  1. If you don't have any seasickness issues, I'd book an inside on 12. They are much newer added around 2011. Quiet area, close to pool, buffet, one deck up to bar and front deck area.
  2. we've sailed in those OS several times. There is also a side balcony, room huge. But at +40 percent, no unless more than two people.
  3. It sounds like Arthur is now YC maitre d so things should be pretty good on Mera.
  4. As a Rueben aficionado, note that some use corned beef and some use pastrami. When we sailed Prima menu said pastrami but whatever it was, it was pretty good sandwich.
  5. Our only point of reference is POA after drydock and spa was going to be worked on for 30-45 days after drydock.
  6. What day and time will you be picking us up and you can mark us down for two bags and two carryons?
  7. Just some general info. Verizon used to sell a plan for Cell at Sea but it is long gone and now Ala carte. POA does not have cell at sea if someone doing Hawaii.
  8. Ready - hope MSC works for you. We sailed YC eight times and would say except for last food was pretty good. October we sailed 11 nights and walked out of YC restaurant twice and skipped it another couple. My go to filet was rubber on six of eight I tried. Hola's was good as was BC. Buffet was o.k. but they ran out of some stuff like lettuce.
  9. If a recession, prices may drop but I can't really recall service or food getting better during such times.
  10. As per pp, e.g. on Gem an OS on 9 or 10 would get you into the tiny Haven pool area but on these trips it is noted they don't.
  11. Right, not a lot of discussion about POA entertainment as a lot of folks tired from busy day on land. Note the buffet has a stone oven that makes some good pizza. It is port side in the front as you walk from the bar aft.
  12. We've had new numbers assigned several times, luckily all fixed automatically with email notice. Our DD got stiffed when they changed rules years ago and no help or fix despite numerous contacts.
  13. I don't think they can get rid of the strawberries unless they come up with replacement to send to room for service miscues.
  14. There are only 13 H5 on Prima. A couple have two doors to bathroom, a couple at the back have a bigger balcony. We spent 12 days way back and would have to check where DW did hair. More important is getting all six shower operation stations to work at once which is doable.
  15. Welcome to CC too. Probably best to do separate thread as POA unique ship and entertainment. Sky, other than being Pride of Aloha in mid 2000s for a few years, will not be like POA for activities.
  16. Maybe to simplify they should label 'hair' 'face' 'rest of your junk. Definitely going heavy on the Revive.
  17. Welcome to CC. Lots of new folks in the new year.
  18. They actually used to have up to that much obc in the day, even into the fdr years. Last few years, not really seen much.
  19. It's like buying a car in the 70's or 80's.
  20. So I guess the back of the house ops not being supportive of the Frontline staff is acceptable. This acceptance has sailed and sustained for years.
  21. Welcome to CC. Note GA Haven does not have a roof over pool area. Answers to many of your questions will vary wildly ship to ship and even room to room.
  22. They open between sailings to power wash. If they happen to leave unlocked after cleaning, maybe, but not likely. Normal policy for years is to keep locked.
  23. There are. I avoid the sun and there are some trees for sure as you walk past the food areas. We just sat on beach, no chairs. I did have something very small bite my legs though.
