It's a super long shot but I hope we don't go here in August. I don't want the people of Haiti to suffer...I just want to go to a better port lol. But when I booked, the cruise was at a date I could go and a price I could afford 🙃

We don't drink alcohol so I'm using mine in August for milkshakes and fresh Oj things like that. So all I purchased was a soda package for me and a Refreshment pkg for hubby. I'll use all 8 diamond coupons 😅

Because these people have no food and there are people walking around eating buffet with money on their pockets. When you have nothing you'll do alot for a little.

It would depend on the event. If the grid goes down, credit cards won't matter. And refunds wouldn't be able to be given. They would probably get you to the nearest safe port. But if it were another kind of event who knows. They would probably get as close to the port the cruise was supposed to end at.

I always figure I could worry about every what if...or I could just live my life. Seriously you can't prepare if you don't know what kind of "event" it would be and definitely not on vacation. I'd look into good insurance but other than that if it's a real crisis like the grid goes down the last thing you'll be worried about is a cruise.

Exactly. I feel as though they have a responsibility to warn me of things that they know of as in hey there is a travel advisory for this area. But not hey here is a list of everything that could possibly go wrong in every place you go. Some things have to be chalked up as use your own sense. Pretty soon you'll have to sign a disclaimer every time you leave the ship. It's sad anytime there is an accident but you can't sue over every bad decision you make that goes ..well...bad.

Wow and I thought I got taken for a ride. Only reason I even had a lawyer is because when I was in the hospital a family member contacted a lawyer. I wouldn't even known to do that. I was in too bad of shape to think about it.

I thought if you weren't in need of an accessible cabin you either couldn't book it OR they would bump you to another cabin if they had a request for it.

It's not about the family. The lawyers get a huge percentage of the settlement. I got in a car accident, a 26 yr old went through a stop sign from a side road and slammed into my truck pushing me off the road. I broke my hip,femur, and shattered my heel. 3 surgeries, 9 months to be able to walk. I got a settlement but the lawyer took 33.3%. It wasn't a big settlement but dang he took a lot of it. So it's about how much the lawyers can make. For me i was left with enough to buy a used car ...couldn't even afford to replace what I had.

I think it's people like me who have been cruising for many years that remember much better food. The kind you got excited about. It's not that the food now is horrible. It's that when you compare it to what use to be served It's very disappointing!

We pre pay tips and feel that is enough. If someone goes over and above ( as in goes out of their way to help us with something) then we'll thank them with a tip. But I'm not giving a tip for every drink in my package that I was already charged a gratuity fee for when I purchased it.

The Refreshment package also includes fancy coffee. Just not from a stand alone starbucks.

Those beds are so low he'd have been participating cause he'd be getting smacked in the head a whole bunch😆

That would have had to be one tiny person! And how would he see the shower even IF he could get under there. It's not like a typical bed where you could lay there and look out🤣🤦‍♀️

But it's the same as going shopping and making a purchase. Then a month later it goes on sale for a much better price. You can't go demand they give you the better price. Also same as the entire cruise. I booked a year out. Now the same cruise same category is almost double. They're not going to give anyone who books now the price they saw a yr ago.

I'll just make sure to Dance around naked and give a good show. That'll teach them! They'll be blind in one eye and won't be able to see out of the other😅

Just make sure he knows they will still charge him per day. And he'll just have to pay when he pays his tab at the end of the cruise. Not sure you can simply not pay any gratuities for cabin. Don't have to pay extras but I think there are ones that do have to be paid. Silly they should stop calling it gratuities.

Sadly we can only cruise in the summer because of my job. I might as well be cruising the halls of my school🤣 We have done a cruise in Feb but we felt more rushed because I only had off for a long weekend.

I'd hate to be rushed. We take longer than an hour to eat at home. It's our time to unwind and enjoy. Plus my husband eats very slowly. We've always enjoyed the relaxed slower timing of the MDR.

I once took a small suit case that was all shoes. I wore heels every night and I wanted a pair for each dress. And Sandles and flip flops for the day. Plus swim shoes. Plus the sneakers I wore. It was a 7 night. This coming August will be more difficult as I can no longer wear high heels because of a plate in my foot. But I still am packing black platform heels, silver& nude( I found if it is a block heel and has a bit of a platform in the front I can get away with it). Off white wedge sandles, flate white sandles , 2 pr fip flops and water shoes😁. I like variety plus if one pair gives me a blister I can change. If you think that's over kill you should see the clothes😆

If you wait too long you may find you can not add the 4th person. It goes by life boat space. So say you book 3. Then the cruise starts filling up. Once your muster station is full you can't add that 4th person. It has happened to a few people that have come here to complain about it. I'd book with 4 and change the name later just to hold the space.

I thought I was the only one that felt this way.
