  1. Yes. All on deck 7 forward, both ships.
  2. Thanks for the info, MayB. That’s about 70% single supplement. Quite high. I wish they had scattered the single rooms about like behind the lifeboats on deck 8 of the Symphony. I’d rather be there than laundry free deck 7.
  3. He still hasn’t written to me.
  4. Ballroom dance or disco? Live music?
  5. It’s not too late May B. Open booking deposits are still available.
  6. I’ve had some different experiences to ronrick1943. Embark: I had signed up for 2pm embark and showed up somewhat before 2. Assigned to group 8. 2:45 started process. On board 3:15 not without difficulty due to torrential downpour and slippery deck etc. Masks: very few are wearing masks and there are no requirements to do so. They are readily available should one wish to have one. Dinner service: in contrast have had very long waits to have our order taken.
  7. Rather than Ubering to Sausalito, you can take the ferry from the Ferry Building. You can walk to the Ferry Building or take the F historical street car, etc.
  8. Wow. Sure glad I flew the same flight a day after you. I spent a lovely NYE at the GH SFO. I’m SFO based so don’t have to try too hard to come up with an excuse to stay there. Always gets a trip off to a good start. I’m at the Andaz Singapore. It’s an easy MRT ride from the airport. Helps if you know where the station complex door to hotel building is. Great breakfast buffet of mixed cuisines.

  10. Gordon Porth, King of the Cove, on the Symphony (and bits and pieces from elsewhere):
  11. It’s very hard to know how many open booking deposits to do without knowing approximately when Crystal will resume sailing (eg May? August? November?).
  12. Crystal supposedly finally starting open booking deposits December 13 followed by itineraries followed by bookings. Keep an eye out for emails and on the new Crystal website.
  13. When I was on board the end of August, the first page was a daily menu followed by a separate menu that changed every 4 days.
  14. Which one were you booking? I just booked Spirit Jan 5-19 this week without any problem. But friends who've been booked on it for sometime have now encountered such a problem that they may not be going.
  15. On 10/31 they said $250 for solos. It is of course possible that they have changed their minds.
  16. I was assuming the total deposit for the booking would be greater than $500, but perhaps it would not for some itineraries with shorter lengths and lower per diems and of course I have no idea what the deposit % will be. At 90 days, the open booking deposits become refundable. At 100 days, one would be booking under whatever terms are then offered.
  17. No. According to what TAs have been told, open bookings for solos are $250.
  18. This is my understanding: Step 1. Do open booking(s). Step 2. Itineraries for ~2023-2024 are released. Step 3. Within 90 days of Step 2, you select any of those itineraries, you get the OBC. Step 4. You pay the additional deposit due. Step 5. You pay the balance due. Step 6. While on board you have $500 OBC to treat yourself to a massage, a private dance lesson, a connoisseur list wine, something from the shops, a shore excursion, etc.
  19. Also all 4 HDs are returning as is the bridge program and Ambassador Hosts.
  20. From friends’ TAs’ Crystal reps: We anticipate that we will release pricing, new deck plans and itineraries mid to late December.
  21. Thanks for the heads up. For sure I am not booking.
