The $$ given do not come out of the individual travel agents pocket. It comes from the agency coffers. The agency has a % of the fare that the agent, on behalf of the agency, can give you. Each ageny gets overrides from the cruise line based on business placed with that line.

We were at terminal 29 9 am yesterday. The cost for Uber to our home is approx. $15. Yesterday it was $39. There were taxi's available so we threw the dice and took one. Fare came to $25 plus tip. There were quite a few ships in port which probably accounted for the surge pricing. Will see what next Sunday brings. The season has begun at PE! You are spot on. The issue is the 30+ that would not go through immigration check. They need to be thrown off at the next port stop, if there is one, and banned from all royal / X ships. It is disgusting the lack of regard they have for others.
