Constellation veranda vs Aqua class cabin
Cruise a holic replied to georgiacat's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Having had both regular balcony and AQ, didn't realize AQ cabins were larger. Thought the same size. Not a huge fan of blu, or themal suites. For us not worth it- They had smelly atomizers in the room which we immediately asked to be removed. We do not use yoga mats. Blu, while tables for two available- they are really small tables a few inches apart from each so not at all private. We had strangers voicing their opinions when we were having private conversations. IMO not worth the additional charge. On a few ships, the cabins were poorly located also- a great gimmick. IMO better to get a well located balcony cabin, mid ship with cabins above and below. Dine with your savings in a few speciality restaurants. Enjoy your cruise. -
We loved Eden! My favorite! Fine cut #2. Enjoy

Alcohol package, wait time between drinks ?

This isn't Carnival. No rule -
Have gone on a few Disney cruises- no more- great if you have little children as they will also be screaming and running around. Found main areas very noisy. Not a restful dinner in the main dining rooms. Expensive to see people dressed in costumes- but little kiddies enjoy- Nothing really special about the cruise ships. Plus found the ships extremely expensive for a decent cabin or suite. We really enjoy RC Oasis class and will be trying the Icon next spring. Booked when they opened up bookings- but yes expensive as we like suites. Probably will stick to Oasis class and Celebrity Edge and S class ships going foward- As we enjoy adult only pools and special adult only areas.

We can agree to disagree- no comparison IMO to Luminae. The suite lounge on the Edge- even better on the Apex- and Beyond are fabulous. Also the suite deck is so worth the upgrade! So many perks for the suite guests even entry level. I think the AQ perks overall aren't worth it IMO.

Haven't sailed in Aqua class in a few years. However now the additional cost above balcony IMO not worth it- would rather get well located balcony cabin and dine nightly in Speciality restaurants. Blu ambiance better then MDR. Enjoy your cruise.

FLL Ship to Airport Transfer Timing
Cruise a holic replied to Sweetiepie3's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I would cancel the transfers. The bus makes many stops at various terminals- loading and unloading many passengers luggage and the passengers. Takes long and to me stressful. I would also call an uber- or lyft- they are all over the terminal and come quickly. -
We love Royal and Celebrity. However prices are getting insane- we enjoy sailing in a suite on both and will not be able to sail on four cruises a year. Cutting down to three or two- and soon will no longer be able to sail in a suite on either. While the passengers might be loyal to Royal- Royal isn't loyal to it's passengers.

The rooftop garden on the edge class ships not nearly as nice as the Lawn Club Grill. Location poor people just walking through the restaurant as if it is a main walkway- so disturbing. Also we found service at the rooftop garden not nearly as good as the Lawn club grill. Food was good however.

Oh yes. Our favorite speciality restaurant on the Silhouette and Reflection. We enjoy the great dinner menu. Lunch menu not the same. We book a package and go at least twice for dinner- enjoy.

just before the pandemic, we got beautiful thick monogrammed bath robes to take home. Our last royal suite on the equinox we got nothing. So who knows. I probably should have immediately asked but got nothing.

We really enjoy the celebrity ships. The edge class ships are truly beautiful. On the M and S class ships, we find the entertainment poor to ok- and if not happy walk up after a few minutes. For entertainment, the Oasis Royal ships win hands down. We also have a celebrity Silhouette cruise booked for Jan. The Lawn club grill is a wonderful spot for a great, fresh dinner. We also enjoyed Murano's and le petite chef. Each ship has it charm. Enjoy cruising!

RoyalUP? (Bid for stateroom upgrade)
Cruise a holic replied to John&LaLa's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Then that would be fine. We bid and got a Jr. Suite. Since the Liberty doesn't have a coastal kitchen or true suite sun deck and lounge like the Oasis class ships a really nice large cabin. Enjoy. -

What probably will happen bassed on my experience, those in the Jr. suites will bid up and get the grand suites and you will probably get a Jr. Suite. However I wish you good luck! -
Grand suite dining room question
Cruise a holic replied to lisad63's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Not easy to book dinner in coastal kitchen if you are in a Junior suite. It is based on "availability". If you eat when the restaurant opens, possible. But probably not daily. I would suggest you consider booking a few specialty restaurants or if you budget can swing it, a grand suite.
