  1. See? I knew there were more than just alpha males, there are alpha gals.
  2. The aft pool on lido is quieter and less busy.
  3. Yes, and I was joking to carry your facetiousness along for effect.
  4. They'd have gnawed through a hamper. You can't win with them.
  5. I agree with the OP and you, Carnival IT leaves a lot to be desired. It started going downhill when they closed the IT department in Miami and outsourced the operation overseas. The irony of the overseas aspect isn't lost on me.
  6. EcoLab products for businesses ran an article with their cruise line customers in mind recently, after the re-start of cruising. There is a Carnival connection if you look at the cover photo here but all mass market lines are required to practice rodent prevention. https://www.ecoclearproducts.com/blogs/news/rats-on-your-cruise-ship
  7. Not so. I received one final payment due reminder two weeks prior to the date and a second one, one week before the due date for my cruise this November.
  8. No, not a menu per se. See the hostess aboard Panorama in the dining room you are assigned to for assistance. Carnival has been preparing low sodium meals on request for decades. Panorama is a fine ship. Have fun
  9. You're welcome, and you'll read there Carnival's statement that tells the City of Norfolk that Carnival is considering their options if the city doesn't get a handle on this. Having attending school there for 4 years, Norfolk will never be on my travel radar.
  10. Norfolk has seen cruise ships port there for decades on an irregular/occasional basis and still doesn't have a secure parking lot for guests who drive to the port. This story covers the "suggested" parking lot by Carnival in Norfolk: https://www.wavy.com/news/local-news/norfolk/cruise-passengers-expected-to-pay-for-repairs-to-vehicles-broken-into-at-norfolk-parking-lot/
  11. Because it happens and people should be able to make informed decisions.
  12. Even when local laws don't preclude the option you are considering OP, be sure to take your passports and meds. with you for your overnight in town. Often the wind kicks up in Cabo preventing the ship from entering the harbor safely the next morning. This causes the second port day to cancel. You'll need your passport books, not card, to book a flight home from Cabo.
  13. Hopefully the Executive Chef will be able to share with you the return date of the petite filet mignon to the brunch menu. 😉 Thanks, Fred for the helpful sugar substitute information for the cakes.
  14. That's the way we've seen it operated on Panorama. The inside Havana Lounge is used for karaoke so the indoor bar is necessary for all access.
  15. Yes, and those "gift" cookies wind up costing the average gambler $25 per cookie 😉
  16. You will meet together at a designated place and go ashore as a group and be shepherded through to re-boarding. A group photo is customary and sometimes sparkling wine is offered in flute glasses.
  17. The Australian market asked for this feature and will likely cross over to the North American market.
  18. Yes, the strip loin should be replaced.
  19. You don't eat soft boiled eggs. Nothing boujie. I'm British American and it's how we roll. Egg cups carefully cradle boiled eggs, holding them in place for easier eating with less mess. The classic design of the Double Egg Cup elevates the egg and adds stability for easier handling. Your ethnocentricity doesn't become you.
  20. Cans will pass security but not bottles. One can per guest.
  21. See above edit for Port Day Breakfast Menu " The Side Board" suggestion for warm, lean pastrami and eggs. Not the filet but quite good and different for breakfast.
  22. I would tell people that were new to Carnival it was the best piece of beef included in their cruise fare. Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut and we'd still have the petite filet mignon at Brunch. I will say though the Port Day Breakfast Menu offers the Side Board that comes with thin, lean pastrami deli slices served with toasted sourdough and soft boiled eggs. I order a side of hominy grits and I'm happy. I do wish Carnival would go back to serving boiled eggs in ceramic egg cups that hold the egg upright. Here you can see I travel with my own egg cup.
