  1. There is the same variety and range of table sizes in all DR's. From 2-tops to 10-tops. Similar decor, same service level. In the aft section (especially) of the aft DR on Deck 6, you can get vibration and noise from the engines - particularly if the pier departure is occurring while you are are dinner. As mentioned above, if your cabin is towards the back, you may prefer the Aft DR. If forward, you will likely prefer one of the two mid-ship DR's. I am not sure of the complete DR operation nowadays, but Princess appears to not be loading up the Deck 5 mid-ships DR's into the MC App for DineMyWay (DMW) purposes. If doing a "walk-up" for dinner, it would make sense to me to head there since guests would not have booked there pre-cruise. I am not sure if that DR gets added to DMW once the cruise begins and it might be the best choice for a daily reservation. PS to Others: (I would like to know if the 3rd DR ever does show up in DMW for booking).
  2. Lots of extra room in luggage if not packing suits and tuxes. LOL. Just kidding with you.
  3. Because the total cost is less than buying a bottle from Princess in the DR? You don't pay corkage fee unless having it opened in public space. Some people pack up bottles to take home. Also, I am not sure if a "few bottles" would attract attention when re-boarding and they would want to record it, etc. A couple - likely not an issue.
  4. Here is a new table/chart that includes two other key personnel that are often of interest and now included in this thread. (Keep the board photos coming, though. Normally on Deck 7 near mid-ship). SHIP CAPTAIN CRUISE DIRECTOR ENTERTAINMENT DIRECTOR DIR, RESTAURANT OP's Caribbean Princess Steve Holland Kristoff Greyling Martyn Moss (on leave?) George ? Coral Princess Kevin Tugwell Crown Princess Tony Ruggero Jody Miles Kelvin Joy Mariusz Caermemnazowicz (sp?) Diamond Princess Not In Service Not In Service Not In Service Discovery Princess Marcus Prince Juanta Frenchie Desbuquois Emerald Princess Fernando Cunha Enchanted Princess Mario Ciruzzi Matt Barnard Marissa Wurms Silvio Zampieri Grand Princess Corinne Steel Island Princess Andi Sanders Majestic Princess Michele Tuvo (#1) Aaron Mac Ben Powney Francisco Patricio Regal Princess Andrea Spinardi Dan France Neil Rose Nicola Furlan (#1) Royal Princess Natalie Costa Ron Goodman Ruby Princess Tim Donovan Sapphire Princess Not In Service Not In Service Not In Service Sky Princess Marco Fortezze Paul Chandler-Burns Matt Thompson Francesco Clorfito (You don't have to keep the #1 ratings I put on for fun when copying the table forward). 😉
  5. Obviously a rhetorical question. The Mktg VP that showed up, answered 4 or 5 posts in the late evening several days ago and not a peep from anyone since. I have answered more queries in that section than Princess.
  6. Android Update dated July 7, 2022. Same text as Post #3489 above by @Astro Flyer. BTW, don't we UPLOAD photos rather than DOWNLOAD them? What photos are downloaded to the App, I wonder? Anyway, the new Version number is: 3.0.103260.
  7. Thanks to both of you for the photos. We switched to SINGLE config some years ago in our typical PCL Inside cabin as it gives a roomier situation in the cabin. We will probably do the same with a Balcony I moved us to for last leg of our Fall journeys. Not sure what we would prefer with Virgin - they must have a way to do two singles.
  8. Sorry, but in Europe, it's just another port day. And as far as a place like Port Everglades goes, it is my understanding, a B2B can exit the ship anytime. Of course, they will need to clear customs with the rest of the crowd, but could then do whatever in FLL and return to the ship later in the day.
  9. Murphy bed?? Know nothing about Virgin cruise line. Makes sense if they can design it that way.
  10. MAYBE. I have been on voyages where folks bring back on wine and no one there to be bothered with it. Liquor yes - usually. Nevertheless, an unmarked bottle is subject to the corkage in the DR if not yet opened.
  11. I am not so sure it was dedicated for check-in. I think combined with Elite. However, once cleared thru check-in, there were separate seating areas for the pre-board waiting and Suites & Elites are let on first, followed by Platinums (and I think Club Class who are not already Elite).
  12. I think it always has been. (Although Sydney was pretty good when we sailed from there once).
  13. That is how it is supposed to work. Well done. ETA: Other than not checking the Covid test results.
  14. They might still have a bug or two from introducing the new package. Guests who are missing the pertinent info in the Travel Summary ought to be notifying Princess and when they hear enough, it will get worked on (it's probably on a bug list already).
  15. May not be a tux & gown, but it is still formal and most certainly meets the PCL recommendations. And they are recommendations and not a "code" per se.
  16. So sad. The rep should have got your info and called YOU back instead of asking you to call again.
  17. Login to Princess.com. Open up your booking in the Cruise Personalizer. A couple of ways to get there: At the top of the Personalizer home page, there is a small type-font like labeled "Luggage Tag & Travel Summary". It is right above the Travel icon with the airplane and the Itinerary link. Click on that. Another option is to click on the Check-In icon at the top of the home page. At the Check-In page, click on the large green box labeled "Print Travel Summary" Both options take you here: https://book.princess.com/cruisepersonalizer/documents.page When you get to the Documents page, scroll down to Travel Summary and use the link to Download the Travel Summary PDF. Save and Print.
  18. It is too bad they would have to replace receivers installed not all that long ago in order to achieve "the fastest internet at sea". Far from it now, it seems. Not sure why receivers are only good for one type of satellite. Too bad they cannot just be re-aimed. Elon Musk is just lightyears ahead of most others with his inventions and businesses.
  19. You can. This just might be a bug in that section of the Cruise Personalizer since they hurriedly had to redesign those packages and set them up with new names, etc. Actually, I am not sure if the drink package is supposed to show there since you didn't order it and buy it in Onboard Services. It came as part of your cruise fare. Cannot say with 100% certainty since we don't book the PLUS option. Using same Cruise Personalizer, if you download your Travel Summary PDF, does it not indicate having the Internet, Crew Incentive, and Drinks package? If so, you are good. But, save off that PDF.
  20. Hmm.. I am thinking not that. When you say going over it and over it, do you mean OCEAN Ready section and the Personal Information & Documents section? It is likely there where the issue is. That said, very briefly yesterday, I was surprised to open the MC App and find I was flagged Blue Lane. I switched to our other booking and was Green. I then logged off the App, closed it, re-opened and logged back in. Ta-da!! I was back in Green lane where I have been all along.
  21. Yes, I get that. I have not seen near 25% tuxedos in recent years, but in recent years (considering the Covid-19 pause), we have just sailed from Copenhagen. Whatever - it's just a number and the important thing is that a range of dress is welcome and I have no issue with anything from Smart Casual to Black Tie.
