  1. Nothing was said about holding those dining events, but you can see how they are covered if/when they do return. It is likely in the plan and I am not sure if I read something about one or both being tried on a ship recently. Anyway, nothing was addressed on specific restaurants other than Alfredo's because that is the BIG change since it was free and now will have a cost for menu items. All other casual dining venues remain as they were - free or for a fee.
  2. The change in check-in process with Green and Blue was announced previously and is a whole separate thing from the cruise packages and charging for casual dining venues. According to the initial announcement, guests will only be in Green Lane if they have Medallion in hand. But I answered similar thing just above and read more there.
  3. #1 may be up for question, My interpretation has been that Ocean Now fee doesn't cover cabin as "my location". Could be wrong. #2. All of the discussion was centered around packages - Suites are not getting a special exemption. I imagine if I was booking a Suite, I'd also be booking a package. #3. A bust why? Have lots of people not been able to get into SD? #4. When pigs fly.
  4. It doesn't matter what ship it is. There are separate a la carte items and a "full meal" option which is the $15 amount. So, answer is yes.
  5. How was this clarified and by whom please? I was presuming that the Ocean Now would not include cabin delivery as a "locate me" place because of the RS charge. If it does, I guess the guest needs to decide how often they might use the Ocean Now and then divide that into the $15 fee and see what the approx cost is per usage.
  6. Fair observation. But I wouldn't expect a discount off the package since they didn't increase the cost - yet. It does turn into a fairly unbalanced situation, depending on which ship one is on in terms of venue and menu choices. One thing for sure, these changes certainly change the value proposition calculation from merely beverages to other things as well.
  7. Sure, but that is changing as PCL has announced that only guests with Medallion in hand will be Green Lane. Whether this "sticks" is another thing. It could be a terrible disaster of a move - we don't know yet. Out of other side of their mouths, they said guest can be accommodated in any lane (2 weeks ago). Change is in effect now in places and supposed to be for August 1.
  8. Ocean Ready is the section of the Princess App used to input information for check-in registration processing purposes. You book dining using Dine My Way (DMW) and you can still use that for N/C.
  9. No - that is for RS. In order to be able to use Ocean Now in the App which is order and deliver to your location (such as poolside), you have to pay a one-time service charge of $15 per voyage. It will be in the App.
  10. Not correct. RS is $5 per order usage. $15/pp per booking if you want to use the Ocean Now feature in the App to order drinks or snacks to your location. That won't be including cabins or why would anyone order RS an incur the other fee?
  11. No... the one time $15 charge is to allow use of the Ocean Now feature to order and receive drinks where you are... not room service. Has to be separate thing. And to all.. let's skip the penny BS by PCL and call it the $15 it is.
  12. Correct. The pizza may only be about 50% of the meal charge of $15. Menus will come in due course but we may get an idea from Salty Dog menu as what they might do.
  13. I get that there is marketing hype, but outside of Alfredo's/Gigi's, the other casual dining place did have charges already.
  14. I wonder if they were given discount in part because they won't get Medallions mailed. Or rep was thinking that. By the time their future voyage comes along, they will be able to get Medallions. I suppose it was just a bit of an incenitve to get them to book. Total cost $1680, less $40 isn't a huge give from PCL.
  15. Yes, if you elect the option to choose your own cabin and a TA will have access to inventory.
  16. Well I imagine the average 12+ yr old could down one of those pizzas without much effort.
  17. At 400 days, there could easily be more changes. If you paid $60 for Plus then you get the new things announced today. If you booked with old Pkus at $50, then you don't.
  18. Once checked in, guest is resdy to board. To me, it comes down to when guest arrives a terminal relative to commeneent of boarding which isn't a known time with precision.
  19. When we book a cruise we acknowledge PCL can make changes anytime they choose.
