  1. You might think about taking bonine (or whatever) every day since it takes a while to work...might help, and I don't think you're seeing the last of a lot of motion.
  2. Wow. So sorry. Glad this is a long vacation for you and hope you have lots of good days ahead.
  3. I would guess most will pick the first ship they sailed on. That first cruise is such an amazing experience, nothing ever really tops it.
  4. Here's what I saw regarding the cabin mate "A statement from the cruise line, however, said his cabin mate actually last saw him around 7 a.m. “around the time the debarkation of guests was beginning.” https://www.local10.com/news/local/2023/09/07/coast-guard-suspends-search-off-miami-for-missing-carnival-cruise-ship-passenger/ Whole thing is really weird! Reminds me of a long ago story about a young woman who went missing from a ship and was never found.
  5. I'd love to know why. Over the 18 years or so we've been visiting HMC it has become less of a draw to us. The ships got bigger making it so much more crowded, the cabanas steadily increased in price to the point of not worth it for us. We had our last cabana a few months ago. HMC is just No longer on my radar. Kinda sad.
  6. We live about 15 minutes from Port Canaveral. We no longer cruise out of any other port. Reading things like Saint Greg's difficulties only reinforces our choice LOL.
  7. You might have to resort to the cabin phone. I think it's still $1.99 a minute.
  8. It would be so much cheaper to book your own flight from NY that would guarantee you made it to your embarkation in Port Canaveral than to Aruba. Is there a reason this is not an option?
  9. I hear you! living in Florida and leaving home during a hurricane or potential storm is always nerve wracking and is hard to do. It doesn't help that forecasting is...well...not reliable. Definitely safer on the ship, but that worry about home is difficult. Look at as evacuation without the traffic, that might help.
  10. They were on my Mardi Gras cruise, I think they same folks. Friendly and fun to see.
  11. At least you are closer to home. You've got to be exhausted and a bit irritable,
  12. Does NCL figure this out for you, or do you fend for yourself?
