  1. I do hope LHR is better by mid-November. At least we will be on the way back home then and if bag is delayed, it won't kill us. On the way to Europe, we connect at CDG. Haven't looked too closely, but I have checked if our flights are running. Didn't see any cancels.
  2. I have not asked you about this being in CC dining. But, are you aware of how the DRO has handled those guests who booked same time/location/table for entire voyage expecting the TD experience? Have they been accommodating guests without lining up every night? Are the guests that want it able to actually get the same table/waiters each night? These are for Private tables? Are you aware of guests Sharing a table it's the same people each night like it used to be? Thanks (and don't run around about it - only if you happen to be aware from other guests). ETA: @Esprit, perhaps you know??
  3. You didn't copy the latest version. Sorry, I don't have time to fix it.
  4. I often click LIKE to a post to signify I agree with the information and other times because I like what was said. It occurred to me I had "liked" your post and it might communicate the wrong thing (LOL). I most definitely do NOT like that the corkage fee was increased to $20 when Princess resumed cruising, but I do agree that it is the correct information. 😉 I guess we grudgingly have to accept price increases at times, and I still think it is worthwhile to BYOW.
  5. Princess released a web version of the OCEAN Ready section of the MC App. And they later added DineMyWay function. You can see a referral to the web version if you are on the main page of the Cruise Personalizer for one of your bookings. There is a small line item with a link where they advertise downloading the MC App from Google Play Store and Apple Store.
  6. There is no Canadian version of Princess.com. We share the same website as the USA. The difference is the default currency displayed for cruise pricing which is based on your IP Address location, unless logged in and then it is based on your Captain's Circle profile.
  7. It was their habit/custom to ticket around the 45 day mark. Reports suggest they have been deferring this to the consternation of many guests (of course, Princess never communicated this change). So, some people are getting ticketed late. This may affect ability to make seat selections, depending on airline booked with, fare class booked, airline frequent flyer status. I am not taking any chances and will be asking for early ticketing. I believe once the 45 days has passed, you cannot self-serve the request in EZ-Air and would have to call in and get an EZ_Air rep to do it. I also have no idea how quickly an online Early Ticket request is acted on. But I am about to try it for our outbound (return is a bit later).
  8. LOL - I thought it was something newer for Covid as several people have Covid type comments or slogans there. It just jumps out at you with those large bold red letters.
  9. The basic US Zip is 5 digits, but you could enter all 9 (no dash). You can enter >10 digits and it doesn't complain. But the correct answer is the 5-digit code. Stupid, I know.
  10. Re-faring your cruise is distinct from re-faring the airfare. The latter can be done anytime up to ticketing the flights. The former can be done without affecting airfare IF (BIG IF) the original booking is retained while you get the new cruise fare. If the cruise booking has to be canceled and re-booked in order to get a new cruise promotion, your EZ-Air booking is also canceled, so you should know if same flights and price are still there before changing the cruise booking because an increase in airfare could wipe out the savings on the cruise fare. All you can do is ask if air booking can be preserved, but do not expect a YES if the old booking is being canceled.
  11. What the rep is try to tell you is that the new airfare will automatically update your booking and create a credit balance. Once that step is done, then you - or agent - has to request a refund. Now, if you are handling all your own EZ-Air - which is perfectly fine with a TA cruise booking - then you ought to be able to get the refund processed. But, I have not had this situation happen after FP Date, so if TA has to call, nothing to be done. I would be trying it myself first. No one is going to re-book your actual airline reservation to a lower or higher fare - unless one or more flights are cancelled by airline. It is up to us to seek out fare reductions using EZ-Air and re-book. I have been doing this lately as the fare dropped a bit at a time for our return flights home and when I checked again yesterday, they are up $300 now. I caught the very bottom and I am not expecting a fare drop after FP Date (a week or so from now).
  12. Thanks for the lecture in your signature block. 😡😡
  13. You didn't name the ship, but we booked the side opposite - over the Shops - Majestic/Regal.
  14. I get your point - and agree - but you could avoid at least some of these potential crowds. And outdoor situations are not really risky at all. It amazes me to see people walking alone around here in the hot summer with a mask on.
  15. LOL - they open the Casino as soon as they leave local waters.
  16. No doubt you can find the same thing on Expedia.com. I'd book directly with the provider, however.
  17. LOL. Lots of what the Canadian feds have done with Covid makes little sense. And don't bet on them making the change to align with CDC. Canada is stubbornly hanging on to other restrictions, so why would they let this one go?
  18. The price differences you are seeing may be the same or minimal because agencies are not allowed to advertise lower prices than Princess. The coupon books are mostly useless these days, so don't get excited over them at all. Even if the agency you are looking at has a booking page to get pricing, unless you are logged in with your Captain's Circle number (assuming you have one), you won't see the best pricing for you. Not all agencies will offer a discount - or much of a discount. Some agencies give a gift card or some OBC on-board. Perhaps you might want a lot of OBC on-board if your plan is to book Princess excursions (not what we do - we book independent private 3rd party tours). I am not interested in these rewards. I'd rather have an agency that is going to give us a good cash discount off the cruise fare. We get enough OBC from the agency group OBC, FCD OBC, and Shareholder OBC (and sometimes Princess OBC). My suggestion is to keep looking and actually talk to the agencies you find because once you talk to them, they can then quote you lower prices - IF they offer them at all. Another option for a newbie at this is to shop for the cruise you want on Princess.com and even book it or put on courtesy hold. Then look for agencies that will compete for your cruise business and you can decide if any of their quotes/offers are better than Princess. You have at least 30 days (or is it 60) from time of booking to transfer it to a TA. I can tell you that you ought to be able to find 10% off the commissionable cruise fare with using the above method. I used to get 15% off and that agency stopped doing that during Covid and now I get 12% with another agency. No one beats that.
  19. I had to try this. I had put off testing it as I know I added an extra card ages ago. Also, my main card was already part of my profile (I think) when MC App launched. Suffice to say this used to work. So, I am betting that the screen was redesigned and some programmer who ought to be looking for their next job only programmed it for numerics. Tapping a letter is simply ignored. Totally dumb. At least Canadians can get around it by following the gas station trick. But I am thinking the card is likely not validate real-time either. I just shake my head at so many little things that just show lack of competence, and also total lack of testing and quality control. What do they expect Canadians, Brits, and Aussies to do? (I know there are more, but those are large market segments for PCl. ETA: To add to their ineptness, I entered a long string of numbers and it was accepted. Know anyone that has a numeric postal code of ~15 digits?
  20. That did occur to me, but I suspect it rises and is gone quickly?? Wasn't this area open to crew before? TBH, IDK where the pre-Covid smoking areas were for the crew. Perhaps they have their own Churchill's type room below decks?
  21. There are very good private tours that will give you more time.
  22. I had not heard of this issue lately and was thinking they had the crew back smoking below decks - or wherever it was before. Such as what's wrong with the bow area perhaps?
  23. I hope he gets good feedback on cruise survey so maybe PCL will steal him from RCL.
  24. BTW, I didn't mean the above at all in a negative way. I had resigned myself to the likelihood that Dan would be gone by October and he sounds like a breath of fresh air.
