  1. On our upcoming b2b cruise, we’re both in the green lane on the old app. I haven’t downloaded the new one. Any reason I should?
  2. If sailing in a full suite, dining in a specialty restaurant is free on the first night of the cruise. I wonder if they’ll add on the 18% and charge the folio.
  3. Wow, just one more hoop to jump through! Fortunately I already have my OBC for our April cruise, but will have to bone up on the newfangled App to work on the rest. Geez!
  4. Good news! After preserving, my TA was able to get us the Black Friday deal after all. It saved us a bunch!
  5. Two of our three future cruises don’t qualify, and the third is priced higher than when we originally booked.
  6. This was a couple of years ago. They generously gave us some FCC.
  7. We were on the Discovery Princess in an aft suite, Starboard side, on Dolphin deck, and a smoking area for crew and passengers was below us on Promenade deck. We could not use our balcony because of all the smoke, which also at times, seeped into the cabin. Aft suites on the Port side of the ship rarely if ever have that problem. A lot depends on if the ship is in motion and how the wind blows. But I would never book the Starboard side again.
  8. We always book an aft cabin, as the views from the balcony are better. I don’t know if any aft cabins can accommodate three people, but as @skynight said, you need to check the deck plans on the Princess web site. When in Glacier Bay, the captain will stop the ship and then after a few minutes, he will rotate it, so the other side of the ship has a view of the glacier. We have booked EZair through Princess a couple of times and had no problems, but if you read these boards, you’ll see that many have encountered problems with either cancelled flights or time changes. The luck of the draw, I guess. Have fun planning, and enjoy your cruise.
  9. We haven’t had flowers in our suites in years. They were replaced with a live orchid, and now rubber plants.
  10. On our last cruise, I asked for Crepes at breakfast in Sabatini’s, and they gave me pancakes. I had to describe what a crepe was, and then they brought out a very thin pancake. The Head Waiter asked if that was what I wanted, and I just said that it would do, and left it at that. Two days later, they brought me Crepes and every day afterwards, I got Crepes (whether I ordered them or not) along with the rest of my breakfast. They were so kind and tried so hard to please me. Breakfast in a specialty is one of the best perks of being in a suite.
  11. We’ve sailed in D727 twice on a Royal class ship. The deck is huge. The problem we encountered was when smokers were using the aft portion of the ship on the Promenade deck. Many days we were unable to use our balcony due to the cigarette smoke, and at times it also leaked into our cabin. On our next cruise we’ve chosen cabin B734, which is on the opposite side of the ship. The balcony isn’t quite as large, but we won’t have to deal with the cigarette smoke.

  15. We also sailed on the Sky Princess, disembarking May 27. Today we received an accounting of our credits and charges. Ridiculous! Since our remaining credits on board were non refundable, we cashed out at the casino. I try to NEVER leave $ in my account, whether refundable or not.
  16. I’ve been experiencing the same issue, but tried again yesterday, and it worked! I do have the package, so no charge.

  18. Squaremouth is the broker, not the insurance company, so they aren’t the company processing the claims.
  19. Kahului could replace Lahaina if Princess can arrange it. We docked there the last time we sailed to Maui when Lahaina was updating the tender dock.

  21. I had a problem with receiving promised FCC once and escalated my situation to Princess executives. My issue was finally resolved. Be sure to keep your explanation to the point and courteous without blaming anyone specifically.
