  1. Some math. If you bought PLUS fare, you pay $50/pp/day or $100/day total. Crew Appreciation is $29/day in a regular cabin. MedallionNet for a single-device = $5/day. Just buy one and share it based on your usage. That leaves $66/day for drinks. You can figure out if it makes sense to buy any of the drink packages based on your expected personal spend. Note that your mini-bar can be swapped for TWO coffee pkgs (I wish you could get ONE for half the mini-bar contents, but nope). You can also swap content of mini-bar (we get all beers and all sparkling water for the alcohol and non-alcohol portions).
  2. You always get 50% off. However, absent any official announcement (not that they ever made one in the first place), it appears as though the pre-cruise price offer on Day 1 of a voyage has been eliminated. It was a temporary thing in any case due to difficulties in the App pre-ordering MedallionNet and then also not providing the 50% discount. Now that is fixed, so they seem to have stopped the Day 1 pricing. You need to pre-order (at least 3 days ahead of sail date) in order to get the pre-cruise pricing.
  3. Go to Princess.com and read up. https://www.princess.com/ships-and-experience/food-and-dining/beverages/ Look at New Grounds Package and Coffee & Soda package.
  4. Yes, you can disembark anytime - it is like another port day in Europe. Check the itineraries for arrival of the new voyage and departure of your existing. All aboard is generally 30 minutes before departure. I'd plan an hour to be safe. Talk to your Steward and they arrange moving things. Leave all hanging in closet and pack the rest. If possible, go find your Steward for the new room and talk nice-nice and (s)he may help out by cleaning up your new room ASAP in the morning and you can get your stuff inside at least before heading ashore. Your Medallion should be dated through the entire voyage. It should even be re-programmed automatically, but you can check with PSD. The offered excursions at end of voyage are intended for folks to spend some time and then be taken to the airport. You should find your own way into Rome. It's going to take some time to get there and back, shortening your day. If you are looking to go to Vatican, for example, order your tickets ahead of time.
  5. I'd like to point out to OP and all that connecting to the wireless network on the ships is completely 100% free. All this is doing is connecting your device to a provider, similar to what you might have at home, or when at a retail store or restaurant or in a hotel. In the case of Princess ships, making the wireless connection with your smartphone (or other compatible device) gives you free access to the MedallionClass App (MC App) and its functionality while on board the ship and it is completely free. As for the Internet (badged as MedallionNet on Princess ships), that is an extra step requiring a login on your device in browser in order to access WorldWideWeb (WWW) content off the ship. It is this Internet access that guests pay for - either directly or via booking the PLUS or PREMIER fare classes. Another way the Internet might be accessed is via a wired connection which some folks may have at home or is an option in some hotels and offices is a key place where this is seen. Wifi is simply a wireless connectivity solution to a gateway access point and is not the Internet itself. I realize these terms get mixed and used for one another by some folks and usually understood, but sometimes I think it also causes confusion when the wrong term is used.
  6. Princess provides these tests. Many postings have been made about these. There is much less testing done now for B2B's than many months ago. They might drop all of the tests by October - who knows?
  7. The hold holds things as they were when you booked. I don't do what you do anymore (on Princess.com), but I imagine you can come back and apply deposits. I think I have read it will look at and accept using any available FCD's. But you can also call a rep on the phone to do it.
  8. So, it seems to me using logic and math, that if they were to sell all cabins and then need quarantine quarters, tbere would be nowhere to move guests and they would have to boot them off the voyage at great expense. Seems to me better to hold back some inventory and then release it later if turns out not needed. I refer to stuff that has been for sale. For late 2023 and 2024 just releasing in August for sale I would presume normal operations and no need for quarantine.
  9. Guests can also make up their own longer voyages by combining the ones PCL offers.
  10. Login to the app and look at your photo in the upper left corner. Tap on your photo (the yellow dot means you are off-ship. A window slides out from the left. Now there is a sea-witch logo on your photo and the color indicates your CC Member Level. ETA: As @PacnGoNow mentioned, sometimes the travel partner on the booking is correctly recognized.
  11. I could really care less about this lunch - unless I felt like a can of English/Irish brew. Last time we went to a pub lunch, we were quite underwhelmed by the quality of the fish meal. The beer was good though.
  12. Your GBP amounts are not converting nicely for me to USD using today's rate and IDK when you booked, etc. I do agree that when PCL launched Premier Fare Class at + $75 over Standard and re-priced Plus Fare Class to + $50 over Standard, they did say anyone who was already booked on PLUS (presumably at +$40 over Saver/Standard) could upgrade to Premier for only $25 and not $35. What I do not recall is if there was a time limit on that. I also don't know if UK market was given the same offer. I would try and find the initial Princess roll-out info, including their marketing seminar to TA's. I wouldn't be giving up just yet, but I would at least figure out if there was only a limited time to take PCL up on the offer.
  13. I doubt it was the ships. IDK the exact dates anymore, but it seems evident that since the MC App was corrected to apply the discount when recognizing member level, that PCL has now removed the exception policy to grant pre-cruise pricing on Day 1. The 3-day margin mentioned above by @san diego sue is a typical deadline for ordering anything in advance of the sail date. There is always a cutoff and I think it used to be 5 days for some things. (When they used to sell casino credits, the cutoff for that moved from 5 days to two weeks!!). I concur with the idea that if the incorrect Captain's Circle Level is shown in the MC App to both call the MC App support team to fix it and to order MedallionNet over the phone and get the PCL rep to apply the discount due to the MC App data bug.
  14. Your ship (and but two of them) have three main DR's (two of the other ships have these split in half). All DR's have same menus/food. There are various versions of a buffet. Newer ships have Worldfresh Marketplace. You have International Cafe for small bites and coffee-related drinks. Free food venues on deck like burgers and pizza. This can vary some by ship as to the other venues. You were on the right page, but also look at your ship's deck plan to get more familiar. Basically, almost all food items are free except for the Specialty Dining restaurants. We always bring a non-surge-protection power cord for additional US outlets. 1-2 US outlets around desk/table and Euro outlets behind/beside bed is typical. Some newer ships or remodels do have USB outlets near bedside (but not sure if it's even in all cabins).
  15. Yes, you could have three people sharing the single plan and login credentials. But you may find run into a lot of conflicts as every time someone new wants on, their logging in bumps off someone else (at least if they go with the prompt to do so). Are you all together all the time? There is a 4-device package. Just remember it's the number of devices connected at one time and not the number of people.
  16. I have done this several times if I needed to grab a new price deal in off hours and only a couple of cabins available in the target category. It is a lot easier when doing it with agency booking site since they "own" the booking and not Princess as with doing it on Princess.com.
  17. If you have online access to your TA booking engine, or pages, make a mock booking on hold to keep the cabin until you can speak with TA and then he can cancel out the hold.
  18. PCL made a huge deal with the Medallion and created ad material of folks opening up their Medallions at home like it was Christmas morning. I'd like to have it was well. They promised and promised they would be mailing to Canada soon, or by this date or that date. All a bunch of BS and then Covid came and nothing went anywhere. Only thing I can do is send it to our hotel in FLL. Does no good for an overseas departure. I am not too worried about not having it, but they make a big deal out of getting it early.
  19. Darn it. I almost asked you that question - if you had done the order.
  20. Keep going. It's in DMW under individual night bookings. You can select MDR or SD.
  21. Seems a shocker if the case. How could they drop all those islands? What is it now, STT and SXM heavy and not much more? IMO, the whole thing for the 10-nighters was to hit a bunch of islands and then a somewhat different bunch on the next go-round. ETA: The SKY eastern itinerary seems a complete bore to me with P Cay, G Turk, & A Cove. All you get is SJU for a real port. Seems like they just want folks to drink and spend money on their own properties. The CB is doing more islands with its itineraries. I like the idea of more Circle Caribbean voyages as you can head out for two weeks and not have the day back to FLL and then another day back to get south and less overdosing of P Cay. Looks like you are correct in regards to Enchanted doing the 10-nighters. Still, a variety of islands. Anyway, that is my 2 minute glance at it all.
  22. AFAIK, yes. I have accessed both, but I was Green in the App before they released the web version.
  23. If you used the web registration pages and did all required items, you should be in Green Lane. If not, I would review it all again for you and cabinmate. You cannot directly change your status - it comes naturally based upon the successful completion of Personal Information & Documents section (not all items are required, but they did a lousy job of indicating which is which). Just try to enter all the information you can and then review it and see. Impossible to tell you what specific thing or things is keeping you Blue.
