  1. Could be. There were so many tables occupied by smokers we were surprised.
  2. I'm not sure that it's a designated area but last month we were on Oasis and one day there were a bunch of smokers in the Solarium Bar back near the sliding glass doors. As Solarium Bar frequent flyers that week we hadn't noticed them before and didn't notice them the rest of the week.
  3. Been a while since we did Barefoot but I believe there's a few less options. Basically burgers, dogs, and chicken at Columbus Cove. The cabanas were the draw for us at Barefoot not the buffet. Royal priced right into the bungalows at Columbus Cove. That buffet works for us.
  4. It makes zero sense. They could roll the cost into the price of a suite and call it a perk and no one would notice. Last Royal cruise was on Serenade and I almost forgot we had to buy it until days before we sailed.
  5. I'm not sure why Celebrity can't put this together on the initial booking but I always call 2 - 3 days later to get the second invoice with all the perks included. It gives them an opportunity to screw it up. 1st Invoice 2nd invoice
  6. "and I can confirm things are worse than before, in literally every way." Yes, asking what the OP meant by this is 'in every way' a legitimate question.
  7. You may just be right. After years of sailing with nonworking refrigerators, out of the blue my wife asks the cabin attendant to call maintenance for the refrigerator on our Serenade back in November. Much to my surprise they fixed it. We were out when they came so I have no idea what the did to it.
  8. This also true but the OP was asking about the suite benefit.
  9. This is correct accept that it's a PIN not a password.
  10. Always check the reservoir before using. We found the bottom of ours filled with a clear goop that I can only assume was soap. Cabin attendant almost had a meltdown when we pointed it out. He couldn’t stop apologizing all week.
  11. Reserve seating in the theater is on Deck 4 center balcony. I like the location but not everyone shares that opinion. Forgot to add they release those seats 10 - 15 minutes before showtime.
  12. Another Royal Caribbean cutback!!! 🤣🤣
  13. On your invoice this is where you should see NRD. Right underneath it should say... "The minimum deposit for this reservation is Non-Refundable. A change fee of $100 USD per guest will apply for ship or sail date changes.'
  14. We've been suite cruisers for some time but prefer the bungalows at Columbus Cove. The buffet is close by and you still get bar service at your beck and call. We loved the cabanas at Barefoot but they're just ridiculously priced at this point.
  15. Never had to use them for a medical emergency but we've had good luck with Travel Guard. We had 3 claims in the past 5 years for canceled cruises from my aging parents falling ill. They were pleasant to deal with and quick processing the claim.
  16. We were on Allure in May and received 2 bottles of Champagne. My wife went to the LA and she kindly switched it up for her and said she would change the preference. Next cruise in November 2 bottles of champagne. She's calling C&A to make the switch. We don't have another RC cruise until next November so we'll see how it works out.
  17. Did you receive any opportunity to move the cruise with a price guarantee or OBC for the cancellation?
  18. Bar Harbor, like Key West, is a better place for a short stay than a cruise. My in-laws are in Boston so I have this innate tendency of avoiding it.
  19. Was there 2 weeks ago on Oasis with Freedom also in port. It didn't seem crowded.
  20. Not a big deal but we were linked with my sons reservation and I showed up on their comedy show reservation but my wife didn't. We were the grandson's babysitters so we didn't reserve any shows.
  21. True. We live in the northeast so weather, ocean, and suite amenities are our top priorities.
  22. On Oasis 2 weeks ago we received a call and a letter in our stateroom to make a reservation by calling Chops. We stopped by instead of calling and made the reservation there.
  23. Never thought it was too noisy but we're not people watchers so we didn't enjoy the view as much as the ocean facing.
  24. We had another large group on board...literally. https://www.cruisingatlarge.com/
