  1. SMH. My oh my. Not good. I have no experience with that port, BTW.
  2. I would hazard around 90 minutes because more than one poster has stated reservation times of 5:30pm and 7:30pm and they need time to get everyone out, clean up and setup for the next group. I think this is hard question to ask general public since people have different values for experiences and food. I would say if you would put down the dollars for CT Lumiere or the new WMD, then 360 is more or less in that price bracket. If you avoid those and just do SD (e.g. Crown Grill or Sabi's), then perhaps you wouldn't see the value. Of course, curiosity can often win the day.
  3. I would ignore all that and either show up early or late to avoid lines. I am always at the port before 10am waiting for doors to open and among the first to board the ship. Others choose to show up at 12:30, 1:00pm and waltz through and onto the ship. This seems pretty universal from reading many posts covering various ports.
  4. From my memory, ships weren't sailing as full back then. Also, this past week would not be a good indicator of this coming week or early Dec since it was Thanksgiving holiday.
  5. First you pray. Then, access Dine My Way (DMW) in the Princess App and make a reservation. Pray again after tapping enter. Seriously, many folks posting here have reported better success booking via the Web version of the App which also offers DMW. ETA: Just saw final post and I see you had success. Great.
  6. Did you see this lengthy "Live From" thread which is most often on Page 1 of this forum since it is getting a lot of posts. I have not read it, but I would expect the OP mentioned the check-in and boarding process (Nov 12). You could try posting a question to him and he will probably respond. (I would think anything out of ordinary that may happen can affect check-in and boarding process, so be aware of that). Here's one for Nov 19:
  7. The ONLY thing you can use OBC for pre-cruise is to book Princess excursions.
  8. Right. I could have done better in my post.
  9. In Australia, the CA is baked into the cruise fares and on board beverages also have the 18% service charge baked in.
  10. True, but we have not yet reached the minimum five pages of posts, have we?
  11. Thanks but this was already updated and posted in #1152 above. PS - Welcome to Cruise Critic.
  12. He was noted as on leave. Do you know if he returns to Majestic when it departs Australia or does he have a new assignment coming?
  13. My impression is ships are full/near-full and they won't be doing a 50% off deal in that case.
  14. The pricing has been the same for a long time now. Ever since the last price increase. It is $15/day for a single device - whether purchased in advance or on board. No need to do it in advance. The 4-device plan is $40/day, so you are correct that it is cheaper for two people to each get a single device plan as long as you only need one device at a time per person in use. Not for a long time now.
  15. I doubt it as the threads are silent on that for some time now. Look at Drop 'N' Go offers and know the situation before sailing.
  16. Do not count on boarding open until 11:00am. If the travel summary says anything, it will indicate much later than that. Folks show up before 10:00am waiting for doors to open.
  17. I think you know that is meaningless. Wouldn't count on anything prior to 11:00am for the OP or anyone else.
  18. But that is minimal delay. The issue - or at least potential issue since have not read of anyone else reporting this - is being held back and not getting into building through security checkpoint.
  19. Remember a ship can appear sold out, but they have to have inventory to eventually fill whatever GTY bookings exist.
  20. If things are working correctly, they always use the Non-Ref OBC first. I am not sure you will have any Ref OBC since the rules changed. Did they grandfather Ref MOBC that was already in place indefinitely (until all of those bookings are completed as cruises)? It seems you used some OBC pre-cruise to book those excursions, so I don't think the OBC is re-constituted and used. Did you pay for some excursions for 2nd leg on your CC? Wouldn't you need to cancel and re-book on the ship in order to change the payment type? Perhaps I am not totally following this and it reads more complicated than it is.
