sail from Baltimore.
  17. Generally middle age to older crowd, but it really depends on the itinerary. One week or shorter cruises younger crowd, longer cruises older crowd, holiday and Alaska cruises lots of families. The idea of the plus & premier fares are attractive to me. I like the no reservation shows, daily activities, some serious, some silly. Do I like everything Princess does? No. But the positives rule by a long shot. Princess provides a nice relaxing experience. Princess is class if you want class. But, you will not find passengers dressed to kill. It's more relaxed while still being classy. Suggest you follow some of the live threads. There is a current live from the Emerald Princess. There was also a very detailed live from the 14 day November Ruby Princess circle the Caribbean cruise.
  18. I don't see Baltimore in Princess' future. Takes too long to exit into the Atlantic. Can't reach very far south into the Caribbean tropics and warm weather which is probably one of the the primary reasons people go on cruise ships. Winter in the northeast is Caribbean cruise season. It's cold sailing from and to the home port at this time of year. Princess does not have many small ships., only two. Princess moves their ships in summer to more profitable locations like Europe, Alaska Australia, South America. If Princess ever decided to sail from the northeast in my opinion they would select NYC.
  19. OK Thanks. I'll watch for it at a later date.
  20. Has anyone tried to download the new app? When I looked at play store I only found the medallion app which I believe is the original app.
  21. Previous policy for specialty dining and specialty food items was that a 17% service charge was included in the cost. Now it will be additional and 18%. Princess is moving toward a non-tip system.
  22. Have you tried to log in to the Princess web site and then selected 'my account, 'cruises sailed?'
  23. No more cash gratuities for specialty dining for me.
