  1. Ohhh I'm not good at this. I once took a small hard sided suitcase with nothing But shoes!! And I wore ALLof them on a 7 night cruise!! August will be my first cruise since I broke my hip, femur, heel & ankle. Now heels are difficult because I can't put my weight on my ankle/ foot when it's on an angle. I'm a self proclaimed heel whore lol I refuse to wear flats with a dress. So guess I'll be suffering. I did find some lower heels ( not the stilettos I'm use to) and some chunky heels with a platform front so it's not a big angle. I'll probably have 2-3 pr heels, 2 flip flops & maaaaybe sneakers oh and a pair of sandles or 2 ... For a 7 night cruise in August
  2. Thank you!! I couldn't remember if there was an additional fee. And when I look up Johnny Rockets I just find a bunch of stuff about food. I'd just like an occasional milk shake but I'm not big on fast food.
  3. The exception is if you purchased the Key. That program let's you dropmoff your carry on and they take it to your room for you.
  4. We've had them in our cabin when we pre purchsed.
  5. When we tried to see what was outside the gated area we were met by armed guards that politely said believe me you do NOT want to be out here. Go back.
  6. With the Refreshment package are Johnny rockets milk shakes included? How about with a diamond coupon?
  7. Thanks everyone. We'll be on FOS in August. 11th cruise but first one in 3 yrs. I'm very excited. I can walk good. Just standing too long it starts to throb. It's been snowing all week here and today I'm feeling it lol. A nice young man blew a stop sign 3 yrs ago this coming July. Broke the top of my femur ( ball of the hip) snapped my femur clean in half & shattered my heel into pop corn and broke my subtalar joint ( part of the ankle that lets your foot move sideways) in 4 places. Now I have 2 screws in my hip , 2 in the top of my leg ( right below the ball) a rod in my femur ,2 screws above my knee and a plate with 13 screws in the side of my foot holding my heel together. They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger🤣
  8. Not to be rude but I don't care for opinions on whether or not you feel it's worth it. Just need facts about: What time do they allow KEY holders to get on the ship? We'll be staying near the cruise port the night before. What time does The KEY lunch start? We will be on FOS in August. I already purchased it and feel with me having had my leg put back together from hip to foot 3 yrs ago it will be worth it for us. Hubby has had his knee replaced but needs more work (over 30 years of tower working lol). So for us in our later 50's and having had some "work done" it'll be nice just for easy on easy off and the nice relaxed lunch to start. Thank you for any help.
  9. With 2 teens lol you're definitely going to want 2 bathrooms if nothing else. Been there done that. Get them their own room. Just have a long talk about rules and expectations. That's what we did and it was a more enjoyable cruise. Plus haha they didn't keep us up all night talking.
  10. Hahaha I could do another whole 7 night cruise for the price of the cabana. But I'm sure their are people with different priorities. I don't make enough money to throw it away lol.
  11. I am a proud over packer. We fly southwest so we don't pay extra for bags. I Don't wear the same thing twice in a week at home and don't want to on a cruise. I bring extra and there has been plenty of times when I've spilled something or someone else has lop and I have enough to go get changed. I don't and won't do a capsule wardrobe just not for me. And yes I've come to the rescue many times with my over packing lol.
  12. I wish they would change them more often. We only cruise once every few years but it's sad when you go and it's the same show after 3 yrs
  13. Wow now it's just a miracle. Thank God these men ( and dog) were spotted and rescued. I can't imagine how they felt or worse yet how their families felt. Glad it has a happy ending!
  14. It's just frustrating when you finally make it that level and then there is no diamond lounge or different things. We can't afford to sail multiple times a year or even once a year for that matter. So we cruise when we can since 2006 and finally made diamond. No big deal to pinnacles lol but I bet it was when they were working their way up there. Or will be when they make a new top tier🤷
  15. I've just been reading a lot of comments of places that are now for above diamond. Good to know it's not true.
  16. I totally understand. We just made diamond. But now half the places that were diamond exclusive are being turned into places for above diamond. This August will be our first cruise as Diamond and I was really excited but everything I'm reading is they've made diamond almost equivalent to gold.
  17. Haha it's not that bad. Easy to control but also easy for a person to want to go faster than they can control. I was fine but there was a guy in my broken heel group that did turn while going too fast and landed on his ass. But first he tried to break his fall with his bad foot🤢.
  18. I always wear a full length gown and hubby wears a suit and tie. He would wear a tux but doesn't own one. But he does have some VERY nice suits. Best part of cruising is seeing him in a suit!
  19. Ugg we have. A family had them and constantly they were stalking. The mom thought she had to yell every time she spoke into it. Every one was shaking their heads after a while.
  20. Nope I have such a low tolerance I can't take gummies they knock me out ...even1/2 of one puts me to sleep. I tried a few different ones. I have touretts syndrome and was hoping to find something to help my tics.
  21. Yes. I got the key for $21.99 a day, the classic soda pkg for $8 a day and the Refreshment for $29.99 a day. So I was good with those prices. Neither of us drink alcohol plus we are diamond now so I can use our daily drink coupons for fresh Oj and any water or virgin drinks I may want.
  22. Right now on our freedom cruise in August some of the cabanas on the water are going for literally MORE than we paid for the entire 7night cruise in a JS. I guess some people make more money than they know what to do with. And there will always be people who love to brag about how much they spent. I person think it's foolish. I can see a better restaurant if that's your thing, or the drink package if that's your thing but spending thousands extra is insane to a people like us who work our butts off to make a living. I did get the key to try but got it super cheap. And we got a classic soda and a Refreshment package. To each their own but as long as crazy people spend crazy money the cruise companies will continue to increase those prices.
  23. This is exactly why I pick the cabin we want in the location we want at a price we can afford. In August we will be on Freedom in a JS on the hump. I wouldn't upgrade because I specifically want that location. Unless I got a GS that was also a good location but it would have to be a very low upgrade price lol.
  24. I tried one in a store didn't like it. I did have a wheel chair to go out shopping. But the knee scooter was the best for me. I was in a car accident and broke my hip, femur and shattered my heel. The heel is the thing that made me not be allowed to walk. I had to stay off it COMPLETELY like not even let it TOUCH the floor for 3 months. So the bones would adhere to the plate. If I put pressure on it I could have shifted the plate. Uggg worse experience ever lol.
