  1. Thanks for the view. Was the Cabo tender running overnight, and how frequently? You mentioned an "off-menu" beef Wellington, how did you find out about it?
  2. We don't have to like it but the reality is they don't enforce the dress code. I was on the Beyond in Europe about six months ago, you would have to imagine their newest ship and Europe itinerary which is often more dressy than other itineraries would enforce the dress code. Nope. Even on formal nights saw a few men in shorts, even more in t-shirts, hoodies, rashguards, etc
  3. We were on two Mexican Riveria sailings on the Soltice last season, The first sailing was 3 Mexican ports and the second was 2 Mexican ports and San Diego. Going through customs in San Pedro was so much faster, we self-carryed off, at least 50 in front of us and we waited in line for less than a minute. As @Stockjock said, in San Diego it was about 20mins. Also, they'll assign you a time window to get off, I'm sure there's some room to arrive arrive up to an hour early/late but if you're a night owl, you can't sleep until noon
  4. Thanks for sharing, I also can't recall seeing this suggestion but that doesn't mean it wasn't presented. There are definitely elderly people on every sailing who don't have smartphones. I have been on X 134 nights since the restart and other than one time where they said they just need to vacuum, the rooms have always been ready upon arrival. Lately, we've been arriving before boarding starts and are usually on the ship by 11am and the rooms have always been ready that early
  5. I just made two new bookings with the BCC/Casino this week and the first booking rep said asked if I wanted early, late or anytime. I said "select" and she said something like "Yes, what is selection?" which made me chuckle. The second booking/rep said the same choices of early, late or anytime so I just answered anytime. lol
  6. I figured yet we've had two different experiences at the senior officer events. Sometimes they don't ask for your seapass at all and other times they do
  7. You probably want E-Class. Pretty much all the entertainment is the same between the E-Class ships while all the entertainment is the same on both the M-Class (Summit) and S-Class (Reflection) so you may see the same shows again
  8. You should seriously consider sending both a DM to Celebrity's X/twitter account and email the exec office with pics/videos. Not only would this be your best odds of getting it fixed ASAP but they'll probably throw in an OBC for your next sailing
  9. I totally agree with preferring the drinks at most bars. I will state that some will chime in and say "On my sailing last year, we did have these events". Their experience is NOT routine and may only be offered on TAs/TPs
  10. I'll share some tips for others as I've made a 10am flight out of Miami before but understand the OP did change their flight -Google the airline's missed flight policy; for most, you call and they'll book on the next flight if there's availability otherwise you're on standby -Armed with the airline's missed flight policy, have a plan of what you'll do if you miss your flight -Self-carry off and use a taxi if you don't have pre-arrangements. Uber/Lyft is too risky as time estimates can be off and the drivers can cancel -On US domestic flights, generally checked luggage has a deadline 45mins before departure -If carrying on, generally the plane's door closes 15mins before departure yet you'll probably be forced to gate check if you arrive that close to departure - Specific to AA Miami which is where they're HQed, the domestic terminals are massive. There is a train yet when we were there it was closed for maintenance and they had buses with long lines so we decided to walk. We have never walked as much as we did for a domestic flight and we routinely fly out of LAX and SFO -We flew a week before XMas wrongly predicting many wouldn't travel for the XMas that far in advance yet the airport was slammed. We both have clear and global which gives you pre-check, the clear line had at least 250+ people. To our surprise there were only a dozen in pre-check so we got lucky there On our return from an X sailing out of FLL, we made 8:43am, we just barely made the checked luggage 45min before cut off because at them time I didn't know better and tried using ride shares where one cancelled on us and next too 15mins to arrive. Had we taken a taxi we would have been fine
  11. FYI, it appears X replaced "select" dining with "anytime" dining which does better define what it actually is. RCI uses the term "My time dining" so it wasn't a standardization
  12. Ditto; it seemed like the person I was quoting was saying it shouldn't have gone to elites
  13. At these events would those without any drink package be able to order some drinks off the classic drink package menu?
  14. Valid. I never experienced that event and it reportedly went away before the pandemic
  15. Who exactly has said this and in your experience, you've heard this on ALL your sailing? Guessing the terminal check in person? Checked with Ms. Nuts, and we can't recall ever hearing this and most of the time, they occasionally don't tell us anything about the keycard
  16. What reduced? The email states the 5-7 elite happy hour still exists at the participating bars Why wouldn't the email be sent to Elites and above?
  17. That’s great news, that Uber-sensitive person will no longer be sailing with X 🤗 ”rub everyone’s noses” over 2-3 lounge events? Braggers gonna bag, these nose rubbers must already be bragging about their status benefits like laundry, elite happy hour, free gelato scoop, etc. We’ve personally never seen it; here and there we’re heard something like “we cruise a lot so go on X a lot thanks to the status benefits” but we don’t consider that bragging
  18. I didn’t realize it was a stand alone camera, makes sense now
  19. For datapoint purposes, ditto on the iMessages working
  20. Why not connect the camera to the hotel's wifi? While a travel router has several functions, the primary purpose of one on a cruise is to take one single Wi-Fi network and split it into multiple signals. Since most hotels have good wifi and usually allow at least two devices (many have no device limits), I'm not sure how a wifi router would benefit you
  21. Makes sense. If you bring a windows laptop or Mac, they can both be used as a WiFi repeater right out of the box, no hardware or software required
  22. I welcome any passenger change. Seems their goal is to better connect with the repeat cruisers
  23. Thanks for sharing, like I said the two radio claim was from Reddit. So do you think the iPhone could do it if jailbroken?
