Sorry to hear this about EDGE.. I was just organizing our folders and other memorabilia from our Edge Cruises in her inaguaral year. Great memories.. First cruise was in AQ Class...7 days. Fabulous in every way. The next was a longer itin in a middle SV with the 4 mdrs.. really outstanding! Cabin attendants were top notch! ************* Long while ago, they were pushing AQ.. We were given superior toiletries, lots of stateroom perks and extras, and beautiful soft plush aqua color towels. On our very next cruise..those towels were gone and replaced with scratchy threadbare white rags! I saw the good ones on a cart headed to the suites! Not happy to lose the AQUA towrks but we just used the pool and t nice excursion beach towels for our shower.. *********** we agree, LOYAL ( older?) CRUISERS rec to others, and younger family members who they often treat to cruises. We are suggesting our kiddos go from Royal C to Disney!

and if the the food you receive is cold or tough..pls politely send it back to the chef!

I seem to recall that there used to be a Champagne Bar on X..but now only the Martini Bar.. (on one ship the M Bar was ice,) Also seems the self serve wine dispensers are also gone?? Fewer choices, higher prices!

if the Excursion manager receives several strong but polite complaints just after the tour, there's a fair chance there would be a credit issued. OP says he has a good price and the restaurant for lunch had good review. So why not try it?

OP if you order a drink that costs more than the Classic allowance you will be charged only the diff in.price plus the extra grat.

I did a mock booking for a Prime Veranda for a Bermuda only itin.. Cabins are available but not in over abundance for some of the dates. The My Time Dining was available. Oddly, Eclipse one ship we never sailed on due to where it was ported. Good luck!

on Beyond it was a temp set up where other activities take place at other times.. not sure abt Ascent..hoping it is not where the striking noise can be heard!

that was a nice gift! we just replaced the wheels on an American Tourister wheelie carryon. Repair cost $40..but would cost much more to replace the bag. Only 1 place around here does the repairs now....it was worth the long drive to drop off and pick up. Our most recent luggage is from WALMART...works ok for our current needs! Mostly to and from Fl. We use bright orange velcro neoprene handle wraps, and very colorful paper string on all our bags! Easy to spot. Best of course is if we can walk off a ship..

if you book before Oct 4th you can choose all incl( with grats) or other price programs... refundable dep most expensive looks like the 2 BERMUDA itins will be popular.. esp on an S class ship!

I will be following closely. Lately, reviews have been a good way to get first hand info about the good or not so good! Before we started sailing E class, Silhouette and Equinox were or favorites ships, esp Silho. ENJOY!

We have not cruised since April but some posts mentioned that the Starlink wifi was very good, but not the basic. Much depends on ship location, weather etc but we are hoping that basic wifi will let us send/receive a few e mails to/from home. I Usually post pics to cruise critic..not a full live ftom review but just a few ! Hope it will be ok...Next ship is Ascent so it should be ok...

From posts above it seems I may have misunderstood the new announced "All Included" plan that starts 10/4 Do folks think prices with only the 2 inclusions (classic alc and basic wi fi) will be lower on Oct 4th. In that case the grats added daily may result in the same actual cost but make the cruise price "SEEM" lower? Our only current booked X cruises on Ascent and Apex, have the "All In" pricing that includes grats although we did not need the included basic internet which we hear is no longer very good. We did like the old good,better best( ?) plan. We usually picked 2..grats and classic alc.. (we already get enough internet minutes from Cap Club level.) our decisions on any future bookings with X will be less abt pricing plans and will focus on food quality and menu options

A bucket of ice is included..how generous! so its for 1 btl alc, they have soda juice at the buffet.

We are booked on Ascent but will be back in BLU....yay Access to BLU for Suite guests is subject to availability. No res are accepted so not sure how your Retreat Concierge would be helpful When we sailed on BEYOND in Retreat we discovered Luminae was just not for us. We decided to bail! That night we did not go to Luminae straightaway, We went to BLU shortly after it opened and asked if we could join for the evening. It was not very busy or crowded and we were welcomed with open arms. Had a great dinner.! On another night, we went to the Specialty sushi place. We also just went straight there. .We had an early res time, and enjoyed a great meal, drinks, excellent service...They have so much more than sushi..It was a feast! The line was way into the hallway by the time we left! Enjoy!

they also use the Solarium like a nh dayroom..snoring and drooling all day. the staterooms have beds for naps that they should consider
