  1. definitely..and read labels on any included water..buy a clean lo salt if needed..We bring a few if our own btls and a small brita filtering pitcher..
  2. lobster tail ( 1) looked ok. the lone piece of broccoli.looks lonely seems all went ok for chic night!
  3. tell them up front...low salt! that's why we like BLU ..lower salt and we get all sauces and gravy on the side...soups are a salt trap! as you know...drink lots of pure water to flush out kidneys
  4. pick one of them and as soon as you board go to maitre d there or at any restaurant, or if dining rep us near the buffet area.. see if they can get you in .. once on board spots may open up!
  5. Beautiful and uplifting...more great photography. We will never be able to travel there in person but you have made these amazing places come alive! Thanks
  6. lucky for Gen X and others that Luminae is meeting expectations. In Nov on BEYOND, we had a very lackluster and disappointing Luminae experience..from all perspectives (other than our sommelier) No pleasant greeting on arrival, seated either in a dark booth along the wall or in the noisy central area..Very robotic slow service. Menu was mostly un appealing to us. We much prefer the pre meal tidbits in BLU to the amuse bouche concoctions , and think the BLU menu, food prep and service is far superior ! Luminae Bread lady doled out 1 roll at a time and would disappear.. One day she announced bread would be late. In BLU you get a bread basket that is promptly replenished. The Luminae shrimp cocktail shrimp were mushy, limp, warm and tiny; and the sauce was mostly ketchup. (compared to BLU which served jumbo fresh shrimp with a proper sauce) We stuck with Luminae due to the always available salmon for me, and fact that the tiny lobsters were very tasty..But we finally bailed..( as did others) . We then had a great dinner at BLU and one at Raw on 5. I was also locked in the Luminae ladies room behind a malfunctioning auto door ( beware! ) After banging and yelling , I was freed, the maitre d hardly said "sorry!" Glad to hear it is now delivering a better experience but we'd never go back. We are happily returning to AQ class with BLU on Ascent! Just a better fit for us!
  7. GREAT REVIEW so far ..Brilliant Photography! B O N V O Y A G E !
  8. You should report the sliding door issue asap.. perhaps it was a quick fix by the last passenger in the room. Sounds like an easy maint fix if you report it. Lack of towels and bath mat? .Just dial housekeeping or guest services to request them or take an extra from the pool. Hope you are not going to tip your attendant any extra $ for sub standard service!
  9. each dining rm usually has the dinner menu at the check in podium that you can see at breakfast..not sure where else if not on the app???
  10. Not my style! I was just reading up on Jordan in general..... also has modesty dress suggestions for women..similar to Churches in many places.
  11. we had enough aggravation on Infinity a few yrs ago (no A/C, mildew, wet corridor carpet).... and moved on to E Class..but we are going to try a short cruise on Silhouette..sailed on her when she was new!
  12. Us too. Hope we will find everything in great shape with a top notch crew!
  13. maybe she was Elite in a parallel universe!
  14. it was not about the drinks at the beginning but was a nice gathering of frequent cruisers.. Seems now its more abt the drinks
  15. You posted some nice photos.. enjoyed them..thanks. We would not sail on this ship. The older ones seem to have alot of deferred maint issues..ugh. Your last ship also seemed dated. Even EDGE is not in "new ship" condition anymore. . Maybe the key.is to book the newest ones as they debut . Hope we are not disappointed with Silhouette despite good reviews!
  16. Bagpiper could be fun in small doses Showed the Rooftop lamb chop pic to my husb...Usually he'd go for brisket but now he can't wait for lamb... plus a few other goodies!
  17. maybe the relative will have a suggestion ....you might meet at a museum or nice place for them or you to wait..til you meet up We love Valencia!
  18. Hope never! Diamond crossover has inundated X....and diluted value of the Cap Club program..just my opinion!
  19. Book ahead...or you may not get the date and time you prefer! Murano would be perfect but it is a bit formal with a longer dining time..For something less formal Tuscan is a great choice..with aft view Italian and steaks. sample menus for Specialty Rest are on the Celebrity website. ENJOY!
  20. yup.. our android tablet and husb's phone are too old for the app..never bothered with it on my phone. Not needed on board.. except to take a few photos. We are able to get our cruise docs , luggage tags, and can easily do the check in from our home computer. X rep takes the photo at the pier check in..Many of those who upload have to re do anyhow Much of the info about menus and activities is not up date..not overly reliable from what we have heard. The daily gives a full schedule and list of the hours for bars, dining and spa etc. App not needed for drink.oders opening your cabin door etc. Some enjoy the app and tech but NOT REQUIRED to enjoy Celebrity.
  21. agree...we do a diff outfit each time to mix it up..but spend less of pics than we used to!
  22. wow.. wonder how they must feel about Suite guests.. In all our cruising years, we never saw any Elites mention or flaunt status, esp now Feelings of insecurity for sure! They are free to go elsewhere!
  23. thanks .I won't wear slippery or good shoes that might get ruined .Hoping for dry skies ... but we'll be ready..just in case.! A few of our friends have had falls recently so we try to be careful! Looking forward to some of those yummy looking dishes you featured..esp the lamb chops
  24. the green screen photos give options of several poses with diff backgrounds ..including the ship.. We have done the green screens on EDGE & BEYOND and have taken boarding photos as well...The photographers do a great job.! You can gather your family or book a pvt session..They do table shots on chic night. Photo costs are pricey but they often offer a portfolio frame which includes a ship photo on one side and you can insert your pic on the other. We always buy a few and make our own "albums" ..Lately buying a photo book/ package has not always been possible..not available . We NEVER leave the ship without our prints/uploads. Agreeing to wait has resulted in complaints.
