  1. And its been at 10 or 10:30 p.m.
  2. Looks like a nice tour.. We enjoyed Costa Rica.... many beautiful places and friendly people, English speaking. We took the Celebrity Tortuguero Canal excursion...small boat tour and bus...very natural but cringed at the bats along the way (they were asleep?) Highly rec. We had a sloth sanctuary in our Town here in N. It was very popular but it was shut down. .An animal rights group felt it was not well run, exploited the sloths, and started a big campaign. So now kiddos have to go see them at the bigger zoos! I will show your sloth, big " cat" and tortoise pics to our grandsons! They will be a big hit! We have wild boars in Fla..HOA needs a trapper to re- locate them from time to time
  3. I am enjoying the conversation! HIlo for us was an amazing port. Sal loved the steam vents, visit to VNP (volcano natl park) and all the scientific equip.... He is a Nat'l Geographic geek and this was an amazing place! I enjoyed it too but best of all for me was getting a huge floral arrangement with bird of paradise and other exotics at the port as we departed....Low price, we were allowed to carry it on..lasted long! Memorable day!
  4. We were in AQ Class on Ascent and received a nice sturdy tan bag with grey straps.. It has an inside zip pouch... but no zipper or velcro closure at the top.
  5. Great update..thank you We are looking forward to a short Carib cruise on Silho in Dec
  6. great photos..and info. Enjoying the blog. We were on a similar itin with X years ago.. For those who prefer ship sponsored tours, X had great choices! Nice busses, excellent guides, and not over crowded .We had an amazing Celebrity tour to Pompei..the guide was outstanding and the tour was just long enough without tiring us out...lots of walking...wear sturdy shoes, sun hat! Great pizza afterwards. Took a Celebrity tour to Taormina....travel was via bus (great sea views and hairpin turns). It was a long day but amazing. We left the tour towards the end so we could have a nice lunch and more time to shop..Great pottery! Saw a wedding party come out of the church for photos..very nice ! have to catch up on all the rest....
  7. Cannot do squab: In culinary terminology, squab is a immature domestic pigeon, typically under four weeks old, or its meat. Some authors describe it as tasting like dark ... Also no quail.. They roam our backyard in Fl..known there as BOBWHITE I am ok with chicken, turkey & duck..never tried goose
  8. all expenditures at the PG or thermal suite areas....salon, spa etc incur the extra gratuity..I stopped buying anything there..it's a huge extra cost. If you need something like hair gel or mousse, the Perfume shop may be better..no grat added!
  9. Comment re bath tubs..We disiked the one on BEYOND ( sky suite). It was oversized & Combined with the shower.. It took up alot of space, was very slippery and did not have enough grab handles..felt dangerous..used it once! We have one tub at each of our homes. Our grandbabies love it..and us too... therapeutic when needed to soak! Nice try X but rather have just the shower!
  10. much as I love the great photos, and history, bringing back many memories...this is my fav ofvthis group.. The smile says it all!
  11. wonderful photos ! when we did the partial on Royal C.. It was a tight fit! The ship got scraped..All heck broke loose..Cap was not happy & had workers out there on scaffolds painting as soon as we got into the lake!
  12. SV is lovely..very quiet hallway, large true balc with aft view...and larger cabin...long and narrow. We like the bed by bath.. It's a long walk to/ from elev..you will get your steps in!
  13. It's what makes his blog so special! Much more than just photos with descriptions ...Reminds me of Marilyn, Vt cruiser..who was the EDGEE Queen!
  14. Do I still see "trugs" alongside? I read the article about the new vs old lock systems but still not sure how it all works..fascinating!
  15. We are considering ECLIPSE for 2026, for a Carib cruise with US departure! Any updates on the tefurb will be appreciated. We had that language "no entiendo" excuse on a very crowded cruise from Miami...kids running wild! We goofed and booked over a school holiday..ugh!
  16. Many reviews and photos are available..if you can use the search feature or google. Very broad inquiry..What are u interested in? What category stateroom? and what's are ur itins? Happy Cruising..hope for smooth seas and no creaking!

  19. Maybe using a TA would be helpful and give you a discount or perks. TA can work on linking dining, specialty rest and excursion res too. We book our own stuff but with so many in your group, prof help might be best!
