  1. Can you make entertainment reservations in the app or do you have to go to Syd Norman's? Thanks!
  2. It's open, but there is some covered seating along the sides. I think the Solarium bar is also covered.
  3. Here's our Harmony show schedule from Sep 11, 2022. Not sure if you have the same itinerary. Harmony Shows Sep 11 2022.PDF
  4. Here's the show schedules from Harmony's Sep 11, 2022 sailing. We did the Eastern Caribbean. Harmony Shows Sep 11 2022.PDF
  5. Looking forward to your review! We'll be on the Prima in January.
  6. We were in a Junior Suite on Independence out of Port Canaveral earlier this month. We had a 10:30am arrival time (which was the earliest). Our Set Sail pass had "Suite" printed on it. That's all we showed to get in the Suites lines and in the Suites waiting area (with the comfy furniture). The first to board the ship were Suites & Pinnacles. This included the Junior Suites.
  7. Yes, Terminal 1 for Harmony. Enjoy your cruise! She's a beautiful ship!
  8. We were also on this cruise. Over 5500 passengers! More kids than we expected too for mid-September. We sailed on Harmony in May and felt that both times the arrival process was a bit chaotic. This time we had a 10:30am arrival time. There were separate sections outside for 10:30am, 11am, etc., but no one was verifying the arrival time on your paperwork, so you could get in whatever line you felt like. The security line inside was insanely long too while we waited for it to open up. But once it got moving the wait wasn't too bad. Check-in inside the terminal went quickly and it wasn't long before they started the boarding process.
  9. We just got off Harmony today and we were feeling the early effects of Fiona on Monday and Tuesday (sea days). Long rolling swells. Bonine to the rescue!
  10. We just got off of Harmony and for the most part the MDR food was good. A couple of thumbs-downs were the Prime Rib (on the first night) and the Lamb Chops. They were tough. The thumbs-ups were the Beef Tenderloin (very tender), the Jumbo Tiger Shrimp and the Lobster Tails. There was supposed to be baked potato with the lobster tails, but our waiter said the chef was substituting yellow rice. You could request a baked potato. Not sure if there was a shortage of potatoes (Day 6). We were not really impressed with the offerings in the Windjammer for lunch. For such a large ship, there were not that many choices. We found ourselves grabbing pizza for Sorrento's or a sandwich from Park Cafe.
  11. Priority security and check-in lines at Port Canaveral for Independence on Sep 5. There was also an announcement about priority boarding by C&A status (down to Diamond, I think) and Key.
  12. Independence 9/5 we had Captain Marshall Bartlett.
  13. I think 10:30am is the earliest boarding time (at least for Independence and Harmony out of Port Canaveral). I just got a 10:30am for our October cruise, and I checked-in around 6:15am. Use the Royal app on your phone because you can just go in and select the boarding time, and go back later and finish the rest of the check-in. There is a priority order for boarding, with Suites, Pinnacles, Diamond+, Diamond (I think) and Key boarding before the time-slot boarding begins. I'm not sure if wheelchair boards earlier.
  14. Same here. If the cost of our trip goes up after the initial purchase of insurance, we update the cost on the policy and pay the difference.
  15. Yes, essentially there are no rooms left to upgrade, but a last minute cancellation, etc. might free up a room. Don't get your hopes up. We received the same email, then at 5pm on departure day (an hour after sail-away) we received the "Your RoyalUp request was unsuccessful" email.
  16. We got off Independence yesterday about 7:30am and we were back home in Orlando a little after 8:30am. We took our own luggage off so we wouldn't have to wait.
  17. LNG barge leaving after refueling the Disney Wish in Port Canaveral.
  18. Getaway arriving for a port of call in Port Canaveral.
  19. There are times when another Royal ship is docked at Terminal 1 (Harmony or Independence). Then Oasis docks at Terminal 6 during her port of call (not Terminal 5, sorry about that). If Terminal 1 is open, then Oasis will dock there.
  20. There are several restaurants (with bars) near Terminal 1. Probably a 10 minute walk. I haven't been to any of them so I can't make a recommendation. You might try posting on the Florida Departures forum: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/386-florida-departures/
  21. Canada and New England is a great fall cruise. No guarantee you will see the foliage changing but lots of great places to visit.
  22. https://www.portcanaveral.com/Cruise/Cruise-Lines-Schedules There is a PDF link on this page to view the upcoming cruise ship schedule for Port Canaveral. You can see which ships are in port on the day you make your call. It won't definitively tell you what terminal you'll be docked at, but can give you an idea if you are the only Royal ship in port that day.
  23. For Orlando, it depends which ships are in port that day. If you are coming in on Oasis for a port call on the same day that Harmony or Independence is docked at Terminal 1, then you will dock over by Terminal 5. Still in the same general area, not like it's miles away or anything. If Terminal 1 is open, then you will dock there. Not sure about Miami.
