  1. Not correct. We rent alcoves and are in swim suites. If we go inside we wear cover ups. This is daytime dress and never had an issue.
  2. We have done a side by side from Celebrity to Royal. First time took a cab. Second time celebrity let us use their bus. However the bus went first to the airport then back to drop us off at the terminal. No big deal as we had time to kill and it was free. Of course we gave the driver a nice tip. A third time, the porter took us across the parking garage with all of our luggage, then we got to the terminal It was a long walk! again, another nice tip! Recommend a taxi.
  3. We have sailed on both but many more Royal cruises. We found on NCL if you aren't sailing in the Haven, not a good cruise. The ships IMO are poorly designed. Crowds everywhere and the pool is so small for non Haven guests. People were lying on towels on the pool deck as not enough chairs or room. Food not great- even in Have. Regular cabins seemed very small. Perhaps the newer ships are better designed, but I think I will continue to sail on Celebrity and Royal.
  4. Omg. That is so cheesy. I believe since the useless rocking chairs were removed from the sky suites, you have a table. We enjoy breakfast on the balcony. However now no table cloth. No longer elegant. Miss those breakfasts
  5. We enjoyed Grease- very entertaining- People will find fault with Mamma Mia, Chicago etc. Can't please everyone- We have been on the Oasis many times and do not like cats. Didn't like it on broadway either. So many shows that Royal can do- that would entertain it's return guests. Time for a change. Fares have increased so much, surely Royal can invest in new shows every three years.
  6. That is your claustrophobia- but small confined places not for me. We enjoy breakfast on our balcony, lots of closet and drawer space and at least one large bathroom, with storage. We love our private time in our suite and while we enjoy the entire ship, love time in our suite during the day- For us, not just for sleeping. In the summer, our cruise port is about one hour and 15 minutes from our home. We also enjoy a extra day or two at different ports that we might fly into. Different strokes for different folks as they say. Enjoy your cruises.
  7. I also miss Bistro on Five. We do not eat sushi and had a tradition of eating lunch at Bistro on boarding day.
  8. We really loved the finest resort in playa mujeres Mexico. The excellence half is adult and finest half family. We were very satsfied. We only sail in suites. Too clostrphobic for me in a small cabin
  9. We always stay in a suite on a cruise. At all inclusive hotels not only is all food paid for but alcohol. In rooms they supply drinks and snacks. We have free unlimited room service. The rooms are huge with marble floors a huge bathrooms. If you take a tiny cabin on a cruise ship and include wiifi and alcohol expensive. We enjoy cruising, and hopefully we will continue to. But will augment with AI resorts, especially in playa mujeres mexico
  10. It isn't listed on our entertainment listing. No headliner show. I asked the suite concierge and haven't gotten a response.
  11. No headliner show listed for 8/13 oasis
  12. I am not worried about the few dollars more for the hardworking staff, but the price of the cruise is now obscene. So sad that they are pricing many people out of cruising. We went to a wonderful, truly all inclusive resort in cancun recently which was a bargain compared to our upcoming cruise. We do like to sail in a suite- but entry level- the perks do not compare to a 5 star AI. resort. For now, we will continue to do both.
  13. We found some of the merchants on Labadee were very aggressive- Was annoying, but didn't feel unsafe. Also not nearly as nice as cococay.
  14. What days and times was the headliner show available? We are on the Oasis next week and I was curious. Thanks
  15. Reserved all but headliners show- any person who has recently cruised know what dates and times this show will be available? will move other shows to see this one- not a fan of cats and can scratch that show if necessary.
  16. We are on the oasis next week. Booked all except headliner show. What days/times are the shows offered? Thanks
  17. Love that port! Hope you have access to the Beach Club ! Service, ambiance and food 5 stars.
  18. We are early birds and I suggest arriving at the windjammer early. Also, Johnny Rockets serves breakfast both indoors and outdoors and is accessible. A nice change from the MDR. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.
  19. Since Mariner is an older ship- you do not have a suite restaurant or true suite deck- if the suite lounge is like the adventure- so not worth it- you can only have breakfast in specialty restaurant- I would keep JR suite and book specialty restaurants. Junior suite a good sized cabin
  20. We love the Oasis, especially in a suite. However, why not try the ICON? We have both booked- ICON next March- Oasis next week!
  21. Have a ball! Happy anniversary. We are on the next Oasis cruise in a crown loft. Booked over a year ago so the prices were better. We will be celebrating our 20th anniversary on this cruise. Enjoy!
  22. Many places to eat- all free, except the Beach Club. For reserved guests only. It is a waiter service sit down meal.
