  1. I'll add to this - they must be carried onboard the ship, not in your checked luggage.
  2. Lip balm, sunscreen, clothespin (to ensure window curtains close all the way), visor (for those who forgot hats), Band-Aids/moleskin.
  3. Quite possibly. I can't wear compression socks that cover my toes, so my feet can still swell, but not my legs.
  4. The only issue I'd have switching to slippers on long flights would be my feet swelling and not being able to get my regular shoes back on to get off the plane.
  5. Usually - 2 pairs of walking/sneaker shoes (one for wearing, one packed), water shoes (usually a water sandal-type shoe), and 1 pair of dress shoes.
  6. IMO, it wouldn't violate the PVSA. Now, DCL is fairly new in the PVSA world, and, since the were burned pretty badly learning about it on her Alaska/US cruises when she sailed from Seattle, they may be overly cautious. Maybe @chengkp75 can chime in here.
  7. Don't know if you addressing a specific cruise line, but on some lines the mini-fridge is just that, a refrigerator. And we've found them to be pretty cold, even freezing sodas put in them.
  8. We've taken 4 trips with Vantage - 3 river cruises and one land tour (including one twice postponed due to COVID) and have enjoyed them all. Yes, I'll agree that they send out way too many mailers, but, the trips were worth it. We have a small ship cruise booked next year with Vantage.
  9. Bingo usually isn't IN the casino. Typically played in one of the lounges (during the daytime).
  10. Not always. Our first Alaska cruise was mid September. Most ports had at least 1/4 of their shops "closed for the season". But, there were still stores that were open, just not as much. And the sales were pretty good, for what remaining merchandise there was. As to the weather that year - basically overcast and misty most days. With rain in some places. Temperatures were high 50- low 60s most days.
  11. https://www.cruisetimetables.com/ That other site went bad a couple of years ago.
  12. Don't think that the buffets are the issue, but I recently read an article about shrinking seat sizes: The FAA wants your opinion on the size of airplane seats, but the deadline is fast approaching https://thehill.com/homenews/369595...e-seats-but-the-deadline-is-fast-approaching/https://www.regulations.gov/document/FAA-2022-1001-0001
  13. I think some of that downturn has to do with the fact that there wasn't too much cruising going on for the past couple of years.
  14. We parked at the Wyndham, also. Very convenient, no "hike" involved. But you must book way out.
  15. Lots of info here: https://disneycruiselineblog.com/2014/04/connectsea-internet-data-plans-review/
  16. We don't bring our laptop on cruises. We find most ships have an internet room, with computers for use.
  17. Have you tried using the "Find a Cruise" link at top of page?
  18. Not totally a call to muster, but we were awakened at 3 am one night at sea. In my sleep-filled stupor I recognized the "7 short 1 long" blast, and knew it was not a drill. I knew I needed to get up and put on some clothes, and wait in my room for further directions. After about 15 minutes, there was a ship-wide announcement that a fire in the engine room had triggered the alarm, but all was under control and the fire was out.
  19. Did you let DCL know? They do respond to massive feedback on procedure changes. At least they have in the past.
  20. I'd suggest a Google search for Disney forums.
  21. It's possible that the dinner menu for Christmas Eve/Day may be different, but, generally, all other days will be the same as any other cruise.
