  1. On several of the classes, the perks are automatically included. "All Included". These perks are a classic beverage package, basic internet and tips. It seems you are looking for a class that does not include these amenities when you book. You should compare the costs as you may be surprised how little you may actually save. The free dining options also include the Mast Grill (burgers and hot dogs) and the Spa Cafe (light and healthier fare), The Edge class ships have 4 different main dining rooms. Each one serves a different style menu. You can use any of these. Aqua and Retreat class guests have a dedicated dining area. If you want to try a Specialty Restaurant, book early as they often fill up quickly. If you do cancel and rebook, you will be subject to the new pricing and perks that are available at that time. Not what you had originally booked.
  2. I had 3 devices and used one plan. When I signed on one device, it would disconnect from the other device. Only one could be active at any one time. So when one was active, the other two could not be used.
  3. In comparison to Royal Caribbean which has high energy at night. Celebrity is more sedate. There are shows in the theater each night. There is a Silent Disco on a couple of nights, live music and some dance parties. Equinox has a relaxing atmosphere but it is by no means a party ship catering to her age group.
  4. I had spoken with the maitre d' and mentioned that this group should have been placed in the rear of the restaurant rather than having a prime dining location reserved, especially when only 6 ut of the 10 were there at the reservation time. Although there were no reservations, he said it was being made available for this group. I mentioned his name in my review. And guess what, he was in charge of Blu on our next cruise on a different ship! He remembered me...
  5. We usually do not have any such experiences. We are pleased with Blu. However, on Solstice, they reserved a group of tables for 10 cruisers which started from the windows. These 5 tables were empty until around 6:45 pm when the individuals began to show. Most nights, there were about 6 out of the 10 dining there. We were told they were "reserved".
  6. There were no discounts once on board. In fact, reservations were difficult to obtain on the ship. There was a pre-cruise sale which amounted to 8%. We made individual reservations so we could have the days and times we desired which is not available with the package.
  7. On our cruise on Beyond, it was played from 12:30 to 4 pm on 3 days. On the other days, movies and Garden Games were played.
  8. I believe you will enjoy Celebrity. Not so sure for your daughter as there are very few teens on Celebrity. That was even the case during a recent school vacation break. Royal Caribbean may be continue to be a better choice for your family.
  9. There is a shade that is controlled by a button on the wall in which you can adjust the height. Room is dark if full extended.
  10. You should ask for the always available menu. On that menu, there are items like shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad, French onion soup, salmon, chicken and sirloin strip steak. They are available every night and we order from this menu when there is nothing we like. I had the soup and strip streak with mashed potatoes and they were excellent. We were flatly refused to order from the MDR but were told they had to go to Deck 3 to get the soup.
  11. The easiest way is to ask your attendant to empty the contents of the refrigerator when you arrive. What they do with it is not your worry. We did it last cruise and it worked out fine.
  12. You can order 2 appetizers and they are typically served one after the other. I see no problem having them delivered at the same time. As for having 2 entrees, there will be an additional fee for a second entree in a Specialty Restaurant and a fee in the MDR for an specific additional entree such as a second lobster.
  13. The Theater is really spectacular. It is really high tech. The production shows were outstanding. We had to get to the Theater early (20 minutes before showtime) in order to get a decent seat. Both shows were packed. If you are eating in one of the 4 MDR, get there early if you don't have reservations. We were turned away when we arrived about 6:30 and were told to come back in an hour.
  14. Many years ago, I saw a number of parties using walkies. Problem was that all were on the same channel. Chaos. I have not seen them in a long time. Use the FREE app feature which is more effective. Or leave notes to each other or say "I will meet you at X at this time"
  15. The Mast Grill was also open. One of the MDR was open for Concierge Guests.
  16. If the people you are traveling with do not want to book Aqua or the Retreat, you could all dine without any additional costs in the MDR or the buffet. Or, you could re-book under their class and join them for every meal.
  17. When you arrive on board, head to the Specialty Restaurant(s) you are interested in and ask about available times. That has been successful for us. The Persian Gardens are really nice with the heated tile loungers and a variety of therapy rooms. Nice sea views as well from the loungers. This is included for Aqua Class. Otherwise, you could purchase a day pass. We had 3 fitness classes included.
  18. On the Beyond, you CANNOT order items from one of the 4 MDR from Blu. We were refused. So when we wanted to eat a particular dish in Normandie, we were advised to go to Normandie. And yes, there is prime rib on the Beyond. Go to Fine Cut Steakhouse to get your prim rib.
  19. 8 to 10 am daily at Le Grand Bistro Restaurant on the Beyond. Just got off the ship. And yes, those drinks are included.

    Blu

Two weeks ago on the Beyond, the answer was a definitive 'NO'. If we did not like the menu for the evening, we either booked a Specialty Restaurant or went to one of the MDRs. We were happy with Normandie. When we ordered French onion soup in Blu, we were always told that our waiter would have to go down from Deck 5 to Deck 3 to get it. The soup was delicious!
  21. Many of the cabins on 11 have an overhang from above which make them shady.
  22. Agreed. If the cruise is busy, you may be offered 8:30 pm or later. That is why we pay a few dollars more and chose the days and times we want. On our last cruise, people we met staying in a Royal Suite were not able to get reservations on two of the days they wished to dine. Never mind the time.
  23. You have the option of ordering the Tasting Menu and there will be a different price from the $60 per person charge for the regular menu experience. Food was excellent at Eden.
  24. There are bars that close at 11 and midnight. Others will be listed as "late" which probably means if there are customers buying drinks, they will remain open. For how long, I am not sure. Hours are listed in Celebrity Today.
  25. It was $59 on the Beyond as a mid-cruise special.
