  1. I could be incorrect, but believe the insurance only covers travel from your home to the ship if you purchased that air travel through EZ Air.
  2. Journey View should show some of the on board activities, probably closer to actual sailing date. Activities and shows are walk in.
  3. If the OBC appears in your travel summary then you can use it to pre-book Princess excursions. OBC can not be used to pre--book anything else. Upgrades can only be done pre-cruise. I believe the cut off is three days before sailing. You can not use OBC. Here are the Princess FAQ I already purchased my cruise. Can I upgrade to either Princess Plus or Princess Premier (if I already have Princess Plus)? Absolutely! You can upgrade from Princess Standard to Princess Plus with only $50 per day or to Princess Premier with $75 per day. If you already have Princess Plus on your reservation, you can upgrade to Princess Premier with only $25 per day difference. You can do so in Cruise Personalizer, contact Princess via our Contact Center, or contact your Travel Advisor. Please note that you can only upgrade from Princess Plus to Princess Premier pre-cruise. Are Princess Plus and Princess Premier available for all stateroom types? Yes! Both Princess Plus and Princess Premier are available to ALL guests and ALL stateroom types. They are capacity controlled and only available pre-cruise https://www.princess.com/cruise-deals-promotions/plus-premier-cruise-packages/
  4. Marina deck balconies are only around 20 feet from skywalk views on the first three Royal class ships.
  5. Were these multiple cruises, example two 7 day cruises b2b, or was the cruise one 14 day cruise like a circle the Caribbean cruise? The former = two cruise credits. Check your Captain's Circle account. If you did not receive them then contact the Captain's Circle. If the latter then 1 cruise credit is correct.
  6. With the proper one, yes. Extra OBC, specialty dining or something like that. I'm not speaking about the pass throughs from Princess, but actual additional benefits.
  7. A cruise is all about quality and service. I would only feel annoyed if my call did not produce excellent service.
  8. My thought is that the accounting staff is also short handed. They just did not get around to completing all final billings as quickly as they did in the past.
  9. And when the door is open. The poster has not mentioned which ship. No real inward views through the glass decking on the last 3 Royal class ships. Princess corrected what they should have known from the start.
  10. Did you try to call room service to place your order rather than use the ocean now app?
  11. Maybe 10 or 10:30. If you arrive too early you could get mixed up in the shuffle with those disembarking which goes until around 10am. Usually hotel check out is around noon. Why not return the rental car after breakfast then take a cab to the pier. The cab ride is only about 15/20 minutes.
  12. The accounts are "closed" after each voyage. But, if you stay on board for the next voyage then the full net debit or credit balance including any refundable and non refundable OBC is carried forward and is shown as the first entries on the next voyage. Your credit card does not get charged until your final disembarkation.
  13. We did this years ago. On our 8 day tour we flew Sydney to Uluru, Uluru to Darwin, Darwin to Cairns, Cairns to Sydney to board the ship. All air fare was included as well as the hotels most breakfasts some lunches and dinners. The flights are long. We packed a regular large suitcase, and one carry on suitcase each. The large suitcase was given over to the tour staff in Sydney and was in our cabin when we boarded. We carried the small suitcase on the land portion.
  14. They do come shrink wrapped. Most of the time the shrink wrap is removed before supplies are placed into the cabins. I'm not certain if the shrink wrap occurs on shore before the supplies are loaded or if it is done on board. I do agree that if you want a coffee package or the bottle of wine you should be able to pre-select. With the proper program, which I don't believe Princess is capable of achieving now, it would be easy to place the coffee packages on the passenger's accounts. It would also be easy to supply the wine. For those with inclusive fares something other should be supplied. Pretty simple program. Does the passenger have an inclusive fare? If yes, is the passenger elite? If yes, select from the following options.
  15. The mini bars come pre-shrink wrapped. It would be difficult for staff to deliver 400+ mini bars if they had to specifically select and sort by cabin. With all the inclusive fares now it might be better to eliminate the mini bars for those who select the inclusive fares and provide maybe 2 specialty dining meals, a special lunch, upgrade the plus drink dollar amount from say $12 to $15, something like that. The only good elite benefits remaining are the priority tender service, and the best one laundry.
  16. No tokens. Tokens are for the self service laundry. Full suites receive laundry service. You place your laundry in a bag, or for jackets, dresses you place them on the bed. You complete the laundry ticket. If I remember correctly full suites receive next day service. The cabin steward picks it up during the morning or evening service, or you can page the steward. Items like pants, shorts, shirts, T shirts, are delivered back to the cabin on hangers and hung in the closet. Other items like socks, underwear will folded be in a bag. Tips. Take a photo of the laundry ticket. There is no limit on how many bags you can send, every day if you want. Hung laundry is returned on wire hangers. You could gather a closet full of empty wire hangers, we always do. Just take the empty hangers and place them on your bed or table and the steward will remove them, or you can just hang them on any cabin steward's cart handle.
  17. It is standard no matter the cabin category. Assuming they have the inventory it is 8 x 50ml spirts, 2 beers = 10 alcoholic beverages. Then 6 cans of soda, 2 club soda or Perrier, 2 still water = 10 non alcoholic beverages. Elites in full suites get two set ups per voyage.
  18. That is correct. No matter if you are counting days or cruise credits status does not change until you have completed the qualifying voyage. It is not how booked. It is credited by voyage. A single 28 day RT South Pacific voyage counts as a single cruise credit*, and it also counts as 28 days. A 14 day b2b booked as two 7 day cruises or a single 14 day cruise counts as 2 cruise credits* either way and 14 days. * 2 credits if in a full suite, 3 credits if in a full suite as a solo
  19. You may wish to pack your own detergent and dryer sheets, the kind you like. The supplies are available at an extra small charge. Irons are free.
  20. If you order a drink with a drink package the tip is automatically included. Is this correct ? Yes, correct. Also if you order a drink with the Medallion and the server walks a long way you should tip him additional and preferably in cash. Is this correct? It is up to you if you wish to provide an additional tip and if you wish to carry around cash. The service charge is already included in the delivery. If you do provide an additional tip cash is the way to go.
  21. Here is some information. On the first 3 Royal Class ships, Royal, Regal, Majestic, there are open views on the starboard side to the balconies on the first few decks below. A person standing on the skywalk looking inward toward the ship will have pretty direct views of the balconies, and on the Marina deck could actually see into the cabin somewhat if the balcony door is open. Those looking directly down through the glass flooring have a somewhat limited views of the balconies. On the port side there is the Seaview Bar which kind of limits the views. On the Sky, Enchanted and Discovery. the decking has been extended to the curve of the skywalk. This limits the inward views. You can only see directly down through the glass floor.
  22. Yes. After each segment if the person has enough days or cruise credits then they become elite. To make certain they receive laundry and other benefits they should speak with the Captain's Circle rep on board.
  23. Gratuity is $15.50/pp/day, for the two of you totals $31/day. One device is $10/day. If you pre-purchase and if you are Platinum loyalty level or higher it would be $5/day. Basically it turns out that around two to three alcoholic beverages/pp/day is the breakeven point. This assumes that you will be getting some specialty coffees and other non alcoholic beverages. If you have lots of OBC then it may not pay to take the plus fare.
