  1. When was this and are you talking bar drinks? We've been in a DOS on Escape back in 2018 and first words from butler was he could not bring drinks under drink package to room.
  2. As noted, no, only for charge. One trip first words out from butler.
  3. They continue to throw crazy prices to see what sticks. I don't follow prices enough to see if sold late or early. We typically book early with vacation requests. Epic Haven nearly double what I already considered high. Those are even off season. For that I can go elsewhere on a b2b which I have eyes on. I've pondered taking vacation block and see what happens, shall we stay or go, but like to pick room. Doing land based Hawaii in March with all back up plant watering in place. Dogs passed and DD's pooch just moved out, hopefully on temp basis. April for you coming up quick, test grow ops and Station Zebra to be at the ready.
  4. Usually the waiting in line either side longer than actual transit. Transit like 10 minutes.
  5. I see I should have written 'Silence' instead of 'Silent' referring to the butterfly picture. It sounds like you had same issues as us with creaky room. Never more than moderate sea states yet room creaked like never before. We were up high and aft. Seemed to be up in ceiling and corners.
  6. We sailed Prima on TA and the weather was cloudy, cool, some mist. Vibe, rarely saw it open over 11 days. Well, maybe once saw a bartender.
  7. Things vary by ship. Even by who is running things. We've had the go to GS to get something fixed with the restaurant manager having to come to say written policy not the policy.
  8. I haven't tracked future sailings out of NYC but it seems like they are doing more ships there but for shorter stints based on recent few years. Used to be like Dawn first go around for long time with winter sail guarantee. Then next new ship. Rinse and repeat. Terminal too small for latest ships. I don't see them leaving. Huge market but so was China. Typically higher prices. Logistics probably a pain and high cost that is why you see lots of loading in PC. Speaking of which, we did the normal Florida Bahamas route on Spirit in six days with long Port times before shops slowed about 2015. We sailed MSC and saw trucks in two Canadian ports. Told drove from Florida.
  9. We use a large TA through a Military site who gives money off. Not as good as pre shutdown, but something. Not a group booking deal.
  10. Local like next city over? In US it used to be like Miami or Phoenix.
  11. We sailed RT San Pedro mid 80s. Other than the normal baked Alaska, eel was an option for dinner.
  12. I don't ever recall you saying you had the 'Silent of The Lambs' room.
  13. It will be interesting to hear your thoughts on BA. If you thought the OS shower was tight, don't book anything less than a suite.
  14. The OS on Jewel class had a separate tub and shower. They were not connected but adjacent. I've only seen a few updates over the years on the various ships, including Dawn class as the OS are nearly identical except Dawn class has glass door vs curtain between main bed and living room. I'll have to do some checking. The one thing I recall after refurbs long time ago is they yanked the TV above the tub.
  15. We did Newlywed on RCCL long time ago as we were just married. Don't recall getting anything. First and last RCCL due to numerous reasons.
  16. I'm sure MKing will get back to you promptly. It is mid day Sunday so he is probably having lunch out and will be posting said pictures of lunch in NYC. He might also be watering plants or watching harbor cams.
  17. For us they had diet coke, coke zero, sprite zero. One breakfast asked for coke zero in Haven. Asked if I wanted can or tap. Said can. Told can is a charge even with package.
  18. Maybe the newest ship gets the newest terminal. For your convenience, of course.
  19. Looks like from quick web search Jean Ann Ryan still doing shows. How about trying them?
  20. I also went to spelling bee in fourth or fifth grade. Could not sleep all night. First word to me was 'contemporary'. I botched it even asking for use in a sentence 'what will the contemporary cruiser look like in 2024'. I guess our two kids fall into millennial bracket. Unless we are paying and they have time off, a cruise is not on top of list of things to do. Their friends, neither. At work, only three of us out of a few hundred cruise. One old fart like me, one 40ish. I get very few requests from anyone about cruises. Once in awhile DW will have a co-worker ask. Her sister just sailed BA and said never again. To top it off, she got Corona a week after getting home. I can't give any fair input though as lately we've been sailing off season on longer trips so it has been mostly old farts like us. I will say it does seem like more non US folks though.
  21. I want to say at one time they had a listing per category as to what each got. Over time the categories got messed with on various ships even with POA super odd. I was worried our H5 OS on Prima would not get them plus the soda and water but we did. Good question though as that room sleeps same or more, depending on ship as a GV. But it isn't a H1.
  22. GV has been six for as long as I can remember. As much as they are charging for the GVs these days they should have a fully stocked bar.
  23. And all the non orange not usable if bad weather. The port side orange was fine and never too crowded on our trip except bar pretty busy. Restaurant has two parts and tons of room. I got the feeling our TA was unusual though as we'd see some folks in the hallway but we never saw them in the lounge or restaurant. The elevators were a nice addition to quickly get around.
  24. We've seen numerous times where they have raised prices only to have sale. Of course, no different than on land, caveat emptor. We didn't buy anything on Prima from shops. Didn't have any extra obc, prices online or warehouse club better.
