  1. We've booked all trips through USAA and unless something changed recently, we could bid on sold out categories on NCL for trip Sept 2022 and several MSC since restart.
  2. Can't go wrong with the GV other than maybe cost.
  3. If you think Spirt buffet is small, don't sail Sky or Sun. Spirit buffet actually innovative for the time. Pretty big, spread out for a ship at that time. Things like action stations.
  4. Sailed Mera four times. Never found issues with sound.
  5. From reports, Arthur was a MDR Maitre D for a period of time after we saw him on first Divinia trip on a Sea class ship.
  6. Saw that too. Can't swing it from work. Prima TA also has entry level Haven for 15 days cheap.
  7. Having been through this awhile ago, MKing has it right. Discount is off some base fare. I did a spreadsheet at the time with numerous scenarios even got detailed invoice from TA for affected trip. Discount was close, but not exact, to lowest discount scenario. When we booked new trip, just made TA aware and they took care of it.
  8. We had Arthur's as waiter on Divinia back in 2016. He was Maitre D on Divinia late 2021. Also had the fabulous Kulnal as waiter. What an outstanding combo. Don't recall if we ever saw him on one our Seaside sailings but never on Mera.
  9. Has to be. Unfortunately we aren't booked this year but we did sail last February..
  10. Real Champagne, more likely not. They have been cheaping out on that for years. As far as configs, main diff the last four have bump out balcony. There was some pics of one that has two bathroom entrances.
  11. Welcome to CC. There was a regular here who used to do the same. We've never done but can only relate what has been posted here. That loophole was stopped around 8 years ago as reported by several folks. Would a concierge allow kids in Haven in your situation being so young, who knows. Other than being aft, why not just book a 2br?
  12. So I guess listing perks and said perks can't or won't be delivered is acceptable to some. Really not big staffing issue. Tours have been drifting to early a.m. CN person maybe taken from selling certs. One security guard and since early, not much going on. Rest of staff doing their job and usually excited to see tours.
  13. Good that things went well. Wasn't always the case. We sailed Gem in Haven. Driving in early backed way up with two ships. One long line to go through security exceeding the covered area outside. Haven area small area in main building. Then Epic came. They botched the first year, first part of next, then got things going well including separate Haven lines at some point.
  14. You are correct. There are at least five other threads on this subject. Been over a week so probably ten pages back. For us, around 50 days.
  15. Compared to freezer, yes. One odd thing is they put corn in the egg drop soup.
  16. That is unacceptable they did not get you the free one if you went first day.
  17. Imo, from what I've seen and felt is they want to have a set number of Haven staff and that was reduced under FDR over the years. I'm sure one poster will want proof or charts. Sorry, I don't have any but I certainly have actually sailed Haven enough and gotten feedback from staff of that happening corroborated by years of reports of varying levels of service even from the same staff but different room. Also, when FAS first came out, Haven got it for free. They obviously took the opportunity to capitalize on charging. If they are able to continually raise prices, charge higher dsc, etc., good for them, not for me.
  18. For what they are charging, especially these days, they need to be looking at ways to enhance the experience.
  19. I'd agree with GG. The OS on 10 are very nice with two balconies, huge bedroom, huge bathroom, dining nook, powder room. Depending where you are sailing, the DOS on 12 are very nice. Right, no balcony. Two configs. The inner sleep six with tiny living room. Outer huge everything with wing over side. Public outside deck one floor up. Pool down the hall.
  20. Disembarkation, yes. Other than first day getting on the ship have never had priority back on ship.
  21. OP, we too sailed Escape DOS in 2018. Us and two kids. Nice room with inside type cabin for DD and DS used big foldout in living room. Pretty good experience. Couple years prior sailed BA in H2. While master bed and bath nice, the leaky noise movable wall between h2 & 3 is not good. Find something else no matter where. Overall not a fan of BA and even less of GA.
  22. TBH, he did say ...'my name is X'... followed by he can't bring drinks to room.
  23. When was this and are you talking bar drinks? We've been in a DOS on Escape back in 2018 and first words from butler was he could not bring drinks under drink package to room.
