  1. I'd like to know his under-study since I am thinking a long line-up for Christian. 😉
  2. And for those who are still confused - LOL - the bow is the pointy end of the ship and the stern is the rounded or flat end of the ship. And, for a bonus info, PORT is LEFT side facing forward, and STARBOARD is RIGHT side. Easy to remember since PORT and LEFT have the same number of letters. ETA: Oh dear me. I should hold off responding when there are several more posts to come because there is at least a 90% chance what I have to say has already been said. 😉
  3. It is SUPPOSED to recognize the credits and apply them, but this is quite random. When you first enter DMW for individual nights, there is a banner message at the top of the screen, near the dates line, that indicates you have dining credits to be applied (as a promo to book specialty of course). This is a fairly new feature. If you don't see that then DMW doesn't know about your credits. You should check your Cruise Personalizer under Onboard Services to make sure those credits are there that you believe you have. Or, print the Travel Summary document off.
  4. I doubt is is worth the effort to try and change your mind given your situation. There is only one person I would assign the task to - John Padgett. 🤣
  5. I'd say YIKES to $800, let alone $1200. But then, I fly out of YYZ or BUF.
  6. Yes. I have experienced this several times. Some are directed to the liquor table which is often in the lobby area behind the security screening. I don't think anyone has pointed me there when I have had a bottle of wine.
  7. wowzz isn't all that positive in this area. First, you may bring on additional wine at port stops. I see you are only looking at a bottle or two extra, so no big deal. Probably 8-9 times out of 10 you will just walk on board at a port as they are mostly looking to catch liquors and not wine. The crew manning the alcohol table when you re-board will not know if you or anyone else had a free bottle at embarkation. If they don't ping you for a corkage fee (> 50% in my experience and from reading other CC member posts), it is subject to corkage if you take it to the DR. But in your room, no further charge. So, no guarantee you bypass the alcohol table on re-boarding, but most often it isn't an issue. Worst case, it costs you $20.
  8. You have some good suggestions above and the ship you are looking at is important. That said, if you look at sample cabins on a booking you are interested in, you can see the size of cabin and also a sample floor plan layout. That should give you a starting point of reference to what others are posting about. There is a HUGE difference between a regular Balcony and a Suite.
  9. There is zero guarantee of that and I believe it would be a fluke. The best advice I have is to speak with your companions on Night 1 and see if they booked similarly or if they were there randomly by booking single nights or were a walk-up. I hope someone else who has gone through this sees your note and replies with their RECENT experience. There are some small signs I have seen where the DRO (formerly MD) seems to have more flexibility than in the beginning??? Try to recruit other diners on your first night and then speak with the DRO or a HW and see if those interested can be blocked into the same table each night.
  10. You are allowed one free bottle of wine (std 750 ml size) per adult in a cabin - typically 2. If you take the unopened bottle to a DR, it is subject to the $20 corkage fee. You can bring any number of additional bottles - within reason I imagine, but I have yet to hear of an upper limit - but each one over the free one is subject to a $20 corkage fee at boarding time. Then, you are not charged again in the DR as those bottles will have stickers indicating corkage fee has been paid. The most I have brought on a cruise is two cases (24 bottles) which was for a 60-night voyage. I also bought some odd bottles here and there in some of the ports.
  11. Not quite. See below. ETA" Well, also see above since @skynight was posting at same time I was.
  12. You might try to keep scrolling on the times. I am noticing times out of order for at least two of our voyages. Nonetheless, there should be times every 20 minutes from 5:00pm thru 8:40pm - unless all filled up in particular slots (and this may be causing the timeslot order issue as this is a new observation for me). Yes, you need to break up the party - at least until you are on the ship. Check with the DRO (formerly the MD) and see if they can put together one larger table somewhere - if that is your wish. You will at least want the two 6-tops (no such thing as a 5-top) in proximity and then it is easy to mix it up in your group for variety each night. Please understand that you have no control over the table size when selecting Sharing option. My recommendation would be to have one person in the complete party - you for example - add all of your group as Travel Companions in MC App. Then add four of them as dining companions for a dining party in DMW. Then book a Private table for those six people. Your reservation will show up in the others MC App when they check the dining section. Next, have someone else in your group also setup everyone as Travel Companions in their MC App and similarly create a Dining Party by selecting the remaining guests that you did not already assemble. Book dining at the same time, in the same DR, using their Dining Party and again book Private table space. In this way, hopefully, they don't assign anyone to the 6th seat. Now, there is zero control in your hands to associate the two bookings. Again, see the DRO soon as possible after boarding and ask him to place you all in proximity and hopefully it all works out. If a group decides to go to Specialty Dining one night, the rest can sit at one of the tables and update the System so the empty table is available for others to use that evening. The key to all of this is to speak with the DRO as soon as you can.
  13. The first listed name on a res should not make a difference. Can you be more specific about what the problem is and the steps you have taken?
  14. Login to Princess.com. Under My Account, select Upcoming Cruises. Click on the cruise you want to bring up the Cruise Personalizer info. Click on Travel (the airplane icon). Your flight info summary is displayed. Click on the Green button for Add or Modify Flights. Next you will see your current airfare. Note that on this page there is an option to print your flight details. You can print to paper or PDF. The above is necessary for any guest who booked with a Travel Agent as the Travel Summary does not show pricing.
  15. You can login as either person on your phone. That said, when you are logged in, you can toggle over to husband's info on many menus by tapping on his picture. It is also best if you create bookings with your name first as primary if you are going to be the main contact, user of MC App, organizer, etc. ETA: On board, you can do most things on behalf of both of you. If you are on the PLUS package, it may be a challenge to order two drinks at once for yourself as you want to share it as 1 drink each. Many are reporting not a problem lately I think. If you are apart, then the other person cannot be searched for using the App and obviously they cannot look for you.
  16. I am surprised with all 3 DR's offered that you cannot find Private space for 2 as long as okay with switching DR's. So, who knows if they held back inventory, but you can always ask on board. Don't delay - do it as soon as you can on Day 1.
  17. If only going to SD once, I would always choose the Crown Grill.
  18. Private means you and dining party (if you created one) are at your own table with no one else.
  19. Yes, but then cancel what you have for those nights. Also, by the time you board, the 3rd DR may well be open and will be lots of choice. You didn't mention when your booking is, so I am wondering if DMW is offering TWO DR's to choose from, or only ONE? If the latter, PCL will eventually add a second DR in to the mix and you can jump on that to get your 2-top. With ships filling up, they have to operate all three DR's, so question is will they ever add a 3rd into DMW. (Perish the thought as it would completely screw up Traditional Dining in terms of being able to satisfy the demand on board as the App cannot handle it properly).
  20. I see. Well then, I would contact PCL and ask for the right department. I may have seen this before, but not sure where special diet concerns go to (I mean if there is a particular email address). While you are at it, ask them about adding a comment box for exceptions.
  21. In the MC App, that information is under Preferences. Tap your photo in top left corner. Tap My Preferences. Tap Dining.
  22. Interesting that they took and applied NR OBC from your second segment and applied to first segment balance owing. I guess it kind of speaks to them just putting it all in a bucket, but you and I might think PCL would hold back on using that OBC until we for certain carried on with the second segment. I think something similar is happening in DMW for booking SD restaurants. I have a total of five credits over three segments of our B2B2B. I believe it will apply all credits on any date(s) I care to book.
  23. Hi. I think you might want to review and re-work the above. Princess doesn't refund/give back non-refundable OBC. It is use-it-or-lose-it.
